I also believe that people are born gay, i don't think you just become that later on. Why does this all matter, if a person is gay or straight. People should be allowed to marry whomever they want..

I think she's gone too far with what she had said, people are entitled to their own opinions. We need to accept that gays should be allowed to get married like like straight people can, that it isn't a sin for them them be the way that they are.
If you love something, you should be able to marry and be with the person without being blocked from doing so. I'm a very tolerant person and this post isn't mean to offend anyone. I just don't understand why there are laws to prevent gays from marrying, I'm straight but I think real problem is that people need to stop being so biased about someone being gay or not.
You can't hate someone for being gay, hatered is a big thing now a days and before. We need to accept worldwide that Gay marriages are alright.
I know people might not like this, but not once am I bashing any one's views religious or not. I'm not one to do that, just voicing my own opinion here.

Had anyone else heard and/or watched what Miss California said lately? OMG. Can really anyone wish this woman to represent anything? It's getting so sad, it hurts.

If I have to fathom a guess it's probably something along the lines of.
"Being homosexual is evil and homosexuals are delusional. Women should be submissive to men, tee hee! I think Fred Phelps is right!"
Oh no! It's worse. The woman gets breast implants and poses semi-nude? Hey, look, I'm all fine with that but she seriously shouldn't be going around judging people's sexual orientation

But wouldn't a christian believe that if God wanted a person to have larger breasts they would have been born with them? And isn't nudity in the manner of posing for money considered as sinful? evil? shameful?

I care little about those pics, seeing the bikini walk she did in the pageant, what were they complaining about? More or less that she didn't heed the contract, which means, she didn't do it exclusively for the Miss company. That was a stupid move. Hey, and why hide what G has given her. *coughs* Anyway. A bit of the press conference hereExercised her freedom of speech and was "punished" for doing so? What? Is the government of the US now banning to tell, you don't want gay marriage? Is she in jail or under house arrest? That would be totally new to me. She was asked a question, she spluttered an answer and was critized for what she said. Typical to confuse that with being hindered to exercise freedom of speech.

Here's my response to Carrie's you tube whiny diatribe.
Miss Prejean, Let me say to you "what shouldn't happen in America". What shouldn't happen in America is to take a freedom of each individual as to who they wish to have a romantic relationship and lobby against it/their rights to choice . That is cruel and hateful. You are hurting them deep in their soul just like you are feeling for your own freedom to say what you think.
I don't understand why you are crying. You have the freedom to have the romantic partner of your choice. Do you see any gay people trying to take your belief away by mounting a cause to prevent you from doing so? This is what shouldn't happen in America. And this is exactly what you are doing - mounting a cause.
Someone help me out here. President Bush (Jr) did just that on many occasion not allowing people to assemble.

I personally wish that her crown as removed she has offended a lot of people, I can't stand hearing about her anymore.

They let her keep it. Or perhaps more precise: Donald Trump let her keep the crown. He owns the pageant, he is the king.

I don't think she deserves to even keep her crown, after all the stuff she had said.

It's a beauty peagent. They like stupid people exactly, at least they should have gotten someone else that was smart and wouldn't be offensive.

I'm not going to read through 7 pages of arguing however, I think everyone is entitled to their opinion and some people are getting carried away, it's not as though she said all gays should be exterminated or something like that. Unfortunately, some people spend their whole lives nit picking about everything which is something in the world which sh1ts me to no end. Whilst this issue may be a contentious one, nothing that she said was incredibally bad, as far as I'm concerned it was an opinion, which obviously not everyone will agree with.
And on another note, it is also moronic to generalise all christians, based on this girls opinion. It's like saying all muslims are terrorists. It's just plain dumb.

This is a second reminder now; in order for this conversation to continue, we need to be civil towards each other and respect that everyone has their own opinions. Personal attacks toward other members or their opinions will not be tolerated. I would very much like for this discussion to continue, but if it cannot peacefully, then I will have to lock the thread. I would like to avoid that.

Oh no! Carrie is on Larry King right now! I will post more later this weekend! It never ends!!!!! eta: on the recap of her answer she says "That's how I was raised" meaning that a marriage is between a man and a woman. I was raised in a family that yells and screams and fights and is dysfuntional. And your point, Ms. Prejean, is what? You can go here and comment: Post your comment to tonight's show
