Scotty wasn't jealous but acted more as a younger brother, looking out for his older sister so to speak. I think he knows that Saccardo has stolen Lilly's heart

Do you think there is any possible way, ANY possible way at all, that this could remain a shipper thread? Maybe we're delusional, maybe we're not, but we like Scotty and Lilly, we like the idea of them together, and we need a place to discuss their "moments." I realize that not everyone ships them, and that's fine, but I don't think it's too much to ask for shippers to be allowed to express their opinions here and discuss these "moments" without constantly having our opinions shot down. We don't invade the threads for other ships, we leave them alone and let you discuss things to your hearts' content. I honestly don't think it's too much to ask for the same respect.

Well, I think we should take a look at the clip with the Frappuchinos, because I wasn't really paying attention to Scotty's body language, I only heard him speak. (I was opening a package of Mentos. ) But I personally think it sounded like he was very jealous. I've noticed a change from season 5, where he liked Eddie because he brought in ribs for everyone, (lol ) , but now he seems to have a sense of hostility now that him and Lilly are closer. And I can easily understand how this can be interpreted in many ways. Some people can say that he's jealous in a friend way, some can say that he's jealous in a romantic way, but to really figure it out is to look at the body language. (And trust me, I'm not going to be opening any packages of Mentos during a Lilly/Scotty/Eddie scene. )

Personally, I'm leaning to the romantic side.

Well...Scotty seemed annoyed, it was almost a rivalry of the alpha male going on between the two...I think that he was jealous. I might just see that of course with my shippers eyes :-) We'll see how it develops, if only I could go inside the writers' minds and tell them that they could write Scotty and Lilly while making them work and without taking over the show and keeping the flow of the stories....

Yeah, I completely agree, that shift is interesting. It seemed like Scotty really liked Saccardo when he brought in food for everyone, but there seems to be some serious dislike now, and, I find interesting to note, it's a dislike that Scotty's never shown for any of Lil's previous love interests. Not just you, elodieusa. I have friends who watch the show who have no vested interest in the Scotty/Lilly ship, and even they've been forced to admit that there's some jealousy going on. The writers could easily have removed those scenes, but they didn't. They could have changed the dialogue last week (y'know, having Scotty say something like, "it's nice to see you smiling again" instead of snarking on the Timberlands); they left it alone. And we know that nothing on this show happens by accident.

Again...I think it's all about how the writers portray it, it does not have to be an easy at the beginning thing for two reasons: because they work together and because of the entire Christina's history. But...they could overcome it also for three reasons: Lilly and Christina's story is not the easiest, Lilly and Scotty were not together at the time and if the show continues for a long time, it could sneak in on them ;-)
Being shippers is sometimes imagining ways to make it work...even if it is just in our imagination....
Just my two cent on your question :-) and personally I don't take offense (so far :-))))))

Shippers shouldn't have to defend from such statements as this:

Though I'm actually not a real shipper, I really love it when the show gives us just little personal moments of those two, little moments where you get to know how deep their friendship really is. I also liked the whole dynamic in Stalker, but they really dropped down this subjects of Lilly and Scotty talking about what had happened. Just one little 1 minute talk in Thrill kill. That has been a bit disapointing.
Anyway, I really love those friendship-moments and I hope that there will be some in season 6!

I agree. Don't get me started on the way the shooting was handled, because I will become quite tiresome in a hurry. It was obvious from the last scenes of Stalker that there was something pretty powerful going on, and then for them to just have that little "Thanks for saving my life" exchange and then Scotty go on to bang the ADA was silly. I did notice how much Scotty worried about Lil most of last season, and how he knew she wasn't sleeping well, (and of course, what happened in The Road), which was nice, but...they needed to talk about it. Still do.

Okay, I'll shut up. So far, this season has given us a couple of fun little moments, and I'm looking forward to more. Those moments are one of the hallmarks of the show, and something that I think shippers and non-shippers alike can enjoy.

I just watched the preview for next Sunday's episode and as usual a suspect seems to hit on Lilly...Scotty's face says more than a million words :-)
I don't know if the writers will ever put those two together but in my imagination they form a heck of a cute couple :-) OK enough L/S obsessing back to real life...anybody want to do my laundry? ;-)
