I don't think he is going to be her boyfriend since he will only be appearing in 3 episodes. Did Saccardo just disappear off the face of the planet or something? I hope we see him again before the finale.

He could very well end up being her boyfriend. To this I wouldn't mind actually.
As for Eddie, I know it was never specifically stated, but I have a feeling that he went on another undercover assignment.

From what I've read and heard, he won't be back at all. If there's a season 8, maybe we'll find out more.

last week lilly said she WAS seeing someone but isn't anymore. i guess that means eddies gone for good. I guess its good she has a new love interest, she needs to be happy, but i agree they always ruin it and that takes scotty out as an option

It also seems that Lilly 'told' Diane that she wanted to settle down. Remember what Yates said?
"Men want a girlfriend, not a wife."
I want to give Ryan a chance; personally I don't think it's right for us fans to start railing against him just because some of us (general us) want Lilly with Scotty. If Lilly does wind up happy with Ryan, then we should be happy, right?

Yeah its her choice. I just want her to be happy. If the show has to come to an end i'd want her to be happy when it does. even though she and scotty probably won't end up together i still love how good of friends they're becoming.

Lilly...?! Well, I do not know, but ... And I never thought I'd say this, but ... I do not know if I want to see Rush happy. I wonder, "What if she is pro FBI?" When I ask "What if she is pro FBI?", I automatically think that the series will end. Yes, because Cold Case without Lilly Rush, to me, does not work.

I know some people may like the FBI agent but with the rumours of her possiblely moving to the FBI, this guy is probably the reason for it. She deserves somebody better than him, someone who knows how much her team means to her. She better not move to the FBI! That will ruin the show!

So what if Lilly wants to join the FBI? Has it occurred to anyone that maybe, just maybe she wants to move up in her career? And so what if she gets with Ryan?
Some of you act as though the idea of Lilly joining the FBI would be the same as her joining the KKK; and her getting together with Ryan would be the same as if she were to get together with Charles Manson.
If this is the last season of Cold Case, then I'd much rather have it end with Lilly moving on up, and being with someone who actually appears to be stable; and not have it end with Lilly in the hospital (again).
So, I don't know, can we please acknowledge the fact that maybe, just maybe, Lilly wants to move up, and that Ryan is NOT the antichrist, nor is he an escaped convict who just wants to hurt Lilly?

Has it occured to you that if she moves to the FBI, its the 'END' of Cold Case?
I'd much rather it to end with the team together, than to be torn apart, especially with the main character moving on.
Doesn't it seem funny to you that her moving to the FBI may happen when he shows up in the show? No? Well then I think you are missing something here.

I agree with you, but... I don't know, it sounds too much like a irrealistic happy end for me. And you know, she can be happy without working for the FBI... her love story with Ryan shouldn't be a pretext to change her environment. I really love her relationships with Stillman and the other detectives, and if the show must be canceled, I prefer to know her with her friends & colleagues working on old cases than to imagine her somewhere else, and I don't know where or how. Did you see ER's end? At the end, life is going on. The show doesn't exist anymore, but I can imagine the characters healing people, loving... living too. It's the same thing in WAT, characters still are looking for missing persons, and living. And I hope the same for Cold Case, because I need "a kind" of continuity I think, I need to know that Stillman always will be there for her, or she will be there for Vera (7x17) or Jeffries (6x17) for instance... And I'm sure she can stay with Ryan without working with him I think. And anyway, it's too fast. Do you see what I mean? It's just my point of view, and the reason why I don't want to see her with a FBI badge.

However, people do move up in life. lillyscotty - Yes, that has occurred to me, but maybe it's time for the show to end. Call me bitter, but this season didn't really pick up until 'Flashbang'. I just wish that the fans would actually be happy for the character of Lilly. Seems to me that the only way she's allowed to be happy is if she's dating/married to Scotty (or Ray, or Kite), and forever doomed to stay with her job with absolutely no chance for promotion; unless she takes Stillman's place.

And I'm sure she can stay with Ryan without working with him I think. And anyway, it's too fast. Do you see what I mean? It's just my point of view, and the reason why I don't want to see her with a FBI badge. I saw the final episode of ER, and while the HOSPITAL went on, many of the characters who inhabited if for many years have gone on to other things. Doug and Carol are gone, Susan's gone, Luka's gone, Abby's gone, Elizabeth's gone, Kerry's gone, Deb's gone, Peter's gone, Jeannie's gone, Neela and Ray are gone. And that's not including people like Mark, Gallant, Pratt, and Romano who've died. Yes, Carter's still there, but even he went away for a while. "NYPD Blue" ended with Greg retiring to go into real estate with a woman he'd fallen for and Andy being promoted to Sergeant and taking over command of the squad. "The West Wing" ended with the President leaving office and a new President being sworn in. A few people took positions in the new administration, while others went on to other things. "The Practice" ended with pretty much all the main characters going their separate ways. Same with "JAG". As for "Without a Trace", they were cancelled without getting a definitive final episode. Who knows how they would have written things had they known for sure in advance? My point is life is not without change, even in fiction. It's not realistic to expect Lilly to spend the better part of a decade living like a nun, with no life outside of her work. It's not realistic to expect an ambitious rising star like Scotty was supposed to be when we first met him to stay in one spot forever. It's not realistic to expect older cops like Stillman and Jeffries to not eventually retire (either by choice or by force). For the record I'm skeptical that Lilly will go to the FBI (it would be far more believeable, I think, for Scotty to accept such an offer), but if it were to happen that way, I'd have a little faith in the writers.
