Dear Ryebeach, Hey, bud! Thanks so much for looking into those songs, I was glad to provide the titles and the artist. So, was listening to those snippets a flashback for you? I hope so. I'm glad that you remembered them, and that you are fond of them as well. Are you going to look for Gerry's greatest hits now? Do you think they would be good songs for Cold Case? I can see situations where they would be handy. I like to imagine situations like that myself: where would this song come in handy on Cold Case? Would it fit? Just something I like to do. Yep, I think I may check out Gerry's greatest hits. Seems like a good CD to have. I'm thinking they would be good CC songs, especially "Baker Street," which I could see as an opening song. And I'm always thinking when I hear songs on the radio if that particular song would be a good CC fit.

Dear Ryebeach, Hey, bud! Thanks so much for getting back with me on this. I'm glad that you will be looking for Gerry's greatest hits, and I hope you find a good cd with those three songs on it. Please let me know how that goes! Thanks for the backup as well on my thoughts on the songs. I have always been a fan of "Baker Street", and I think it would be an excellent opening song as well. (aside: I wonder if there is a Baker Street in Philadelphia? ) Also glad to hear that I am not the only person who listens to songs and wonders if they would be a good fit for Cold Case. I like to think, and I'm glad that someone else feels the same way - thanks, Ryebeach. Take care, have a great day and a rocking rest of the weekend, Ryebeach. I'll see you later!

Good evening everyone, Hey, this is the Byrdman coming at you tonight! I hope that everyone is doing well, and that your week is rocking and rolling just as mine is! I LOVE this thread! I was listening to some music this past weekend that inspired me to think some more about this topic. There are some more songs that I think would be a good fit for the show: "Touch of Grey" by the Grateful Dead "End of the Line" by Traveling Wilburys "West End Girls" by Pet Shop Boys "Got My Mind Set On You" by George Harrison "It Don't Come Easy" by Ringo Starr "Don't You (Forget About Me)" by Simple Minds Just some ideas I had, thanks for your attention, boys and girls! Oh, Ryebeach: did you get Gerry Rafferty's greatest hits? I heard "Baker Street" again today, I was just thinking about our convo the other day.

Hey Byrdman - I did check Best Buy and they didn't have any of Gerry Rafferty's greatest hits CD's in stock. I'll check a few other stores before I try to order it off line. Great song choices and this is funny but I heard "Don't you (Forget about Me) on my drive home tonight! LOL ;D

Good evening everyone, Hey, this is the Byrdman coming back to one of my favorite threads. I heard some more good songs todaythat I thought would be a good match: "I Ran" by A Flock of Seagulls "Jumpin Jack Flash" by The Rolling Stones "Start Me Up" by The Rolling Stones "Don't Dream It's Over" by The Crowded House Also, Ryebeach, thanks for getting back, bud. I'm sorry Best Buy did not have Gerry's greatest hits. Hopefully you can find it somewhere. Please keep me informed on your progress. Thanks. Also, very cool that you heard "Don't You (Forget About Me)." Do you like that song? can just see it on the beginning of a Cold Case episode. Take care, and have a great night, everyone!

I was listening to the radio today, and this one sounded good for CC: "I Believe I Can Fly" (R. Kelly).

Good evening everyone, Hello, this is the Byrdman. How are you all tonight, boys and girls? I hope you are rocking and rolling, just as I am! Hey, I heard another classic Who song today that might be a good match for CC: "Squeeze Box"! "Momma's got a squeezebox she wears on her chest, but when Daddy comes home he never gets no rest!" Ha! I also heard a couple of Jefferson Airplane songs too: "Somebody To Love" and "Volunteers of America" - "Start a revolution, start a revolution!" Also, I think "All the Young Dudes" by Mott the Hoople would be a good fit as well. Thanks for your attention, take care and have a great night, boys and girls!

Dear Soccerulz, Hey, girl! Thanks so much for your kind thoughts on my picks, I'm glad that you have heard of them (sorry, I'm in a 60s mode today . Also, I totally agree with you on the music, Soccerulz. Those songs make those eps for me. Two of my favorites are "Disco Inferno" and "Revolution." Just because both of them have such great songs in them. Just rocking, girl! Yes, keep those high hopes, girl. I am sure that season 3 will not disappoint us! Take care, and have a great night, girl!

Hi again Byrdman,
So you're in a 60's mode today? Haha, that's ironic, so am I! I've been blasting my parents music from the 60's all day. I've got to agree with you about the episodes "Disco Inferno" and "Revolution", they both had some awesome music. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we'll have a few (if not more! hehe) episodes with some really awesome, unique music in them.
Haha, it doesn't take much to make me happy. Just a perfect story line, animated, versatile characters and of course, awesome music.
Is that too much to ask?? Haha.
I'm getting greedy in my old age!

Dear Soccerulz, Hey, girl! Thanks so much for getting back so quickly on this, and you're a 60s girl today too, huh? Groovy! (ha!) So, are you a Beatles girl, Soccerulz? What music did your parents listen to in the 60s? My Daddy was a huge British invasion fan - The Who, Elton John, The Lovin Spoonful, The Rolling Stones, Gerry and the Pacemakers, and of course The Beatles! Also, thanks for your agreement in my choice of eps and their music as well, girl. Yes, you have the right idea when it comes to what you ask for in an episode. Although, being a guy, I have to get a little KM in there too, you know? Also, you are not old, Soccerulz. Very, very young girl you are. Sorry, I sound like Yoda now, don't I? In any case, I'm glad that we are in agreement that the 60s rock, and let's hope we get tosee some more eps from that decade in this upcoming season! Take care, and please have a great night and sweet dreams, girl!

Hi Byrdman! Haha, yup, I'm a Beatles girl. My mom was a big British Invasion lover as well, so I've grown up on The Who, The Rolling Stones, The Lovin Spoon, and the Beatles! Haha, thanks for not thinking I'm too greedy with what I want in an episode ;D. And, of course, how could I forget a bunch of KM?? So yes, we are certainly in agreement about 60's rock. Or, any rock actually (haha) I can spout off tons of stuff from each decade. Well, 6 days now!! Woo-Hoo!

Dear Soccerulz, Hey, girl! Thanks so much for getting back on this, and I am truly sorry it has taken me so long to respond to you, girl. Thanks for your patience. Yes, your mom seems like a smart girl, just like you are. I am glad you were brought up in the ways of the British Invasion, just as I was. Also, very cool that you are a Beatles girl as well, Soccerulz. Yes, you are not greedy, girl. That is what everyone hopes from their favorite show on a basic level, I think. Also, I can understand why you might not think of KM. Maybe it's the guy in me showing, you think? In any case, I'm glad that you agree with me. Yes, my Daddy has told me many times that today's acts, and the 70s and the 80s all the way up to today all had songs that had attitude and spirit in them, but nothing compares to the 60s in my Daddy's thoughts. Listening to it, I can see why he thinks the way he does. Rock rules, and I'm glad that you are a rock girl, Soccerulz. Please keep it up, girl. Yes, 4 days away now! Are you ready, girl? I know I am! Take care, and please have a great night, girl.
