I just watched this episode...... oh my god, Kathryn is such a great actress..... I already knew that, but that moment with Sean (when she tells how she was too proud to ask fo help) was so intense ! Maybe the best Lilly moment I've seen.
And the episode was amazing! I didn't figure out who did it until the very ending. I felt really sorry for Sean. Everything went wrong in his life.
I liked that friend of Lilly's, Lindsey. She would make an interesting semi-regular character, and old friend of Lilly who could give us a few hints on Lilly's younger years.
If all that wasn't enough - Eternal Flame at the ending..... I just love that song !

Tatiana - I agree with you on that scene between Sean and Lilly. It was very powerful and extremely well acted. I liked Eternal Flame at the end as well. I had forgotten about that song. I too would like to see Lindsey return from time to time. She could add some great insight!

something else that I noticed and forgot to mention the other time was that, on the end, Lilly seemed to have a happy smile on her face. for me it seemed like she felt a stronger relief in solving this case.

I noticed this too Tatiana. I think you're right. It seemed like she could see that a happy ending was in Sean's future. I think the fact that she could relate to his situation so well made it even sweeter when his family showed up to support him. Actually, that's one of my favorite closing shots of the season. Lilly smiles, turns, and walks away like her job is done. Very well done. I have to say, CC pulls the music ending thing off well. Others show that I've seen try this in some episodes don't seem to convey the same sense of closure and emotion that CC does. Since there is never any closing dialogue, it falls on the writers and the actors to bring that out. Both succeed beautifully IMO.

This was the only episode I had yet to see and I had heard great things about it. I found it OK but not one of my favorites. It did have some great twists and turns that I didn't see coming and I didn't really guess who the kill was. I thought it was Sean's real dad for awhile but I knew he wouldn't have left him there if he killed her so other than him, I was at a loss as to who the killer may be. I prefer eps in which the whole team have equal screen time and this was definately a Lilly centered ep which was good but not great. To me though, this episode did have the saddest murder. To see 3 year old Sean sitting with his murdered "mother" for all those hours really broke my heart and I certainly felt bad for him and realized he had it rough growing up after that terrible exprerience. But Lilly really understood him which we saw in that nice exchange in the interrogation room near the end when Sean said he would have liked to meet his real family. The music also seemed bland in this ep for some reason. No one song really stuck out as fitting for the scene in which it was used. But I do think this episode contains one of the best lines in the series. Lindsay to Lilly, "So do you want to do a girls night soon?" Lilly thinks for a second, "Yeah." Lindsay replies, "But if you'd rather go fly a KITE, I'd understand." foujylos.notlong.com [/IMG]

Ooooo one of my fave eppy's. I've got a few more weeks to wait for this in the UK. I've just enjoyed Glued this week though, another of my very fave eps. I wonder why!! :smile56:
