I don't get TNT, KF. But I've heard the reviews and have seen Kyra on the talk circuit. The one thing I might not be able to deal with is the accent she uses for her character but it's definitley successful. Actually I felt that Cold Cold was going to stay Lilly centric for all the cases as they did in season 1. I was so suprised that they deviated from that because it was a great idea.
Check out the article I just posted today in the Cold Case Articles forum.......

I just started watching this show with the 2nd season premiere. It's very good. I actually just added S1 to my Netflix queue. Kyra is great, but like Naj, I'm not a fan of her accent. It's a little too over the top to sound native. Other than that, she's wonderful.

has anybody been watching it i love it, i boutght it from amazon ages ago and the first season is atarting next week on tv 2, im so excited that its been picked up for a 3rd season source E! online I always forget about this folder down here, so sorry if I'm answering this a bit late. I have been watching this from the beginning and I really enjoy it. I have always enjoyed Kyra Sedgwick's performances in most everything in which I have seen her, so it was really nice to see her take on this role. I actually was watching this show before I discovered CC, and now that I watch both, I would love a Brenda and Lilly tag-team interrogation - the suspect would not stand a chance. LOL! I actually think CC could pick up a few pointers from this show on how to give Lilly a personal life WITHOUT sacrificing her true self and/or her duties as a detective. Brenda's relationship with Fritz is really so well-done - I really like how she always seems to teeter on wanting it and fearing it at the same time given her prior end of marriage with an abusive husband. She has her own baggage about relationships (like Lilly), and thus, I think it's very believable in how they've paced it. I also like Fritz as being a genuinely good guy who is totally committed to Brenda - that no matter what Brenda throws at him, he can take it whilst also holding her accountable. He's not a pushover, but he's not harda*s, either. It's this kind of equal footing I'd like to see CC possibly try with the Lilly/Joseph storyline. I'll be cheering for Kyra to win the Emmy.

This is exactly what I have been thinking LillyKat (I even wrote about it in my blog). CC could definitely take some pointers from this show on the whole case/personal life ratio. This show has it down perfectly. There's always a nice balance without feeling like either element has been sacrificed.

I watched an episode a couple days ago and I actually really liked it. Is it worth watching?

Definitely! I just started watching it this season, and I'm hooked. It's a great show, and it makes the long-summer a lot easier, especially since it does have CC-like elements to it.

I watched an episode a couple days ago and I actually really liked it. Is it worth watching? I would definitely recommend the show, CC Fan. It's got a lot of great elements to it. You'll have to catch a few more eps and let us know what you think!

It's a great show- very well written and a terrific ensemble cast. It's funny too. I should be getting my S1 DVD in the mail soon. Can't wait! The pilot episode is just awesome. Threw me for a loop!

Now, I'm really dying to see the pilot witchykitty. I've got it on my Netflix queue coming up, so it shouldn't be too much longer.

Now this is funny ... I've been watching the show since the beginning, and now I can't remember what the pilot episode was about. (This is bad ... I should have my Closer pass revoked. )

Just thought I'd bump this thread up a bit to say the last 3 weeks or so of episodes from Season 2 have been really good. Interesting cases, and some great backstory has been developed for Brenda and Fritz's relationship. The show seems even stronger now in Season 2 than it did in Season 1.

Yeah, season 2 has been great so far. Last nite's episode sure was different! Brenda was a little off her game. I still don't get enough of her and Fritzy together. He's so good for her. Fritzy has really developed into a wonderful boyfriend, and he helps her with her job. It' really adds to the show.

This show has been excellent recently. Last week's malpractice/murder episode was so sad. Kyra is awesome on this show. I always loved her for her roles on Hearts and Souls and Phenomenon, but Brenda Leigh Johnson was made for her.

Anyone catch last night's (August 14th) episode ...? The Brenda/Pope history finally got a bit more juicy - they have been dancing around their whole prior relationship from the show's inception, but last night there was finally some detail. Only 3 more episodes left in Season 2.

They will also air a two-parter, which will be directed by Kyra's hubby, Kevin Bacon, sometime in December. That's nice- the show's hiatus will be broken up so the wait for Season 3 won't be so long. That's the only thing I really dislike about cable shows. I've been waiting for The Shield since March and I've got a long ways to go: January!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE that attorney, Tom Blanchard, who represented Brenda. I had been hoping he'd be back (he was originally in the episode this season where the papparrazo fell off his hotel balcony).
From the spoilers, the next 3 episodes are gonna get a lot more interesting! I can't wait to find out what's going on, but 15 episodes go fast and I don't want it to end!

I love when these shows allow seemingly put-together characters to melt down a bit. It makes them more human. Brenda was definitely falling to pieces before our eyes with all of that personal stuff coming out.
I'm bummed about the season coming to an end. Cable shows kill me with their almost year-long hiatuses!

Anyone catch this past Monday's ep (August 28th), with Brenda in the little fender-bender car accident on her way to a triple homicide ...? I always enjoy some pretty good laughs with most of the eps in this series, but this one I found myself laughing a lot. The whole thing with the traffic cop investigation, no cell phone (result of accident), Pope not really coming to her aid/quizzing her about knowing the LAPD code, Fritz having to drive her around ... too, too funny. The case was pretty good, too. But Brenda's quirkiness in this ep was what stuck out - what always makes her so interesting to watch. Here's to Kyra on Sunday ... am hoping she might take home the Emmy.

That storyline cracked me up! That kind of stuff is always the best on this show anyway, but it was particularly good this past week. I just loved how the entire thing esculated into a hit-and-run and then how Brenda dealt with it. Brilliant! I'll certainly be rooting for Kyra on Sunday night.
