She did look hesitant. It was like she had this look of, "OK, mom why did you just say that? Something's wrong here. Hmm should I stay? Naah!"

I loved this Season Finale of Cold Case, it definitely made me want to watch more episodes of this season and last season(i've been watching it on/off). I also felt bad for Lilly at the end...not because she was shot, but her mother also died. I also love the Lilly and Scotty moment.

Okay... I know this is only tv....but i don't get why Lilly asked questions to that girl in front of that guy?? I mean don't they have to follow protocol? So shouldn't that girl have been interviewed in the interrogation room? Oh well....i'm guessing that was the only way they could do the hostage situation.....

She was in a hospital, and with good reason, so having a medical person close by made sense. Plus because she'd been so unresponsive having someone with an understanding of the condition there was helpful. And, she was quite young so they'd probably normally need an appropriate adult to sit-in, and a caregiver seems a reasonable choice.
But yes, cop shows play very fast and loose with procedures, unless doing it by the book suits a particular plot. The classic one being the cop that is allowed to be involved in a case that they have a personal interest in, a friend or relative that's been murdered for instance. That would never be allowed because it would get a case thrown out of court.

I saw this one last week and I LOVED it. I think I might be back to my old "Cold Case addicted" days.
My only disappointment was Ellen's death. Her presence always provided us chances of understanding Lilly better, the things she does and why she became the person she is today. Oh well. Hopefully will be able to see Lilly dealing with Ellen's death, and that will provide some good insights about her.

They start with shooting and end with shooting. I didn't watch much of this season but the first and last episodes were both great (dispite the fact that they both included guns and shootings).
Dunno if there's gonna be season 5 or 6 (is there?), but I think that the show is coming to its end soon, since they're putting more personal stuff of the characters to the show (like ending the story of Lil's mom, which was pretty sad to watch, all the relationships etc. ), so anyway, I think that now would be a perfect time to fix Lilly and Scotty together. That's the thing that is gonna happen at the end anyway, so why not start to deepen their friendship already... Of course providing that Rush won't die into shock or blood lost or anything before the next season.

eli- There is going to be a 5th season. Something strikes me when they show Lilly's house from the street then inside. The windows over the door don't match the pattern that they should from the outside shot

@lii2. That's because what they show on the outside is far different from what they show inside. I don't know if this is true for Cold Case, but I know that a lot of shows use closed sound stages. I do think that some of the buildings, Lilly's home for example are closed sound stages.

Yeah but at least they should try to match it up with the outside. One thing else, couldn't the original investigators try to link Ed ISP number to him. It can be done

This is TV. Some things are bound not to make sense.

Hmm...That Would Make A Good Storyline If Scotty Shot Lilly By Mistake..! It Would Be Like A Twist In The Tale...
I Like That Theory Lol

Also Lilly Seemed To Have A Lot More Blood Than Stillman But I Think There Could Have Been A Possibility That Lilly Got Shot On An Artery Or Something

I finally saw the episode and I'd like to say a few things too... I have to say, that even though I spoiled myself as much as possible by reading all about it here at Look Again, I still thought it was an excellent episode. I knew about Lil's mother and I knew about Lil as well as abut the rest of the shocker things, but it still had a very good and strong atmosphere. I'm a big sucker for a good action every now and then and the last 20 minutes of Stalker had a great dynamic. About the case - it was really sad to watch how the family was falling apart and how it affected the kids. It's always sad, when kids get involved in their parent's relationship's crisis. Kim seemed to be really depressed, so I understood why she used the chance to have someone who understands her, but at the same time I thought she was SO naive... I mean, being a bit of a paranoid person myself, I guess I'd be more scared than amused by the card and the stalkerish photos on the computers - especially the photos were quite creepy. Actually when the family came home and found the "altar" of the computers I thought "Why don't you call the police right away?!" It might help prevent the tragedy. But than again, the Romeo guy was a psycho and he'd probably come to "save" his Juliette some other day... But what's really in my head right now is the sudden death of Lil's mum... I'm a bit confused, I mean, after all the 4 seasons of slowly getting to know her and the very complicated relationship she had with Lilly, after all what seemed as a preparation for something more, some kind of catharsis (is it the right word?) that would give these two a chance to at least try to make things between them a tiny little bit better, all of a sudden it all ends... But yeah, I see - CC is no soap opera and many times it really plays on the realistic note and unfortunately, this is what happens in life. It's just that it was so sudden, like in one scene Lilly's talking to Ellen and than - bang! - two scenes later Ellen's gone. That was sad. Btw, let me tell you something about how dubbing sucks sometimes - I was wondering how they're gonna handle all the "Hey" Scotty/Lilly dialogs in czech and unfortunately the meaning of it got all lost in translation... They used three different words in those scenes instead of "hey" and it pretty much ruined what the dialogs meant for Lilly/Scotty friendship... Oh well, I guess I should be happy we got the season 4 here after all and forget the complaints. ;D OK, that's my two cents - sorry it was so long...

loved the season finale.... even though everything was a little too obvious... they also need to go ahead and get scotty/lilly together... its obvious he cares about her and i dont mean in the partner relationship... besides most of these shows end up with the two main characters together in the end... maybe their waiting for the last season of cold case, whenever that may be... they should definitly get together, even if it makes the show mushy...

It sounds like just as Scotty was shooting Ed, it sounded like Lilly crying as the bullet it her

So, I finally saw this episode. I love KM so any Lilly-centric ep gets bonus points from me, but honestly I didn't like it as much as I thought I would.
First, and I think others here have said this as well, why in the bloody hell didn't the family call the cops immediately when they saw the computer "shrine?" Please. I don't care how messed up your marriage is, you don't have the argument right then and there and then decide to go make popcorn and have a bonding experience when some psycho is stalking your daughter and clearly lurking at that very moment. That, and the fact that the son's friend saw all of this and never said a word. Why? I mean, I know he was a kid and all, but an entire family was obliterated that very night and he didn't think that maybe it might be relevant? Of course, when his dad asked him why he didn't tell, they cut the scene. Damn because I was really looking forward to the answer. I must say, as much as I love this show, at times the amount of disbelief we're supposed to suspend is a bit too much.
The good: Lots of Lilly. The Dashboard Confessional song at the end. Also, the comment Valens made in the beginning about how everyone thought the Dad did it, like a "John List thing." My Forensic Files-loving nerd self appreciated that comment because I was fascinated by that case and no one knew what I was talking about unless they happened to remember that one episode of America's Most Wanted that got List caught.
So... yeah. Not my favorite, by a long shot. But enjoyable anyway, because truth be told, I could watch Kathryn Morris read the phone book for an hour and be entertained. (I cannot, however, watch "Cool as Ice." I have to draw the line somewhere.)

Good episode. I have seen it a few times but still can't get over Stillman getting shot but I think he did get up for Lilly's sake.
Loved how Vera pulls that file cabinet to get to the keys and how he is texting to Vales and Miller.
I'm sorry to see Ellen go, I think they made that storyline go by too fast and I liked Meredith as Ellen.
