I have to call it an early night tonight so will post more tomorrow. Veena's got them smoking this year on the eps. They are cranking some good stuff out for us. There were a few minor things but it was a very good episode all the way around. I was very intrigued by the entire storyline. Gotta give it another Excellent.

Lilly finally admits she doesn't want to be alone , her heart was so broken when Joseph broke up with her. She was so close to tears that you could acutally hear the tears in her voice. Kudos to Kathryn for really showing how much Lilly truely did love him. Yes it was wrong for Lilly to not have told him sooner but I was cheering that Lilly didn't just let him walk away but tell him how she really feels. I felt for Lilly a lot , especially at the end when she comes home alone and finds the key , see I told everyone here that she really loved Joseph.
We found out more about how Ellen loved Christina more you could actually see the hurt and rejection in Lilly's eyes. So it wasn't just stemming from her dad walking out but from her mother as well, maybe that's why she is the way she is. Danny Pino did an outstanding job in this episode showing that Scotty can be a caring down to earth person.
I somehow knew what Lilly wasn't going to get together with either guy, but Joseph let her down so quickly. He didn't give her a chance not after seeing her like this
One thing that got me, why did Lilly push away the key at the end??

I definitely love it when they're able to weave a theme together into several stories like they did in this episode. Very masterful. It was very interesting to compare and contrast how Ray & Lilly, and Joseph & Lilly dealt with breaking up, versus Doug & Ruby... I think Lilly definitely experienced a moment of Catharsis on the basketball court at the moment Doug began to admit he killed the Harrises over his heart... Being "lovesick", as Lilly says. Here's Doug, who's fear of being alone leads him to the tragic murder of his girlfriend's parents. Then, there's Lilly, who is not losing one, *but two* boyfriends. One, someone who she shared decades of experiences together with, and another who has known her for only a short time, but can easily understand her through and through as if he's known her forever. Definitely, knowing the circumstances that led to Ruby and Brent's tragedy is something that allows her to cope with her dual losses more easily.

I don't have time to post tonight, but I thought this was another strong episode this season. In fact, every episode is so good that I feel like voting "good" on one means that it didn't measure up! Good problem to have. I haven't voted yet because I'm waffling between good and excellent. I'll vote tomorrow and bring all of my thoughts as well. In the meantime, I do have some thoughts and caps at Pass the Remote. I'll have more Look Again-specific things to say on here tomorrow.

I posted the samething over at source#1
Okay okay, I'll be honest I'm glad for one that Ray is gone. I knew he wasn't the man for Lilly . Be should have Lilly told Joseph about him , yes did she no. Even if she did , I don't think that Joseph would have stuck around for a long time anyway. As Alice said in sandhogs " Something that special doesn't last ". Did Lilly admit that she doesn't want to be alone yes, but her heart was totally broken. She realized that she had made a terrible mistake one that took away. Was Joseph a little harsh yes, but he was right how wants to be the consulation prize anyway? Is it a possiblily that he was looking into her thoughts when he said " Maybe you like to be alone".

Good episode, and the scenes with Lilly and Joseph broke my heart. Seems that Lilly is admitting that she needs someone.
Alot of blue was used. Hello blue overload.
Figured out the killer as soon as they mentioned the gun, so that didn't shock me.

Well I'm glad the soap opera has ended looks like Lilly will be going back to her unhappy self with no love. Poor Lilly, her face at the end broke my heart, I can acutally relate to her feeling unloved and alone. The type of fish that brent was holding was meant to be alone, could this symbolize Lilly being alone as Joseph said before he walked off?

...The type of fish that brent was holding was meant to be alone, could this symbolize Lilly being alone as Joseph said before he walked off? Ahh.... Good catch, LII!! Soooo..... Very, very interesting to see Scotty standing in front of the "aquarium" mural. Another "water" reference..... and possibly foreshadowing that Scotty's backstory is about to unfold in the upcoming episodes??? Hmmm.... Back in Season Three's "Joseph", I wrote: ...And then, a few moments later, Lilly is show in a juxtapositioning with the poster that says "Power Comes From Within", with water ripples surrounding Lilly's head. VERY, VERY COOL!! That Water....i.e. Personal Change... That "Power" comes from "Within". I like that!! Even more uber-cool is the little droplet above Lilly's head...just like a light bulb above her head turned on... Very interesting thought to leave us with here at the end of season three. Looks like more Lilly stories and backstories in Season Four to me. So here we are at the fifth episode in Season Four, and Lilly's alone now, needing to make her "change from within". This is just like the discussion that a lot of you folks have made that Lilly should find happiness from within, rather than through the men she dates. Looks like that foreshadowing came true... So is Scotty's backstory next??

Anyone notice that the Title itself is a spoiler?
Saving Sammy.
Sammy = Brent's fish
Doug = Saved Sammy.
Doug killed the parents.
I also should have known that something was up when Brent kept saying "Saving Sammy" referring to that night. Doug claimed that Brent couldn't keep time straight and was referring to the time when the Parents had the fish in the basement. But sure enough on the night of the murder, Doug once again saved Sammy.
I was happy when the headguy of that school got arrested.

is it possible that Lilly might have an emotional breakdown from all of this. It seems like everyone she tries to love always lands up abdonding her. She must feel like she's cursed or she simply isn't wanted maybe these feelings have always been there since Birth.

I liked the case. Although at the very first visit with Brent about the odometer, I wondered why they didn't press for him to tell what he saw at other odometer settings. Maybe because it was difficult to talk to him? They felt a little at a time was the best way to go? I was suspicious about the boyfriend but then the case keep changing and weaving. I thought it was riveting -- waiting to see how it would all turn out. Lilly had two great interrogations and the episode seemed well oiled moving along with precision of balance between the other detectives. To me that's usually a sign that they've done a great job. Well they had to get Scotty in there for some screen time and allowed him to pick on Vera to take over the interrogations of Brent. It came off as a younger brother wanting the limelight. But my Vera can take it. Still don't know how Vera agreed to take off the pukey yellow tie. And poor Lilly just keeps getting dumped. What is it with these men? They get into a relationship and it's early in the relationship. Ya got to be around someone for a spell, Joseph before you go getting all macho about things. If he really loved her he'd not act like such a jerk. I couldn't believe this coming from a counselor! MEN! ;D Anyhow, I don't know the significance of Lilly putting the key on the couch cushion and pushing it away. It was intriguing. Also does any notice that Lilly is all in control 99.9% but then has these moments where she acts like a child? It's usually when she talks about her 49/past like in the Woods with George and now here pleading to Joseph. It's sad. There was really a lot of good material here for Lilly. I hope we continue to get more on her all season and that this just isn't a starting season thing and then she slips into the background and it scare for the cases too. The best episodes are ones that have very strong cases and quality back stories just as this one did. edited for spelling...

Also does any notice that Lilly is all in control 99.9% but then has these moments where she acts like a child? It's usually when she talks about her 49/pas like in the Woods with George and now here pleading to Jospeh. It's sad. Maybe because Lilly can't deal with these emotional problems straight up. It's almost like she wants people to feel sorry and also wants someone to pay attention to her. I have a feeling that no one had every paid any attention to her that she grew up faded into the background. She wants to be loves desperatly more then ever before. Her emotional problems are laid so heavly on her heart that it's causing extreme pain. I think everyone she had dated has seen her pain and how she can't emotional bond with someone for long. She really needs help to sort out these feelings The very last scene it flashes to Lilly's hand, could it symbolize that she is lonely because there isn't a ring on her hand
