Hello boys and girls!  Good Wednesday to you all! I hope that you are all having good weeks, I know I am!  Well, the consensus seems to be that ratings are down. I agree, but I'm just trying to get as much out of this season as I can. We helped make this happen and we need to take a little time to enjoy that. Hi Naj! Hey, girl! How are you today? Thank you for your kind thoughts to me on my opening message for this thread. Do you like my seizing of the initiative here? And yes, I will be happy to keep my opening thread updated week by week this season, Naj - no problem, girl. We will have to keep in touch over PM too - I'm anxious to see how you are. Also, I saw that CC did not break the Top 20 in the Nielsens this week either. Oh well, keep watching, boys and girls! |

I watch it on a different channel because my mom got me some of my old Canadian channels so I get to see it earlier. But I don't think it counts towards its ratings because of it being a Canadian channel! They are I swear just trying to bomb it so they can't renew it next year!!!!! |

Im up at 3:30 Monday mornings I can't be up until midnight to watch it! They should move it back because you can even tell by the ratings that the timeslot hitting it with full force! |

It's a common technique used by stuidos when they don't renew a show. The ratings aren't high enough. Of course they know this and that the timeslot has everything to do with it. But it sounds nicer than stating they're letting people go because of cost etc

By the way, I've been wondering something. Almost everyone here talks about how Cold Case was preempted because of NFL overtime, and I'm wondering which Time Zone you're from. I ask, because I'm in the Mountain Standard TimeZone (so I'm an hour earlier, that is I watch Cold Case at 9 my time.) But so far the show has NEVER been pre-empted.
I don't know if it's because where I live they don't show the NFL overtime, or what.

7.2 million. eeks it's even lower! Thank you byrdman for keeping us up to date with the show's numbers. I didn't watch it last night because it came on too late and I've yet to figure out my DVD recorder. So I missed what I thought was going to be a very good episode. I am bummed!   |

It's hard to get a good read on the ratings. It being 7.2 million might be due to the fact it started at 10:42-10:45 and it's after a bleh show. Move it back to nine and the ratings will go up. Unless of course they're going to try and use the ratings excuse to cancel it after this year.

Hi Naj! Hey, girl! How are you today? Are you any better? I'm sorry that you are down, I hope that you can smile again, girl. I'm sure that CBS will be re-airing this episode soon. Just as a rule of thumb for recording on Sunday nights, I would record the program before and a couple of more that are scheduled after Cold Case to make sure that you get the whole thing. Cold Case will be delayed by 40 to 50 minutes.... again!! CBS Needs to find another way to do this ( Making a seperate channel for sports only), this is bad for all the primetime shows. Moving it to 10pm and it starting later 40-50 minutes late, really makes people not really wanting to watch it almost 11pm at night so to speak. Bad time slot move, they need to change it back to 9pm. |

CBS had this show on the brink of cancellation last season, couldn't they just have left CC on at 9pm, and put that " Three Rivers", show at 10pm?
It really isn't fair to the fans, they should at least know that already. They renewed the show, yet why even put it on another hour later only to make it suffer. CC is still a great show, but c'mon already the ratings are lousy this season. It did much better at the 8-9pm time slot.
