Ok, this was part of my New Year's Resolution: write fanfiction. So now I have, and since I've been poking around everyone else's, I feel it's only fair to share it with you guys.

A couple of things first:

1. English isn't my native language so if you catch any spelling or grammar mistakes, don't be afraid to point them out. It really helps, and if you native speakers don't correct me, no one will.

2. I thought it better to post the link than the story itself since the language gets somewhat R-ish at times.

3. I'm a slow updater ... so please, be patient.

cool story! it sounded just like the characters talking, as for english not being your 1st language- its alot better than some of the guys in my class and english is their first and only language ;D, in fact, it was perfect as far as i could see ;D :smile49:

Disasterfreak - You can't leave us hanging like this! Seriously, I'm dying to know what happens next. Interesting twist with Mr. Bailey being a "cutter." It's something I usually associate with girls, so I liked the fact that you stepped outside the box on this one. Great scene with Scotty and Dr. Swanson. You are definitely keeping me guessing! Another fabulous chapter disasterfreak!! I loved this line:

They stepped forward only when they were so desperate they’d risk anything to avoid getting caught… including getting caught. It was the great criminal paradox.

Because it's so true and you've put it into words so nicely. I'm dying to know who this mystery woman is who showed up at the good doctor's house around the time of the twins deaths. Very interesting twist, Disasterfreak! Great use of language - I can picture everything vividly!

Thanks so much, rudaxf and TV Fan! As I said before, I totally lost objectivity with this chapter, I really couldn't tell anymore if it made any sense or not. TV Fan, I'm really glad you liked that part, it was something that had been on my mind for quite some time now... what makes people give themselves away? Except for the ones who want to be caught, like George (cuz it's all a game to him), it's wanting so bad not to be caught that leads them to make mistakes.

At least, that's the way it looks on TV. And it's probably what would happen to me if I ever tried to cover up something. LOL. Good thing I don't try, I just blab everything out, good or bad :smile26:

It does seem that a lot of criminals (TV world or otherwise) tend to make their biggest mistakes when they're trying not to get caught. I heard a true story recently where a man robbed a gas station, but left his wallet there when it dropped out of his pants. He gets on the road and realizes that the cops will be able to trace him through his ID in his wallet, so he turns around. He pulls up to the station, walks in and the cops immediately arrest him. They had already responded to the scene and found the wallet, so when he walked in, they recognized him! He was trying so hard to not get caught that he got caught!

I really appreciate your reviews, TV Fan. ;D I love it when people take the time to point out what they've liked, but also if they point out what they didn't like--or what didn't seem believable. Please feel free to do so, but don't anyone feel offended if I respond. It's not a personal vendetta or anything and I mean it the kindest way possible.
