Hehe, Sukker... no idea. I'll give my impression tonight... but as for now, my hopes are at a all time low. From what I've heard (precious little anyhow), the MC romance was nothing good.

Lilly, Lilly, Lilly.... THAT IS NOT A GUY TO GET CRAZY OVER, OKAY??? HEY, GIRL, IF YOU LIKE RIDING BIKES, THEN I GOT ONE TOO!! >>>IRISH PUB<<<, OKAY??? HA HA HA! ANYWAY, did anyone catch that Julious wore a motorcycle jacket?? I wonder what the implications are.... BAD DAY FOR BOXMAN: Sheesh. I took off my jacket when I got in from going out, and a BIG static spark jumped my hand to my computer rack! Burnt out my main computer. Power supply has fried capacitors, and after replacing it, it looks like video card and motherboard is gone too. Gosh, I hope my hard drives are okay.... I'm pretty p*ssed because I had an important update on the fanfic post.... I'm on an old P2 system right now. Its chugging along, but it only barely handles the graphics of this site. I probably won't be able to post much for awhile, probably only for a few minutes at lunch and after work, so everyone TAKE CARE! DF, I got your photos, but you won't see them for awhile! P.S. BOXMAN is not Vera nor Jeffries! Ha ha ha! Oh Noo.. I'm so sorry I hope you can get it fixed and come back soon

hello fish! I see this ep brought you out of lurkdom since season 1. Yea, I wasn't too impressed with MM either. And again, Lilly has some bizarre female/male signals. Like, whats up with her. Is she some cold insect that mates then kills the male? Weird I tell you. I liked the bank story as I worked in one for 18 years. I assume this was based on a true story. I tell you if any man came into a bank and iivited me out and within two weeks suggested a bank robbery, I'd not say a word to him but report him to the bank offiicial and police. I don't care how cute he is. "moron" The only part of the story I thought was a poor sell was the actual robbery when Phil and what's his name took off their masks. Somone had to have been at an angle to see their faces for a full composite. I mean we used to have regular drills about this stuff with actual people posing as robbers coming in (after hour meeting drills). And how they wasted time in the vault discussing the robbery and the end waiting for Phil to shoot the girl. Entirely too much time - being the alarm had been sounded. So that part was kinda shakey to me. But all in all I liked the episode. Wasn't the best of the season but it was a likeable ep. I was wondering when they'd bring out the country music star songs. Lilly looks worn torn this season like she's aged about 10 years. Not happy with it. The Michael Jackson makeup has got to go. She's too pretty for that gunk. Please tell me that this biker guy isn't going to show up week after week because Lilly is destined to be with her cats forever, or so my roommate insists. So, does anyone remember how we used to get excited whenever Lilly let her hair down during the first two seasons? Now, I wish she'd put it up at least every once in a while. She looks a whole lot more high-maintenance this way and doesn't suit her job that well.

Oh Noo.. I'm so sorry I hope you can get it fixed and come back soon Thanks, Eurache! Hopefully, it looks a little slow at work this week, so I may have time to slip online now and then... And again, Lilly has some bizarre female/male signals. Like, whats up with her. Is she some cold insect that mates then kills the male? Weird I tell you. Yeah. Typical Philly chick. Ha ha ha! Sorry, Naj, you left that swipe too easy to resist! It really got me how the show opened up with Roween's 30th birthday. Like her, for me my 30th was a small family celebration, but I already had decided a long time before that I was leaving my hometown for somewhere else (eventually landing me here in Philly). So that's why being single when I turned 30 was okay, but I admit it still felt funny knowing that some of my friends were already married or in long term relationships. I think that kind of event is much harder for a woman, though, and I was a little surprised they didn't play that up more in the episode. Maybe they didn't feel like they needed to?? I guess they did really made her look homely, like she was already way into her thirties with her flat oily hair.... Anyway, in my view thats the big reason why she was so easy letting him lead her on. Desperation like that is so sad...she really needed to get out of her books and live it up more earlier--Julius saw that too.

Feeling desparate - yeah, maybe that wasn't executed well enough to feel like a motivation. Even tho that was her motivation. The fact that she was Head Teller is unforgivable. I am surprised that a Head Teller is working a window though. When I was in banking and certainly not so now a days would a Head Teller be working a window unless it was to fill in - in a pinch but they ususally rotate temps among several branches? That part was kinda off for me but they were trying to tell a story.
Was it the Manager? The man who was unable to open the vault during the heist? That's typical that he couldn't open the vault. Tricky thing about vaults and combinations, you have to do it daily to get be able to open well. I thought that scene was funny.

