Don't tell me they're recycling plot lines now.....

Well, It really sounds like "Revolution" and it's even from the same year

I don't think they're recycling a plot line in the conventional sense at all.
In "Revolution", Ellie was killed by her brother, a Vietnam War veteran, when he found out she was running off to Canada with her boyfriend who was dodging the draft.
In "Free Love", a Vietnam War veteran is killed before he can flee to Canada to avoid going back to Vietnam for a second tour.
I don't see much similarity there, other than the time frame and the overall concept of "fleeing to Canada". Just because the year and the overall concept are the same, doesn't mean the episodes are the same. You can do a lot with those ideas and make it totally unrecognizable to something that has been done in the past.
Frankly, I don't see the big deal.

You're right. One could argue that The Plan and The Thin Blue Line are similar, since they're both about people being murdered at military colleges, but they couldn't be any more different

Really well-done. I will never remember Jason Doering's acting at the interrogation room and when the character tried to kill himself. Also, we had an unlikeable victim (for thid time in a row:"Greed", "Maternal Insticts" and "The plan" even if I don't consider Linda/Rebeca from "Maternal Instincts" unlikeable.

Actually, having seen "The Plan" for the first time recently, I find it much more similar to "Justice". Both show a sexual predator luring in his victims, we have the detectives feeling dubious about possibly arresting one of his victims, we have the predator's victims conspiring to confront him together, then leaving, at which point he's killed by someone else.

He was killed by another one of his victims... one who saw himself becoming the abuser he so hated and killed. I couldn't feel sorry for the woman in Maternal Insticts. She kidnapped another person's baby and left his parents with years of torment and him with years of problems as well.

Cavanaugh a love interest for Lilly. I think we all saw that one coming. As I said in the other thread, where does that leave Saccardo? I never saw his latest appearance in "Chinatown" as a definitive final appearance in the way that, say, "Saving Sammy" was Joseph's last appearance. Well, maybe they'll give us another triangle down the road. Curtis is back! Maybe we'll get some follow-up on him and Kat. (Is she still going through that custody battle with her ex? No one's mentioned it in a couple of weeks now). Curious that James Hanlon as Pierson was listed in the recurring cast for "One Fall" but "guest cast" here. Oh well, easy come, easy go. It's now confirmed that Vera' old flame Megan Easton from way back in season two's "Ravaged" is back. Rather puzzling that they would give her husband the same last name. We know Easton is her own last name since her sister Sloane had the same last name. The only two possibilities are that her husband actually took her last name (possible but extremely unlikely, especially given what the casting call says about him) or that she ended up marrying someone who happened to have the exact same last name (which seems even more unlikely). Edited to add: Two interesting notes about the guest cast: -Mimi Kuzyk was actually born in my hometown of Winnipeg! (I wonder if she's related to local news anchor Sylvia Kuzyk). -Dale Dye was a Captain in the USMC and a decorated real-life Vietnam vet. He's made a rather good living the last few years as a military technical advisor on TV shows and movies and occasionally acting. You might have seen him in the "Under Siege" movies or as a general that gets saved from being blown to bits in the pilot episode of "Chuck". Check his IDMb page! Edited again to add:Huh?

@toddsmit: Maybe she's not using her husband's last name. Many women in today's world do that. keep their original surnames

@toddsmit: Maybe she's not using her husband's last name. Many women in today's world do that. keep their original surnames Yes, I'm aware of that. My mother kept her last name. If you read my above post, I said the fact that she and her sister had the same last name means she's apparently not using his last name. I said the only two explanations are that he took her last name or she just happened to marry someone with the same last name as her (both of which are possible but quite unlikely).

OK. I understand but the second is even more unlikely.

I have to say... why are they investigating a break in? Friend or not, a simple burglary doesn't seem to be something the Cold Case squad would be deal with.... or a murder that happened in Woodstock that appears to have no connection to Philly or the CC squad in any way.

Just because the murder didn't happen in Philadelphia doesn't mean there's no reason for them to investigate it. In Wednesday's Women, the murder didn't happen in Philadelphia, it happened in Mississippi. It's more than likely the victim is from Philadelphia and friend or family member wants their case re-opened.

I wonder this new guy's secrets are. No way Lily could have a stable boyfriend.
