@ frenchfan: So glad you liked the fourth ep! It definitely was intense. Fifth episode gets back to the humor. Congrats to Kyra on being nominated for another Emmy!

WHOOO Kyra being nominated for another Emmy!!!! XD. I think she should win everytime she gets nominated ^^. I love her acting as Deputy Cheif Brenda Johnson. Darn it...missed another The Closer episode...they should really change their time-slot lol. I always miss shows that are on Mondays XD.

Another too-funny episode last night ("Dumb Luck"). I was laughing the whole time with the squad having to wander around the murder room in their Hazardous Materials suits to complete their Weapons of Mass Destruction training - which of course Brenda arranged to have inside so they could all still be working on the murder. Some spot on dialogue, too ... just another gem of an ep. More thoughts over at Pass the Remote.

SPOILER IF YOU HAVEN"T SEE THE LATEST EPI. > > > > > > OMG!!!! Does anyone think Brenda is pregnant? I mean she's been having the "fever" for quite a while and mood swings and plus at the end of the episode, Fritz and her even thought she was pregnant. Maybe it's going to be a mis-carriage?(highlight the next part, talks about what I saw in the 30 sec preview of the next new epi) Because the next episode from the preview is really intense because it's about a serial killer and from the preview it suggest that Brenda may be his next "victim".

YAY!!! A 4th season!! WHooooooooooooo!! I guess TNT made a good business decision on not cancelling the show because there were rumors that it might be cancell because the ratings were doing too well in the earlier seasons. WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! I'm glad we're getting a 4th season XD.

Strong episode last night ("Manhunt") ... we finally got the answer to Brenda's medical issue (I totally had it wrong - LOL!) AND we got a serious race against the clock to prevent a serial killer from striking again. The ending confrontation between Brenda and the killer ... intense. This show rarely disappoints. More thoughts over at PTR.

Lol LK, I can't wait until the next epi XD. It's even more intense lol. Can someone who watched last Monday's epi answer my question?(highlight because it's a spoiler for people who didn't watch it yet) What the heck is menopause??@lk,(highlight to read) The woman's name that she saved was Melinda Trent, not Linda

@ cbl - Thanks for catching my typo over at PTR. I will fix it. In answer to your question about Brenda's "condition" ... *SPOILER SPACE* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Menopause can be defined here.

awww poor Brenda.... Disccussion on Brenda's dianogsis so far(spoilerish if you didn't see the episode yet) However, in reality menopause is not simply a matter of the permanent stopping of periods, it is a phenomenon which involves the shutting down of the whole of a woman's reproductive functioning.
Menopause occurs as the ovaries begin to fail to be able to produce an egg or ovum each and every month, which in turn after a number of years, leads to the somewhat chaotic shutting down of the whole reproductive system. The break-up of the pattern of the menstrual cycle causes the reproductive hormones to fall out of phase with one another and this causes extreme and unpredictable fluctuations in the levels of several reproductive hormones. After a number of years of erratic functioning, the ovaries stop producing estrogens, progestin and testosterone, and the entire reproductive system gradually shuts down.
So she can't have a baby if this progresses?? awwwww. This suaks....I always wanted my periods to stop, but looks like there's always "consequences". This really suaks!! Why do girls have to have a "period" Boys have it soo easy.....

An article I found in the British The Guardian newspaper briefly covering The Closer, Saving Grace and Damages. I'm guess that the writer, Jonathan Bernstein, is American but this is aimed at a British audience. Luckily there's a version on the web to save me typing it out. HERE(I'll post this in the thread for each show)

:gasp: It sounds like he doesn't like these shows =/. It sounds....sooo harsh.....Kyra Sedgewick is a notable actress...I mean she's pretty good in all her films and she even wont lots of awards to prove it.

In fairness he is only really saying he doesn't like Saving Grace.
He mentioned Kyra as having largely gone unnoticed in movies but having made a big splash on TV. No criticism as such in that.
He seems to like Glenn Close but thinks the show is not allowing her to shine. It's odd to make a star-vehicle like that and then not showcase her much.

An another very great episode (Blindsided), maybe my favorite though I almost say it all weeks. This season is really wonderful. Intense, so intense ep. The authors have really a great talent to mix humor and emotion. They are really experts to know when humor is suited or is not it. And emotion was really for the meeting in this episode. Wow. The interrogation in the elevator was an absolutely intense moment. And the last sentence to the murderer, Brenda finally, I hope to hear Lil saying the same thing in CC this season. oh okay. :gasp: Omg!! Only 3 new episodes left of the Closer!!! :gasp:
