OMG! Did you hear what I heard?
Lilly: "At least you could make some money off the little chippy."
What are the chances of that ever happening? :smile21:
For those that are fans of the Scotty character this is a good episode. Actually I think this is the best episode so far this season. It's one of the rare eps where everything and everyone clicks. The soundtrack was good too.
And who is this Morris who played the role of Amy Lind?

More information about the person who played Amy: Was born S arah Jane Morris but it looks like she goes by S arah Morris. According to her imdb page, she was born on April 12, 1977 and she's from Memphis Tennessee. She has appeared in many tv shows according to tv.com and imdb. If you're wondering whether the two are related, despite of having a common last name.... Looks like they're not unless their parents moved from Ohio to Tennessee within 8 years. Anyhoo, it was a GREAT episode, and did anyone notice when some of the suspects made comments about Amy, Lily was paranoid that Amy and her might be alike?

Hi theotherkenny,
Thanks for info on S. Morris. I thought she was very good in the episode as well as the woman who played her sister "Alorra". Everyone was pretty good I thought overall.
Well that's some coincedence then if she isn't related to KM.
Yes, Lilly was struck with the comments from Alora about Amy being about her career, herself and her beloved cats. Lilly got it. Lilly also got some of Geraldine's comments about "manly" Can't remember the exact phrasing. You could see Lilly's wheels turning in her head.

This was another strong outing for CC last night!
I was really nervous about the Scotty investigating Elisa's death storyline, but it worked out really well. My heart broke for him when he realized that this new suspect had nothing to do with Elisa's death, despite the similarities. I know Scotty was just grasping at straws in order to rationalize what happened to Elisa, but he had his hopes up and they were quickly dashed. I thought his scene with Stillman outside PPD headquarters was very nice. Is Stillman not the best boss ever?! I love how he's always there for each of his detectives. You can tell that he truly cares. Last week was Kathryn's tour-de-force episode, and this week was Danny's. He did an excellent job taking Scotty through all the ups and downs last night. The closing scenes with Scotty placing Elisa's suicide letter in the same river that ended her life was so poignant and symbolic. He was literally letting go of Elisa and her suicide. I think her case is officially closed for him.
The case was also well done. The crime made sense, the victim was likable and the motive was strong. They didn't pull one of those it's-the-character-you-least-expected storylines, and I was happy. That tactic always comes across gimmicky and weak. I suspected Coleman all along because he just seemed dirty. I wasn't sure how involved he was in Amy's death, but I knew he had to have a hand in it. I thought Scott was ruthless, so it didn't seem out of character for him to be the one who actually pulled off the deed, although I was surprised. The secretary was very suspicious, but she ended up just being way too loyal for her own good. Coleman repays her by setting her up for insider trading and murder! That Coleman character was so despicable, and Amy was so likable that it seemed unfair that she lost her life and all he gets is a free trip to jail. I found myself wishing Amy's murder was all a bad dream when she was standing on the dock holding the poisoned sports drink. There were so many opportunities for Scott to take it back, but he didn't.
I liked the parallel of Amy's life to Lilly's, and Lilly's realization that people might see her in the same light. This has been a subtle theme this season, and the writers are doing a nice job of bringing it out without hitting us on the head with it. Lilly's character is undergoing some big changes this season as she deals with the George aftermath, her sister and Scotty and now the Bubley case. She's going through a lot of self-reflection, and I think she's starting to think that she might not have the scales tipped in the right direction. I read where Kathryn said that Lilly's changing hair status was a symptom of her new self, and I didn't really understand this statement at the time, but it makes perfect sense now. I think her experience with George caused her to really evaluate everything he said to her, and she decided that she wasn't exactly thrilled with how her life is going. She seems less in control and more free, especially emotionally. I really like the direction, and I'm excited to see her journey.

Okay so I've just seen the ep and I firstly I agree with everything TVFan has said. I liked this episode the case was good and after all the worry about Scotty dealing with Elisa's death it was actually handled very well. Danny did an excellent job and I much prefer seeing Scotty like he was tonight more than what he was like last week. In this episode he was sensitive and calm, not agressive and sarcastic like he can be. The case was excellent and I thought it was genius how in the characters of Amy and Scott they reflected alot of the way Lilly and Scotty's relationship is. I think calling the character Scott hinted at this for me. Certain lines and scenes made this apparent to me: When Vera and Jeffries were talking to Amys sister and Vera asked if Amy and Scott were involved. She explained that Amy wasn't his type and that it was strictly business. That to me is exactly the case with Lilly and Scotty. Amy's sister then said Scott had the flash and got the attention but Amy knew how to close a deal. Again this somewhat reflects Lilly and Scotty IMO, in this case it was lilly who again found the info that lead to the perp. Then later the Indian guy who loved Amy said "and when the big money came, war." This kind of reflects Lilly and Scotty again. They were good friends but when Chritina showed up and started to come between them it was war! Scotty then asks the guy if the throwdowns between Scott and Amy escalated. He said it turned to silence. Well hello isn't that what happened with Lilly and Scotty too?? Am I being crazy here??? I've got more though!! Then of course there is the comments from Amy's sister about the not being interested in many guys and the career and cats being the only thing in Amy's life which we all know is totally Lilly!! Then Scott doing the dirty with Coleman behind Amy's back is reflective of the Chris thing again. {Yeah I know scotty didn't try and kill Lilly but he did break her heart by lying to her]. When Scott apologized to Amy at the end it was like watching Scotty apologize to Lilly in the Woods. Amy had her arms folded and was looking down just like Lilly did as Scott/Scotty said sorry and admitted they were wrong. Then the comment Scott made saying he should have worked with Amy to me was remanicent of scotty saying he should have listened to Lilly about Christina. I've probably been totally crazy thinking all this but watching the episode although it didn't have a huge amount of lilly in just made me think about her life all the way through it. Weird I guess but that's what this ep did to me. I thought it was great and I'm just so glad that things seem to be getting back to the way they were. ;D ;D Loved the Jeffries comment about looking through the accounts was worse than looking through the poems last year!! Nice to see consistancy in that Lilly still has her blue and yellow mug. Lilly of course looked amazing and she was wearing the cute grey waistcoat again, although I did prefer it with the short sleeved shirt. Just loved every scene Lilly was in. I liked the going to the powder room comment, she tried to be really girlie! The looks on her face when Amy's sister was talking about the way Amy was I thought was also great. When she said Amy bought a kitten Lilly's face just lit up, it was so cute! Great ep!! ;D ;D

This Lilly/Scotty parallel with Amy/Scott is a very good observation! I totally didn't pick up on it, but I think you're right. Great catch!