Maybe that's why her judgement was so bad... Cold Case makes me uncomfortable sometimes at the way they show good people making bad judgements. I'm beginning to think that is part of the MO of the writers--and truthfully, even though it makes me uncomfortable, I kinda like it. Ridley Scott said of a scene in Blade Runner that sometimes something can be so gory yet unusual that even though looking at it is perverse, you can't turn away because of curiosity. These discomforting scenes and people make me think of that.

My post for this episode is in regards to the long anticipated arrival of the motorcycle man. This was an episode which had finally had some Lilly backstory. I think her relationship with the MM was to show the parallels between her,and the character of Roween. It showed how these two women are torn between their own personality and beliefs, and how they are easily led by their feelings, and passion for these men. Lilly probably knows that the relationship with the MM is not feasible, but yet she is drawn to him. He is carefree, and she is more responsible, and driven(sensible). I personally don't see this relationship going anywhere between Lilly, and Ray. Lilly can't change how she feels about her career.

And also possibly an illustration to contrast how much she changed with how little he has?? It's a big leap to become one of the few women detectives in Philly Homocide, but not much of a change for MC Man.... I still need to watch that all over--the whole story wasn't what I expected!

I think this is what makes the show successful. These people making the bad judements are people we have as friends, co-workers, partners. Seemingly good people commit crimes. Hi cherzee. I admit I had people over last night and was half watching this episode. I'm hoping to watch it more thoroughly this week. I totally missed the Roween/Lilly connection but it does make sense. I agree that I will be surprised if there is much more between Lilly/MM. I mean, I don't forsee Lilly up and leaving her job. Besides he was leaving the next day.

I do not like the character that Tracie Thoms plays. I think this actress is really stiff and most go. Also, I would have liked to see Lilly involved in more of the interrogations, asking the tough questions. It seemed that Scotty did most of the talking.

Head Tellers never opened up a window, unless they were short handed. So I was surprised that she was opened. yep, Temp tellers were usually rotated btwn branches for security reasons. The manager had to do his part and head teller had to do her part. It was two dials, upper one, Manager opens and then bottom part, the head teller opens. It's double security in a situation like that. However, I know when one branch was robbed downtown NYC, this Manager had difficulty open her part b/c she was shaking in her boots. These crooks came in the back way and had been watching the branch. Waited til all the appropriate ppl that open the safe were there..and some how got in the back door. Again, like I said, it's a dual control dial system. It was kind of funny, but that memory of what happened to a manager and a friend of mine, who was a supervisor of platform (had second combo), brought back memories.

I think it was the impression that most "good" girls are fasinated with bad boys. Two different stories but some similarities The "bad boy" image with the jackets

YEY!! I've seen it!! And as you can probably guess I loved it!! The case was excellent and I got really emotional when Roween was shot. You could see her crying as she slid down the filing cabinet dying; so sad And well, so much to say about Lilly and Ray! YEY Lilly got laid, twice!!! No mushiness; not in my opinion anyway and I think Lilly was, well, very Lilly like through the whole thing. I think the reason she said "tell him I'm dead" was such a front. They guys were taking the pi$$, she obviously thinks fondly of this guy [cos of the scene in 8 Years] but doesn't want it to show. She acts all tough like she doesn't give a damn, but you could tell she did cos her face just dropped when he pulled up outside. Love that "Oh crap" from Lilly. Loved the way she said "Hey" to Ray; kinda seductive I thought. Notice she turned to see if scotty was still there before she got on the bike. I think she was hoping he wasn't but saw he was and still thought sod it I wanna go with him so i'm going to! And what was with Scotty?? He looked kinda jealous to me and was being overly protective of Lilly asking her if she wanted him to sort it. I think Lilly's whole mixed kinda reactions were due to her being desperate not to mix work and personal life. She was worried that Ray had said something to Scotty, cos she knew she would get teased by the guys if they knew she'd gotten laid! She was clear with Ray [with the whole "goodbye" thing] that work was important saying she couldn't ditch work to go for a ride. That's significant and shows that Lilly has learnt from the mistakes in her relationship with Kite. She's made it clear that when she's at work she doesn't wanna play and that stuff has to wait [hence him turning up at her door at the end and her letting him in]. I loved how her face and mannerism turned back into work mode at the click of a finger when she opened the door to Scotty; and the way she said she needed another minute was amusing cos she totally gave away the fact that scotty had interupted a 'moment'! All in all, I thought the whole episode was ace, and I do hope Ray is gonna be back, he's quite dreamy, and Lilly obviously thinks so too! EDIT: I've added more at Source #1 if your interested to justify the Lilly/Ray thing further!!
