yeah we don't know too much about him and how Lilly was treated by him, so it's hard to tell what kind of reaction she might have...?  |

Or maybe, she knows who he is and all...and keeps tabs on him...but never has any direct contact with him.

Maybe Lilly will talk about her father in season 4. I'd like to know a little more about him and have her reconcile whatever it is she needs to. As far as her actual father making an appearance (I don't remember if he is living or not), I'd be open to it.

As far as her actual father making an appearance (I don't remember if he is living or not), I'd be open to it. yeah I agree Naj...we found out a little about her mom in the past three seasons, and now we have officially seen her, so maybe it's time for another family member to surprise us, we have already seen Christina, so who else is left?? lol ;D |

How do you know if he would remember how his life was with Little Lilly. Maybe b/c of Ellen it wasn't. For all we know he could have forgotton that part of his life.

It would be kind of great if they did it as a kind of flashback... Like, she sees this man walking towards her, and he's maybe her age, then someone walks in front of him and he turns into an old man. That would be awesome. I know they usually only use these flashbacks for cases, but it would just pack so much more of an emotional punch; she hasn't seen him since then.
I want him to come back, tell her he's proud of her. Then she can get out those pictures she has of him again, snuggle back with Joseph and their 3 cat family and smile. Then again, she does do tortured soul well; do we really want her to start getting comfy and being happy?

Here's another of mine
A man walks toward Lilly's desk, it's flash from a little girl to the present day Lilly. After telling her about the case, he states he's her father.

Hey, that would be brilliant as well! I do love seeing little lilly (even though she isn't as blonde as I imagined). Okay, so this is getting really far reaching, but what if he tells her about a man's death, who turns out to be the guy who attacked her when she was a kid. Turns out her father lived in the area, heard a guy bragging about doing some blonde girl in a pub, saw Lil at school (cos Ellen won't let him near her so he has to watch from afar) with a swollen face, etc. Figured things out (Lil has to get the smarts from somewhere) and kills the guy, or goes to, but he's already dead. now he wants to congratulate the person who killed him, but he wants to know who that is. wants to reconnect with lil too, he's just gotten out of AA or something. So this would be a great fanfic plot... I might keep it in mind lol. It's never going to happen on the show though! But imagine the Lil backstory that could be filled in if it did!

She reopens a case , but one of the suspects is in the hospital. Lilly goes there and the man lying there dying, he says he is her father. He then goes on to tell her that he always loved her, but he says he knows nothing about the crime. As he dies he says " I love you" to her as Joseph holds her tigtly as she cries

Aww, that sounds great! It would seriously mess her up; I like the idea of Joseph being there tho lol.
