And now I just pictured CBS saying, "We will release the rights for the show, for ONE BILLION DOLLARS!"
Anyway, the next course of action may be to continue writing to TNT, asking them to pick up the show; AND writing to CBS and asking them to release the show to TNT.
I just can't see why CBS is acting so stingy with this show. First they stopped filming in Philly. Then they cut out some of the main cast for 6 episodes each. They cut down on the licensed music, started using more 1 artist episodes. They didn't have as many old cases; they didn't really advertise this show. They won't release it on DVD, and now they might not give up the rights to it?
I mean, I could understand it, if CBS had some plan to create a spin-off of the show; but that's not happening.

I agree Rev...but like I said.. we have no ideas what's happening behind the scenes... and if the woman did say that, then perhaps TNT IS in talk mode with CBS.

I agree Rev...but like I said.. we have no ideas what's happening behind the scenes... and if the woman did say that, then perhaps TNT IS in talk mode with CBS. No, I made my post to let people know that they are wasting their time trying to convince TNT to pick it up (or from the sound of it any other station). Our ONLY hope is that CBS will realize the error of their ways so to speak and put it back on. As for expense....I imagine its not cheap to send a bunch of American contestants to foreign countries to act like their tribal ancestors or run from one moronic task to another (my apologies to fans of those shows). I'd rather keep a show like CC and stop patronizing other countries businesses (crew members and contestants have to eat, stay in motels, etc) and allow businesses here to make money here. Does anyone know if this board has gotten the attention of any of the cast/crew of cold case? I've had an idea for this show for many years and if the show would be/ would have been willing to make a couple of changes I think it may have gotten some respect and backing from Law Enforcement. CC would be the perfect show for this too. Those of you interested in real unsolved cases go here www.doenetwork.org/unidindex.html and go through the list. There are over 6,000 unidentified crime victims in the US alone. This is what I mean when I said that theres enough to keep the show busy for years. Base a story on one of these poor souls and take a few seconds at the end of each show to say which case the episode was loosely based on (remember the end of Without A Trace? Same concept). I know many episodes were based on solved cases (except the Boy In The Box case which you will see is case number 4umpa at the site I gave you above). If the show would have (or would) take this approach it would have the same backing that America's Most Wanted had when that show was in danger of being canceled.

CBS isn't going to put it back on....so all we can do is write letters and hope they'll allow TNT or some other network to allow filming new episodes.

Now that's very, very sad to hear. CBS really do suck! That's quite unfair. Thanks to lonewolf634, we now know unless CBS releases the rights to Cold Case, TNT is unable to pick it up. So...I guess it can't hurt, right? Request them to give up the rights of Cold Case to TNT. You can do that here: www.cbs.com/info/user_services/fb_global_form.php
