Maybe George has a split personality and that is why he was saying "he". I'm just guessing here but it did look like he "changed" into someone else when Lily was leaving the interrogation room. In some ways he reminded me of the character in "Identity" but not as extreme as the one in the movie.
I think Lily reached out to her sister because of what was going on and what happened to her or her family. Scotty said something to the effect of walking with her and she said she had something to do. This was at the time when no one knew who the killer was and, at that time, didn't know what the connection was between the victims. Remember, the killer was unknown and the victims were all women who disappeared in November, which it was at the time. So knowing this Lily wanted to protect her sister since she was out there by herself. So this case in some ways brought them together. Now let's see where this goes.
I think I know why they didn't find anything to link George to the murders....they didn't have the "CSI" team from Vegas doing the work. LOL Just had to throw that in there. ;D

Maybe we should anticipate a Cold case/CSI crossover. ;D ;D
TrubluCCfan, I cannot agree with you more on everything you said in your post!

TruBlu - I'm going to agree with misguided freak and say that I loved your post. Everything you said was so true, and it was exactly how I felt about the ep as well. Tracylynn - I loved your CSI reference! Too funny! foujylos.notlong.com [/IMG] zschweeb - Here's what happened after Lilly tried to leave and George yelled at her to stay: George yelled, "don't you walk away from me." Lilly stopped, and he said something about not being a little man out there (referencing Lilly's remark that he was a small little man). Lilly asked him where, out in the woods, but George wouldn't answer. She asked him who he was out there, and George mumbled that "he is God." It showed a flashback of the first victim (Janet) begging the killer not to shoot her because she didn't want to break another promise to her daughter. George then decided that it was time for him to leave, so he got up from the table. Lilly was quite flustered b/c she hadn't cracked him yet, so she told him that they weren't done and that he needed to sit down. He insisted that they were done, and started to walk out. Lilly told him that she'd be watching him. George told her that he would be traveling to see the country, and then he asked her if she ever hunted. Lilly said no, and George suggested that they could go sometime, together. Then, he turned and waved at the others through the glass and turned and walked out through the police station. As he did this, everyone turned and looked in shock. The closing montage showed Jeffries and Vera having a drink together at a bar, Stillman was sitting in his office, Scotty sat alone in the interrogation room, and Lilly stared at the pictures of all the victims. The last scene showed Lilly watching her sister as she slept on her daybed with the cats. Lilly then laid down next to her. If I left anything important out, please feel free to correct it guys.

I loved this episode. It was something new, but it didn't seem gimmicky. It flowed, like it always does. Also, it was very creepy. I am still kind of looking over my shoulder. A+++ all around. I hope the killer comes back. He could bring the creep.

Good ears V. I just re-watched that scene and I heard it also but missed it the first time. Ditto! You guys are hardcore in here! I am so glad I joined. I wonder if, and this is a big if, Lilly let her sister stay over because at some point she was attacked and fought back? Because once it was disclosed that the killer went after women who fought back, there was Lilly showing up at that dive bar.

So I finally got to watch the episode and it was so freaking good! I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. The episode was just so different, especially with camera effects, it reminded me a lot of the original CSI which is good since that's also one of my favorite shows.

You guys are hardcore in here! That we are Welcome to the board. I wonder if, and this is a big if, Lilly let her sister stay over because at some point she was attacked and fought back? Because once it was disclosed that the killer went after women who fought back, there was Lilly showing up at that dive bar. That is an interesting idea smapdi. But I think Lilly just realized it was November and that's when these murders take place and her conscience just got the better of her and she decided she can still be angry at Christina if she let her stay at her house. At least Lilly would know where she was and she could keep an eye on her.

I agree with you, Ryebeach. Plus Chris is family, not matter how strained the relationship is. Lilly does not want anything to happen to her sister. Isn't she the only family that she has at the moment?

I haven't read the whole thread as I just finally watched my tape of this ep. What can I say but John Billingsley was something out of a Stephen King novel. And what was he inferring to know about Lilly? Anyone catch that?
I guess when we were talking this summer up in the General forum one request was to have a crime not solved. This must be it. I'm hoping this character gets revisited and what about the offer for Lilly to go hunting with him? Do you think he is going to go after her in some episode?
I was more surprised that the detectives didn't approach this guy in a informal setting outside the interrogation room in their attempts to learn information. I wouldn't have approacehed it the way they did because it made it look like they were considering him a suspect. That was the weakest part of the storyline imo.

You know, this ep left the possibility open that George would return in future ep(s). If he did return, do you think the interrogation scene between Lilly and George set up a future "hunting trip" involving these two characters? If so, what would Lilly do?
Lilly was the only one to shake George a bit. With the other detectives, George maintained control of the interviews. Lilly was able to turn the tables on him when she brought up his failed exams and his mother's murder. I wonder if this led George to see her as a "fighter." Maybe even the ultimate fighter. If George did return and target Lilly, I think she wouldn't play his game. She knows that his whole sick game involves hunting the women. What would he do, if she just refused to run? What if she just told him to shoot her there, and get it over with? George is a fascinating character and I would love for the show to explore his storyline in the future.

I'm thinking George is going to return and catch Lily alone some day maybe while she is walking in the woods or something where he can get her to the woods. Or maybe they will have him being watched and new information will develop and he will be brought back to Philly! I don't know but I hope they are considering something. Maybe we don't know everything about George. Maybe he's been stalking Lily for some time... ~Naj

Here's my first post. Thanks for a good read for a while, now it's time to jump in at the deep end.
My take on this episode is the same as has been mentioned - a cliff hanger with lots of open ends.
I'm thinking about the lost heads and the taxidermist eyes - the followup will probably begin with the heads being found, nicely stuffed and with deer eyes (looking at the stars?)
Lily will probably have to chase him - and then the tables are turned (or are they ... who knows with such a devious guy).
Anyway - can't wait for the followup!

Welcome to the board NMB :welcome:
Nearly all of the members here want George to return and I'm sure he will but probably not this season.

Welcome NMB! That would be a pretty gruesome image. How would you stuff skulls though? Do you think that George preserved their heads?

Yay! I finally got to watch "Mind Hunters". It's really weird having to see the episodes so much later than the rest of you... I have to make a real effort to keep from prying into the episode discussions.
Anyway, the episode was really good. I knew who the killer was (because I read the thread, erf), but anyway I think I would have guessed. Even so, the storyline was pretty solid, the lines were good, and I like the fact that he walked. Not only is it realistic, but it leaves an opening for a continuation.
Oh, and some of you were writing fanfics about this episode, but then you kind of stopped. Please go on!
