Yeah, I agree with you now, thinking about it, Eduardo. Although I do think maybe it was a typo that they decided not to change in the end, because they thought it fitted.
Another unrelated comment about this episode: did anyone else think that, when everyone was saying "We were as rare as Halley's comet", that it sounded like they were saying, "We were as rare as hell is common." I know, it doesn't make the slightest bit of sense, but when I was watching this episode, I was like "What...?" and then I came here and realised what they were really saying ;D

I still think the real intention was "love conquers all" because the Spanish title for this episode is "el amor conquista todo" that is like Love conquers everything(same as all) so In spanish they did not have the mistake, I dont know... just speculation I saw no sign that they merely wanted Max as a "prize". They did justify it by telling themselves they were saving him from a bad home with an addict mom. (If you go back and watch the conversation between Lois and Priscilla, you can see why Lois was sure Priscilla would relapse). As flimsy as that justificaton was, Rebecca didn't even have that, as Sean definately came from a happy home. That's right but I liked that Rebecca cried in the end True, but were those tears of guilt or just sadness at losing something that was never really hers? It's too bad Tracy Middendorf (the actress) doesn't have a myspace page or official site or such where we could write her and ask.

We would have to ask the episodeĀ“s writer: Laurie Arent I think she loved Sean in a complicated way... I dont approve she stole Bobby because I really dislike crime but she wanted to have a child

I'm sure she did love Bobby/Sean and wanted a child, just like the Rabinskis in "Ghost of My Child" wanted one.

Moderator comment: Interesting discussion, but please better take it, where it belongs, to the episode in question, 1x21 Maternal Instincts. Thanks

I know that this was Scotty's first episode but I liked the cool, calm Scotty instead of the one that seems to have come off the deep end in later seasons.
I thought this was a good episode but people never learn though, tell the truth or the other person will make you look bad.
You can tell that Stillman is already an easy going guy. I don't know if a boss would press the issue of what you said, when Scotty said the word B-tch killer.

Good episode.
Scotty really didn't make a good first impression, did he?
The case was very good. It wasn't until near the end that I thought "Hey, I recognise this! This is the Texas Cadet murder!" Jane and Bennett were kind of revolting and narcissistic. And they let some poor guy rot in jail for twenty years.
Interestingly, the show didn't focus much on Paige herself, but since it was a good mystery, that didn't bother me.
At least Al got to ride away into the sunset.
