sonny,
I totally missed the Lilly/Scotty reflection. I only saw the Lilly from the standpoint of the case. But then I'm not really a Scotty fan.
One thing I didn't care for even though I believe this was the best done episode so far this year is # 1 giving Scotty the opening of the case and # 2 giving Scotty the ending. This isn't a show about Scotty Valens. They will never make it a show about Scotty, Jeffries, Stillman, or Vera. It's a show about Lilly. But here they are now still forcing Mr. Valens down our throats as a continum from the day he came on board this show. That's my two cents on that. It doesn't work.
I'm sorry they wasted such a well paced story and not featured Lilly. Another missed opportunity for a show that is terribly lacking Lilly. It's like Lilly is holding onto a tight rope dangling and is losing her grip and falling into the abyss.

I agree with you about Pappa Stillman. I wish they would utilize him more often but maybe it's just enough as it is now that endears his character to the viewers.
So I'm wondering is this Elissa thing now all done? Kaput? Is it as simple as a piece of paper being dropped into the polluted river?
I thought Malvinder's wifes computer notes were weird. "ghastly = lovely woman". That was different. I did like seeing Anna Mayes again.

Wow, I think this was a great ep! They're really getting back on track! Naj, after starving us with Lilly the first five eps, I wouldn't mind seeing more from her too, but I think it's great that they finally made Scotty close his past with Elisa, and I guess they kinda needed an entire ep to do it. I don't doubt they'll let us see more of Lilly in eps to come. I think it's neat how they reveal personal stuff about all the characters, peice by piece. Sonny, I totatty agree on your thoughts on the Amy/Scott vs. Lilly/Scotty parallell! I think they really did a great job writing it without making it stand out too much. And all theese tiny and less tiny things with Lilly, were sooo great! I just loooooved the "powder room" comment!! That's just so not Lilly at all! I never thought I would hear those words coming from her mouth, lol. And the "sisters have to stick together" comment from Amys sis.. Guess we all know what Lilly was thinking.. ...I just don't hope they're gonna give Lilly a heart attack!... And then I gotta comment on Vera's face sitting next to that cat in one of the first scenes!! Haha, he just doesn't like cats, does he?!

I didn't think there was enough Lilly in this episode. Other than that, it was pretty good. When I heard Lilly's line mentioning "chippy," I was laughing my head off and my mom thought I was crazy. Not really much more to say cause everyone here is so thorough. Edited cause my brain is fried.

This was a great episode, for the Scotty fans I agree. I really like the fact that the writers don't show him as a macho cop and they show a softer, more sensitive side to him as well. I'm really happy that he's letting go of Elisa. She was actually really pretty, I noticed when I saw the picture of her, even though I thought she showed a striking resemblance to Scotty, with the dark hair and dark eyes. I don't think Lilly and Scotty are going to hook up.....I think that'd be something that would make the show too soap opera like and unprofessional to the script. I don't think the rest of team would entirely enjoy it.
I didn't really love the story too much computer talk for me......that is good thinking with Scott/Amy idea though.

Shameless copy & paste from Source n1. Never fear, next week is Look Again's turn. :smile49: This was a well-orchestrated episode. I really liked it. It didn't have the emotional impact of others, but it was one of those where I sit back after watching and feel satisfied with the world at large (sorry, I'm feeling a little megalomaniac today). The characters were really interesting, and it didn't have the "too much" feel to it, even if there was lots going on. I especially enjoyed Geraldine the Prude's character. It was the richest among the lot--she's occupying a sort of 19th-century governess role, blind obedience and loyalty to her employers, thinking of them first and of her second, no matter what the cost. Her comments to Lilly were annoying (they would be, especially to me), but they were well suited to her character. Excellent job by the writers. Scott was such a cowardly little jerk. Anyone notice he had the same look on his face while handing Amy the drink as the guy who took care of Colin did on "Wishing" before leading him onto the tracks? The ultimate betrayal. He felt bad, but not bad enough to save her life. Geez. This is a person we're talking about. I'm not sure about the parallelism to Lilly's life as mentioned by Sonny. Enough hints were there to suspect a pattern--not too subtle but still interesting to watch. I'm sure the writers meant for us to pick them out (wouldn't have figured out as many as Sonny did though--thanks! :smile84: ) I'm not sure about Lilly's reaction to the comments. Not sure if she was taken aback, like "I'm gonna change" or if she just kinda rebelled against them for being old-fashioned. I think the "all work, no play" view they tried to give of Amy was a little exaggerated, considering she's only 24 and all. I mean, do you really expect someone to have their life all figured out, life partner and kids and all, by 24??? Only a lucky few get to do that. But it's definitely not the norm. Oh, and they made a slight technical boo-boo regarding Coleman's meds. Kidney failure makes your potassium rise, so you would NEVER give potassium to someone with a kidney condition--you might kill them! But well it fit the plot so what the hey, right? Durn good ep. EDITED TO ADD: Forgot to mention Scotty's storyline. I thought it was good, but not great. I mean, it was nicely done, but I would've liked to see it better developed. I can't buy he'd convince himself right away he'll never know and just let it go at that. On the other hand, the poor guy has been mourning and pining for nearly a year, so it's high time he let go. I loved Anna Mayes in this ep, she was such a good friend. Danny Pino did a great job with Scotty's emotions, but I still think this storyline could have stretched through several eps in a less "concentrated" way. Still, since I was the one complaining I didn't want anymore Scotty drama, I might as well shut up about it. :smile65:

I noticed this as well sukkerspinn and it made me laugh! Vera is just too funny. I hope we get more personal stuff on him soon. I think he and Stillman are the only two left of the supporting players.

Did anyone notice in the ending montage of this episode that as Lilly walks through the file store and puts Amy Linds box on the shelf you can see Krystal Hogans [Sherry Darlin] closed box on the shelf. None of the other names I recognised.

I have just seen this episode a moment ago and don't feel happy again. Ruda said that I would be amazed by Start Up but I really wasn't. Heeelp... I want the old CC back! Almost every "new" ep of S2 I see, I love it but I can't understand what in S3 is that doesn't fit me... I am not a big Scotty fan. I admire his love for Alyssa, thoug. He loved her sooo much, he cried, was upset - heh, I did not see it during 3x07. Let's find out what about 3x09 :] I am starting the file right now

This was one of the best episodes this season. It was more llike the past two seasons with a lot of tough and sarcastic Lilly. There could have been a little less characterization of those surrounding the victims. However, for the most part it met my expectations.
