So what did you all think? Thought I'd just say a little before I head on into chat for this evening.
Possible Spoilers....
. . . . . . . . . . . .
This was a good Cold Case episode. I wish there were more done like this each season. The subject matter was sensitive about teen suicide/depresseion and rape. I liked a case centered around high school friends at school. Liz Garcia did it again for the show! There was a nice balance of the cast in this one as well.
I've never been around anyone/young teen who suffers from suicidal thoughts and just seems to get in with the wrong influences so it didn't affect me as much as it may have if I had that in my life. I never guessed who killed Trevor? But I'm never good at that kind of thing.
I totally missed the conversation between Vera and Valens at the beginning. Were they insinuating that Kat gay? The one thing I do dislike about the recasting for the detective is that they gave Kat the same attitude as the one they fired. I don't care for that. It makes it look like she is kinda filling the part of the initial character in her mannerisms.

This episode was really good, but there isn't enought of lilly , It's nice to see Lilly and scotty working together , One thing I had noticed is that Lilly is quite different a little more quieter then in Seasons 1 and 2 anyone else notice this

Nah, didn't care for it too much...
I like the eppies where there was meaning behind what was said and how Lily or the others applied it to themselves. Not enough of that in this eppie.

This episode kind of hit a little too close to home. I almost lost a really good friend of mine to suicide back in 2000. I agree with canuckiepen, in the sense that the episodes that have more meaningful quotes and events that they relate to. I really liked the choices of music for this episode. I even got a little bit of a giggle because I could recognize all the songs. It made me feel old.

We've been discussing Lilly's change in our weekly chats and I think many would like to see the ole Lilly back. (S1 lilly). Hi canuckiepen! Which eps do you like more? For me that would be The Sleepover, Daniela, Best Friends, Mindhunter, Strange Fruit, The Letter, Time To Hate, Sherry Darlin' to name a few. I thought the story was well written and executed. To me if the story is uninteresting then what's the point. But it's interesting to see why we like or don't like eps and the way to do that is here. Love to hear your fav eps so far. Hi NikkiB, I can't say I enjoyed the music as it wasn't my style. We discussed some of this in chat last night about teen suicide. It's gotta be difficult knowing someone struggling with this whether it be a child, sibling or friend. The show always reminds me of what is really going on in the world. It ain't pretty. I did enjoy the setting and subject matter of the ep. ~Naj

This episode hit really too close to home.
Almost disturbingly so.
I actually had to get up and leave the room during the final scene (that ending montage thing).
With that said - I thought this was a very well done episode. When I realized that (oh gosh I forgot the kids names already!) the kid hadn't been pushed (on purpose), he was just trying to stop that other kid from jumping - *sniffle* Haha, I totally lost it.
Haha, I really loved the Kurt Cobaine/Courtney Love references. I'm not a huge Nirvana fan myself - but I know some people who are determined to prove that Kurt didn't kill himself, and like go into mourning on the anniversary of his death. Haha....it was cool to see that in the episode.
And that girl being raped by her step-father....once again, hit a little too close to home. But I loved Jeffries interrogation of the guy....
I don't think I'll be able to watch this one again - as I said, hit a little too close to home. But, it was a very good episode....

Hi soccerulz,
Yes, the stepfather was another added tragedy added into the fray. And the Jeffries element that he was coming back for him was well done. Jeffries has been included more this season and has done very well. Even though I didn't care for that kind of music it was the right choice for the subject matter. I kinda wondered if Nirvana had sung that last song - however that would be a stretch but the version was a good choice.

ok... so... please... tell us more PLEASE! PLEASE! what about Lil? what about Scotty? Very scanty on Scotty, ruda. It would be best to wait for TVFan's review. I know it's hard but she does the best reviews of the elements of the case and is more impartial than I am.
