I can only hope you two are extremely happy together. Ok look what I just found on a beautiful website called " PerfectCase.Net" - just for the record, I do NOT own these photos nor am I linking to the site, I just wanted the shippers (...ahem and the non-shippers) to see these. Just wrote another story, but Its told strickly from Lilly and Scotty's minds about their own intrepatations of friendship which leads into love. Both sides see things differently but I felt we should see what they both are thinking inside.

Oohh...  ...well it wasn't my intention but if they are stealing...  I don't like it when people steal. Anyway, I love that Photoshoot! *shipper sigh* LOL You know, I was going through my tape the other day in search of a scene and ended up watching the beginning of "The Road" again. I know we've talked about this to death but I was thinking (yes again) that there may be another small indication that Scotty is getting tired of Lil sweeping her problems under the rug and not admitting she needs him. Bear with me because it's very possible that I'm reading too much into it. Right after Stillman leaves with the fiance, Scotty gives Lilly a look and walks to his desk...but doesn't say anything. ALMOST as if he wanted her to ask for his help by remaining silent knowing that she did need it but has a hard time actually vocalizing it (because I think it was already decided for him in his own mind that he was going to go with her the instant she volunteered in the first place) We already analyzed the rest where she shoots his attempt to talk down but as to the first part there.....basically, again.. it's progress of what could be to come next season illustrating that he is getting fed up with dancing their little dance. I know it's such a minute detail that it probably won't matter to most, but seeing that I'm as obsessed a shipper as they come - this is what I doooooo lmao. (and heck I've analyzed far less than this in my fandoms  ) |

Acutally The Road is mentioned a lot in my story especially from their POV's. I think there was a lot going on inside of their heads about each other, they both are still failing to realize how much they both don't have a social life or the fact they find someone to be with for a little while knowing the loneliness is still there.
They can't escape the loneliness but I think they need to start and hang out. They don't really know each other outside of work, who they are in real life. Lilly knows virtually nothing about Scotty who he is outside of being a detective and vice versa. They a pretty much strangers about that but never take the time to find out a little more about them, what their music tastes are , interests. etc..

I can't comment on the images KathrynFan is referring to because I'm not sure which ones they are, but the Death Of A Cheerleader / A Friend To Die For caps on that site are the ones I did and posted on this board. That aside the site does have some good episode stills from the past couple of seasons. |

Wow, I had no idea about the issues with that site. Unfortunate that they didn't first ask permission because I do think it is a lovely shipper site for L&S - that I would love to spread word about to other shippers. Could it be perhaps they were unaware of policies about certain media...?
Also, just wondering but I heard that the show has been renewed for season 6 (of course, and thank GOD) but do we know anything about future seasons after that? Or is this a year to year decision based on ratings? And what about the actors contracts? I guess this isn't the best place to be asking but just so you know, it is a Scotty/Lilly-related question as I am trying to determine timeline here ..hehehhehe ;D

You'll have to forgive my snail-like pace at getting to them. I like to devote my full and undivided attention to fics and I just haven't the time to do that at the moment.  Well, I agree in a sense but I actually believe they already know each other through and through - just not in a "let's go see a movie together" kinda way, rather in the [more important, imo] "I understand who you are and love you for it" way. I think the other things could come with time spent together later. (As nice as it would be to see them having fun together, I just don't think CC is prone to that sort of story-telling....which ultimately I can live without if the story I believe they are telling develops) |

Sure they respect and care for each other but do they even know what their interests in ( movies, music etc) What they both like to do for fun if they do anything that is important, but what if Lilly and Scotty face the facts about themselves that the only relationship that has remained strong is their friendship.
I think they need to at least hang out ( share stories etc) without working getting in the way. Not saying it has to land up with the two rushing into love, they need time before that happens. Scotty needs to open up about his feelings for her but I think he's afraid to tell Lilly about that but in retrospect I personally think Lilly already knows that he loves her

Oh I'm not arguing that they know very little about those details but whereas perhaps most normal relationships BEGIN with those things, L&S are anything but normal and have essentially reversed the process by, in my opinion, loving each other wholly first (for all the reasons I believe we agree on) and are now left to a) realize it (by admitting it to each other) and b) discover that 'other' level of actually being together in a relationship. Oh dear God that was one very long sentence LMAO. As do I  But not nearly in a way that she is ready to admit. Any time she perceives that feeling from him, she freaks and runs. Just one of the reasons why this show is so well-written because she is doing to him (someone important) what she's afraid people will do to her (running from her). |

In my new fic, I'm writing how Lilly and Scotty inteprete each date starting from friendship in their own POV'S. Each one of them thinks so differently about each other which adds to the comedy and relationship

If only that photoshoot was really Lilly and Scotty. On the show they could show Scotty admitting he doesn't know how to cook but show him burning some food, seeing Lilly's react as he tries to cook something for her but admits it. Could see her teasing him or Scotty realizing he's burnt it and orders in some food in order to impress Lilly.
Btw-my lastest fic I wrote in the context from inside of their heads. We see how they interept their relationship,but deal with how they feel abotut each other
