I think this episode was one of the season's best.
Poor Lilly, Loosing her mother and now getting shot. Why did she say at the end' Mom' during the surgery? I think Ellen Rush did say goodbye to Lilly by saying " Good bye Baby'.
I like how the word ' Hey' betwen Lil and Scotty was their secret code like. I'm guessing Lilly is alive at the end and didn't die , but Scotty seems so broken
Why was Lilly awake during the surgery and not put under

I couldn't watch it the last 15 minutes. It was too upsetting. I have to settle down. I only half watched. Talk about a bad day at the Philly Homicide. Actually it was from the point Stillman got shot that I got upset.....

...Why did she say at the end' Mom' during the surgery?...Why was Lilly awake during the surgery and not put under... Ahh... I thought that was an interesting touch. We usually see the "ghosts" that people see at the end of the episode, but this time, if Lilly was seeing Ellen, it's probably the first time we *didn't* see a person's view of a "ghost". Could this also imply Lilly is dying?? Nah. The chances of that happening is rather slim.

this was one of the saddest episodes. so much tragedy from separate situations converged into one. im lost for words.

Unless she's leaving the show. Isn't that why they brought Kat in? I'm upset they killed Ellen off. But they don't have long story arcs. That was sad how that all came down. ...Why did she say at the end' Mom' during the surgery?...Why was Lilly awake during the surgery and not put under... Ahh... LII, you should like this (and the other shippers). They got some Scotty in there with Lilly. Setup for something to come?

Unless she's leaving the show. Isn't that why they brought Kat in? Oh, I really doubt that's happening! Personally, I kinda felt they brought Kat in because they needed someone SANE on the team. *boxman ducks* Yeah, I'm a bit disappointed with such a fast ending for Ellen too. In terms of the storyline, it's also sad that Ellen died without knowing the whereabouts of her other daughter too. LII, you should like this (and the other shippers). They got some Scotty in there with Lilly. Setup for something to come? he he he... Scotty scored points with two women tonight! Hot Latin lover, that guy.

I like how Scotty held Lilly in his arms, before the paramedics arrived. boxman- I doubt that Lilly is dying, maybe she wanted her mother to be with her and wanted one last chance to say goodbye.

And stupid CBS still isn't coming in. I can't say I'm all that shocked by Ellen dying, or Lilly being shot though.

Hey boxman, the writers seem to have knack at cutting things abruptly. However I wasn't expecting Ellen just up and dead. Actually I thought when Lilly touched her mom's hand before leaving that it had more to do with Lilly possibly getting shot. I thought Ellen would be dealing with Lilly next season. So---that was a surprise. At least they had me guessing. I'm all for that. Now is Lilly calling mom because she's dying? Or is Lilly just calling mom because her mom's dead? Unless she's leaving the show. Isn't that why they brought Kat in? Oh, I really doubt that's happening! I'm not surprised either. We had a list going and that was on the list for Lilly to get shot. (not to die though) And stupid CBS still isn't coming in. I can't say I'm all that shocked by Ellen dying, or Lilly being shot though.

hey! I know I rarely post here but I just saw the finale and loved it so I wanted to see how everyone else thought that episode was. I think it was one of their best this season and it has to do with the fact that it dealt with Lilly's personal life more. The stalker storyline has been done lots of times on shows but I didn't feel like they had exhausted the plot at all on CC. It was creepy and really kept my interest til the end.
In addition, (warning: ShipperAlert!) I know many of you aren't fans of the Lilly/Scotty relationship but even you guys have to admit that what we got tonight was very cute. His voice all emotional like that when she was shot. Aw. And I was loving the part of the song that was playing while he was waiting outside of her hospital room. "You have stolen my heart." Gotta find me that song. "If you need me just say hey- I'll be there." sigh. This is gonna be a long summer. I feel a fanfic comin on.

Naj- Sometime when you're in pain, like Lilly is going through all you need is your mother. in Lilly's case she wanted hers ; thus why she was calling out for her. Wanting her comfort like before Ellen died as they were talking about the book ' THe Velveteen Rabbit' that always brought Lilly comfort. The hand holding btwn them was symbolic in the way of Ellen saying ' I'm always here for you'

In NDE--Near Death Experiences--it's common for people who are going through clinical death to see visions of love ones who have passed on. I thought that was one implication of why Lilly said "Ellen" and we didn't see Ellen's "ghost".

Hi lsr, Yes, I noticed that. Was wondering if something more is going to happen next season. Or if it was just a moment for the shippers. If, it was just for shippers---it was good. Scotty saving Lilly, Scotty checking on Lilly about her mom....

Sorry about the double posting but the interrogation room is symbolic for Scotty and Lilly. They first met outside the room

Even though I didn't watch the episode, I can attempt a speculation at why Lilly calls out for her mom. I don't think it has to do with Lilly dying, or going to die, I think it's because whenever we're hurt the first person we call out for is our mother. So Lilly gets severely injured, and naturally she calls out for her mother.
I mean naturally, as in the natural instincts of a child. Not, naturally for Lilly.
