You did. Cold Case IS a show about making sure no one is forgotten and the show that strives to keep that mantra out there, is being forgotten. The irony, it kills.

I sort of want to say something that also hints at the irony, but I'm afraid I can't. If anyone wants to hear it, PM me.

There are no words to express how I feel...I'm sad. But I'll never forget Cold Case! I've got my treasure: my tapes and DVDs with the episodes I recorded, and Cold Case will never be a cold case, to me. And...come on, I can't believe that CBS will stop showing re-runs of Cold Case!!!

I'm still sad. I'm going to miss COLD CASE so much. I do have a question though, what's going to happen to this fan site? now that CC is cancelled. I hope that TNT won't stop showing CC re-runs... I record every single episode. I almost forgot, CBS has listed CSI:MIAMI on CC time slot... I think that's the weakest of the three CSI's.

Look Again isn't closing shop as long as there are reruns on television and as long as fans wish to discuss. Even then the plan is to keep the place open. If fans want to continue to follow the cast then you can still come here and post information about their work. It's up to you if you want to keep the place active or not. So, feel free to bring information and post it and discuss.

I am just sick to my stomach about this. I just really don't have a reason to watch network television any more. I watch most of my shows on cable. I do tend to check out the Biggest Loser on NBC, but that is it. What is wrong with CBS? They will keep 50 installments of CSI & 20 installments of NCIS, but they won't keep Cold Case? It is like all the networks took one to many bumps off the foil and was cancel happy. All I can say is TNT is the greatest network for keeping episodes of Cold Case running. FOX & CW also run some episodes from time to time as well. I have every episode of Cold Case on DVD thanks to the beauty that is DVR & TNT. I will watch them every chance I get! COLD CASE WILL LIVE ON! At least in my little humble home!

It should be noted that by this time next year, I imagine CBS won't even have two of the CSI series anymore. They're putting CSI Miami in Cold Case's old time slot at 10 p.m., which is usually a death knell.

Yeah I just saw that about CSI Miami. They should have taken that one off and left Cold Case alone. I'll be turning the tv OFF at 9/10pm on Sundays from now on and wont purchase any products offered during that time slot. Were our letters to save the show even read? I joined the facebook bring back coldcase site but if the letter writing campaign didnt help I dont think this will either.

Sad to say lonewolf, none of them will read. I have a feeling CBS's minds were made up long before May came around to ax it.

Yeah but revenge is sweet. For what its worth heres's how viewers forced a network to bring back a show for 4 more years. Same network by the way!
Cagney and Lacey, a U.S. police procedural with pervasive melodramatic overtones is, deservedly, one of the most widely discussed programs in television history. The series aired on the CBS television network from 1982-88 and presented a set of bold dramatic combinations, blending and bending genre, character, and narrative strategies. Though rated in the list of "top 25" programs only once during those years, the show drew critical acclaim--and controversy--and established a substantial audience of fiercely loyal viewers who, on at least one occasion, helped save the program from cancellation by the network. As demonstrated by television scholar Julie D'Acci's outstanding study Defining Women: Television and the Case of Cagney and Lacey, the history of Cagney and Lacey provides a textbook case illustrating many issues pervasive in the U.S. television industry as well as that industry's complicated relationship to social and cultural issues.
In the spring of 1983 CBS executives had more straightforward matters to present to the producers of Cagney and Lacey--pointing to low audience ratings and canceled the program. By this time, however, the producers and the production company for the series had mounted an impressive public relations campaign and letter-writers from across the country mailed their protests to the company, the network, the producers--to anyone who would read and make use of them. The National Organization of Women took a lead role in the publicity campaigns. Newspaper critics called attention to the campaign. The series won numerous awards, Daly's Emmys for Best Actress in 1982-83 and 1983-84 among them. In the fall of 1983 CBS announced it would program seven "trial episodes" beginning in March 1984. Cagney and Lacey was back and remained on the air four more seasons.
Here is how I understand it was done: Letters to the network explaining how the show was different from any other show on television and praising the show on its merits (in our case we could remark how this show treated "sensitive" subjects with dignity and respect, letters to sponsers of the show telling them that 10 million people wont be purchasing their products unless the show is reinstated, and turning OFF the television completely during the time the show was on. Let womens organizations know that another show with a primary female cast member was cancelled. If we really dont want to give up without a fight, lets fight...but its going to take ALL of us to make it happen. If the only thing that CBS understands is the almighty dollar then lets hit them in the wallet.

What makes me sad is that we didn't have a finale.
But... Thanks for 7 years of emotions, tears, smiles and hope. Thanks Cold Case for all these emotions

I feel bad for CSI:Miami fans... what happened to COLD CASE, is going to happen to their show too, or any other show on that time slot.

That is what they do to kill a show, if I am not mistaken they moved Dr. Quinn to Sunday night right before they yanked it off the air as well

It's been nice sharing our opinions and reviews of the episodes for the last few years. Farewell people
Cold Case was a great show. Lasting as long as it did especially with budget cuts in the final season is a testament how good this production was. Kudos to the cast and crew and the supportive fans like us who tuned in every week.

Indeed it was coldfan74, I still truly believe we could have gotten one or two more seasons out of it. But CBS wasn't willing to do that.
