yeah she nees to stop putting up that wall when shes upset. I mean i know she's been sad in all the seasons but season 5 was the worst. she needs to open up to someone -like scotty  too bad there was no dramam this episode. no shirtless scotty  |

haha nope. Not yet anyway  She is one of the most emotionally-congested characters I've ever seen. I like it in one way because it's more realistic but as far as moving her story along... DEAR LORD Lilly is infuriating with her inability to face her past. (or maybe it's me who is just losing patience) |

well it does make it more realistic. everyone has a past or something that makes them sad, something thats always on her mind, but most people have at least one person they can talk to. She doesn't have that which annoys me too. She won't talk to anyone and she needs to. Scotty is like her only friend and she wont even talk to him about the stuff that bothers her. Maybe they could become more and then she would open up ...oh if only fanfictions could become true. |

Oh tell me about it!  I agree as well. In my mind, Scotty's the only one who has been there for her all along ...she just has to take a minute to stop and realize it. I think she needs to open up to him first - let him in - but then, hopefully, more will come and a new closeness will have emerged between them. |

Yeahm maybe something will happen this season that will help her to open up to him. She kind of talked to him in the season 4 finale and she did cll him when she needed help.

Oh, LSR. I thought I missed you, and then I saw that pic... why couldn't you STAY GONE?  ;D ;D Just kidding. You know I love you. Or love to hate you. I can't remember which. And yes, Lilly has to deal with her stuff. But I have to say, I'll eat my hat (or become a shipper, or something equally ridiculous) if they actually address the shooting/her mother's death in any kind of depth AT ALL, ever again. I feel like that storyline is, and always will be buried in one of the boxes in the basement. Not gonna happen. I do love how she has that tough edge back this season, though. Hot. We can all speculate on who, if anyone, has something to do with that, but I will just zip it for now. |

Tell me you haven't already forgotten some important life lessons learned in this thread; Green eggs and ham are yummy. ;D Ah, good times. As for Lilly dealing.. I agree it's buried far, far, far below other boxes with cobwebs but, dude, they HAVE to address the shooting. They can't just let that entire storyline go!!! They just CAN'T! ( can they?  ) And edge-smedge. I really haven't noticed THAT much of a difference in terms of her 'toughness' from S5 and if I hear the words BBQ or Buttmunch uttered as being the reason for this so-called change... there's going to be some of this:  This:  Followed by lots of this:  And yep, in that order. lol. Nothing at all, RichE! We love you just as you are! Well even IF Eddie *cough* came back (imo, anyway). lol. I do want Lilly to be happy but I don't think simply ignoring and burying all the things that are bothering her psyche is the way to go (as she acted when she was with Butt...err..Eddie and every other guy she's been with for that matter) Scotty on the other hand ( ) could meet her half way. He knows how fragile she is but is also the only one (next to maybe Stillman) who can reach her. I love that he calls her out on some ... stuff... (even if she gets the broom out and sweeps it to the rug in the next minute). I truly believe he could be there for her the way a person like Lilly (if there ARE others) needs so desperately. |

Ok It's been awhile I have posted...overworked...but I am now seeing this thread has not been getting much attention.
I have not had the time to watch any of the new episodes for the past month or so...does the idling mean that there are no Scotty/Lilly moments to be analyzed in a shipper point of view?
That would make me smile if there were even some tiny ones :-)
I have not seen any of the apparently developping Scotty's relationship with that other girl...But I can already tell I don't like it...
As I mentioned before, I like the way fanfictions can fulfill my desire to see Scotty and Lilly finding a way to be together ;-) Anyhow enough rambling for now. Hope you're all doing well!

You're absolutely right, elodie.
There are only very rare L/S moments this season so far. What a pity. I was hoping for this season that they would REALLY and HONESTLY speak about what happened at/after the shooting, but...nothing.
This season, as I can tell from the short scenes I've seen so far because they don't run in Germany yet, Lilly and Scotty only work together, solve cases together, examine crimescenes together, get paperwork done together. Nothing more than that.
I'm actually a bit disappointed about this. I thought - hoped - they would have some great friendship moments together in this season.
Well, we just have to wait and see. Maybe there'll be something later or in the finale.
