Who is Cavanough?
The season will have 22 episodes: This is # 20. Finales are never old... I don't think #21 will be again from 60's.
There will be no episode from 1961

She's in the previous two episodes as well..... is she a replacement for another team member? Considering she's in a lot of scenes with Rush, I hope it's not Valens...

Well if we're talkin' Woodstock, then this is clearly a '69 case.
Hippies in 1969, and one of them turning out to be an FBI informant, eh? Sounds an AWFUL lot like seaon one's "Volunteers". (Maybe they're hoping it's been long enough that the average viewer's forgotten about that one).
I wonder if they'll remember that Stillman said he was at Woodstock.

The only thing I can think of is that someone else joins the team...but if Scotty and Nick are investigation something close to home (I'm guessing Philly) the only other thing I can think of is Lilly is somewhere else. Transfered? I don't think so, but I am wondering who this 'Cavanough'?

I am wondering who this fbi agent is as well... and Tsmitts, I was thinking the same thing on the hippie/fbi informant. I hope they don't recycle scripts for the last couple of episodes.

I was trying to figure out who this "Megan Easton" was that was mentioned in the cast list. It wasn't one of the characters listed, so I figured it was someone introduced in an earlier episode. Since I didn't recognize the name, I assumed it was someone introduced in one of the upcoming episodes (like the mysterious "Cavanough"), but I didn't see anything there either.
So looked back a bit bit and saw that Megan Easton was victim's sister in "Ravaged", who was Vera's old flame. Surprised that they would bring her back now, but hey, maybe if she kicks her cheatin' husband to the curb, Vera might get some lovin' at last. (I'd still rather see him with Toni, but I'll take it).

In the case Vera and Valens are involved in.. is it even a murder? They don't deal with break ins, only cold cases..

Free Love as the title should have been a giveaway that it was from the latter part of the 60s, not the early part. "Free Love" was a slogan/movement heavily associated with the hippies. Personally, I can't wait for this episode because the music from that part of the decade is to die for. |

Hendix, The Who, CSN, Jefferson Airplane, The Grateful Dead, Judy Collins, CCR, and a whole host of others whose names escape me. Lots of great music to choose from. |

The team investigates the 1969 murder of a young soldier who was killed while planning to go to Canada rather than face his second tour in Vietnam.
That's the main plot. Something similar happened in "Revolution" (season 2) when the victim and her boyfriend were planning to go to Canada... :/
