When Cooper went to see Lil at work, after hearing what happened. I think he wanted more than just an "Okay", after telling her that he just wanted to see her face. At least he didn't push, that's good. But she still does not think about him as a father 100%. She said something like "He doesn't even know the same happened to me"

I think Lilly loves him, but she's still getting used to having him around again. Perhaps she never had parent that truely cared; Ellen would never just drop by to make sure that she's alright.

Or maybe she still has that feeling that he abbandoned her and for what we know he didn't really care about her... Sent her a bike... Ok so why They have to live on welfare? Couldn't he even try to help?

He does care about her Eduardo, I see it in his eyes. Clearly Lilly doesn't hate or resent him, perhaps well find out the rest of the story. In this episode, Cooper does display a sense of love for his daughter. She knows that, but I don't think she thought that he abdonded her. Her anger is more directed at her mother.

I know he cares now but he didn't even send money or child support so Lilly didn't have to eat thanks to welfare. Do you remember "Fly away"(1x08) when Lilly said once that she didn't eat because her mom forgot the post stamps? Sad... Lilly can't forget that

We don't know the whole story, but I'm intrieged to see more of this Lilly/ Cooper backstory.. getting back to the case I did enjoy this episode a lot. Had a lot of dramatic Irony to it. All Around this episode was different and unique

All Around this episode was different and unique This episode and "Lotto Fever" stated there's an ongoing crime problem in Philadelhia. On the other a witness said "slow night in Killadelhpia" How Philly people would react? IDK, I think they shouldn't say that that much

That was a great episode!! I loved how Stillman asked what happened and Nick said he had to drink all the milk.
I don't like that Dougherty, he already sounds like a bad cop or dirty for that matter.
I liked that Cooper came to make sure Lilly wasn't the one hurt but loved how Scotty was shocked that was her father.
Loved the ending where Nick is asleep in the room with Will.

:)This is a :)great episode, one of my favorites.!!!! I loved the music at the end of the episode. I loved the last scene, Lilly in the interrogation room holding her father's medallion...I've never seen Lilly crying before, and I loved to see the other side of Lilly, not just the strong cop, but the soft and vulnerable side of her. " Great episode"

After watching this episode, I have a new thought about why Lilly broke down in that room. First of all, lack of sleep (I'm going to guess she was up for about 25 hours straight) add that with the stress of Jeffries being shot, and trying to find the shooter. Now add in the fact that her own beast/shadow had awakened, and she was obviously disgusted by it.
She told Gabriel, a 12 year old boy, that she flat out wanted to kill him. Let's recall that this is the first time that Lilly's ever flat out told a suspect she wanted to kill them, while pointing a gun at them. Now some of you may say that she was doing her whole chameleon act, but if that were so, why cry at the end?
I believe that it's because when everything was said, and done, Lilly realized what she had said, and probably saw herself as becoming like some of the more horrible people she's put away, a monster. This is also why she takes hold of the St. Jude medallion, and looks at it. He is the patron saint of lost causes, and I bet that Lilly herself was feeling like a lost cause.
Yet another theory too is that she was grieving over Gabriel. Sounds odd, I know, but here's a kid who lost his brother, and threw away his life, because he wanted to please Francisco. She could have in fact been crying over him; but I like my first idea better.

This is a fantastic episode. I especially liked how they showed how distressed Vera was. I like how in the end montage, Will turns around and sees Nick asleep on the chair. So sweet . I like how the team really cared for each other.
