I know we were discussing the fact that we often hear songs on the radio and think that they would make great Cold Case songs. Anyone have any they want to share? One song that always strikes me as a perfect CC song is Bruce Hornsby's "The Way it is." I think it would work well as an ending song. Anyone else have any ideas?

I think "Wild World" by Cat Stevens. lyrics here: www.stlyrics.com/lyrics/howtodeal/wildworld.htmNo special reason, but for me it totally sounds like a CC ending song. I thought about other songs, but I can't remember them right now. I'll post as I remember.

How about since KM, in real life, lives close the the band "Garbage" they could slip a song or two from them.
If they reopen a five year old case they could play "Special".
Scroll down to the section to listen to samples.

I like your idea of "The Way it is" by Bruce Hornsby and the Range Naj........
I have always thought that "The Best Was Yet To Come" by Bryan Adams would be a good closing song.
"Fire and Rain" by James Taylor might also work.

Good one TV Fan.
I was thinking "Landslide" either the Dixie Chicks version or the original by Stevie Nicks.

That's too funny Panhandler b/c I heard that song (the Stevie Nicks version) the other day, and I instantly thought it would make a great CC song. Too funny! ;D

Yes! It's a great song and it would be perfect. I would love to hear a Bon Jovi song, just because I love them.

I was thinking about this, and i think a good song that could be used, is 'my immortal' by evanescence. they would have to be carefull about the case that they used it in though, as the lyrics are very speciffic.

my immortal would be nice ending song i think too. but it was already used in the movie dare devil.
mad world by gary jules would also be a nice song to place at the end of an episode. but this one was used in donnie darko and as an ending song in smallville.

Gary Jules' cover of "Mad World" also figured at the close of a "Without a Trace" episode (in season two, I think, but I'm not a regular viewer).

just thought about another songs:
"Beautiful" by Christina Aguilera
"Through the rain" by Mariah Carey
"Against All Odds (Take a Look at Me Now)" - by Mariah Carey or Phill Collins (I like both versions)
Like Dina, I would like to hear something from Bon Jovi; and also from Alanis Morissette.

I don't know about that Bon Jovi (??), but perhaps Alanis Morrisette.
I think "Surrounded" by Chantal Kreviazuk would work well as a CC song.

Well, I would have to agree with having a Bon Jovi song on there such as "Livin' On A Prayer". But, I will also have to add my favorite group to the list and that's Chicago. There's too many songs to name but a few would be "Hard Habit To Break", "If You Leave Me Now" or "Searchin' So Long". Of course, a lot depends on the storyline and scene.

25or6to4 - I have to agree with Chicago. Great choice!
Also, I would like to add "Crash into Me" by the Dave Matthews Band. It came out mid to late 90s, so if they do some more eps from that time period that would be my pick.

I think "Bittersweet Symphony," by The Verve would be a perfect closing song. It would work well with the slow motion CC uses. Lyrics would go well also.
This song was used for the final scenes of "Cruel Intentions" and I've loved the song ever since.

I remember commenting on this song. It was out the year Sonny Bono died and the lead singer sounds like Sonny. I do like the song. If they ever do another gay theme at the bar/dance disco I'd like to hear Erasure "Always". Such a beautiful song.
