Alright, resurrecting this, because I noticed something rather...bizarre. There's that one part where Lilly starts to follow a guy that looks like her father (from behind); the image shifts, and it's now Lilly from 15 years ago - after what I can only assume is her graduation ceremony. The guy then stops in front of a young man, and another woman. That woman being Celeste, Lilly's step mom. This is strange, because we were lead to believe that Lilly never even saw Celeste until season 7 (The Good Soldier) Only two things could account for this. Either Lilly found a picture of Celeste prior to this episode, and that seeped into the dream; or else Lilly, for an episode became the dehydrated oracle/instant prophet, just add water. tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/DehydratedOracleOddly enough, the young man looks nothing like Finn.

Excellent episode.
Got a question though, why is Finn in the Philadelphia PD? Or is this something like Lilly is seeing a guy who looks like her dad and chasing him?
I noticed too, the actor who played Stillman, he had no hair then John has hair. Just thought that was interesting.
I didn't think she was hallucinating but some parts of the episode didn't make sense. But I guess she dreamed the whole episode...
Edit: Forgot something else.. Seems they forgot to make sure that Stillman and Lilly didn't say East when talking about where she would start as a detective.

This episode is wonderful. I still kind of wish it had been the finale- it makes a much better finale episode than Shattered. Then again, we wouldn't have had Season Seven.
I loved the case- Kate Butler was an inspiring victim, tough and strong. I thought her parents were really well played. I wish they hadn't bought her dad back in Season Seven, because I thought he got a good ending here.
If I have one quibble, it seems that the murder came out of nowhere and seemed really stilted. It was one of those heat of the moment killings, which I don't really like. I much prefer it when the murder has some forethought.
The ending montage remains my favourite out of all the episodes- and that's a huge feat. Absolutely loved Paul in this episode and his letter was wonderful. The shot of him and Lilly at the end? Perfection.

In the bullpen, after Nick Vera says " you know being soft, dull and friendless is no way to go through college," he looks at Lilly almost knowingly. Later on in the episode James Addison says " there is no way you can make it through that school with no friends," as Lilly is leaning against the interregation room wall. Most of the episode was a symbol of Lilly's life, her past. Am I right in assuming this is how she was or am I thinking to much?
