What a solid, powerful and emotional episode! I had watched it before but now with these excelent reruns, I watched again and I said wow!!!! Excellent episode! I think It has been said before but...
1. Did anyone else notice that Stillman in the interview with Margaret had an Irish flag on his jacket? Is he Irish?
2. In the beginning when Hillary asked her mom permission to go to the bathroom her dad got angry because she used a different word and he stated "Speak English Hillary"
3. What exactly happened with Dr. Finnigan?

I assume that Stillman is, since he had been seen with that irish flag. Why else would he wear it.
The doctor, killed four girls the delievery table but no charges were brought against him. Kat states that they the state finally revolved his lisence after the complaints.

I can't watch this episode without crying in wracking sobs at the end. That end scene where she's reaching up to her baby as Karen is running away.....if that isn't the most powerful imagery CC has ever used, I'm not sure what would be.
To be honest, I've only seen the episode probably two or three times because it's just so emotional.

Thanks to TNT, I finally got to watch this episode. WOW! Tears were rolling at the end! I just somehow knew the last image at the end would be of Lilly looking at a picture of her mother, due to all the build up and emotional angst you seen in Lilly's face. What great performances all the way around! I gave it one of the season's best due to finally seeing Lilly at the head of it all like in the beginning!

I really liked this episode and I liked how they had Kat talk about things that she can't imagine. I can't imagine the way things were way back when and it just seems like a lifetime ago.
I thought maybe Huck was the doer but I do wonder if Huck ended up telling his family about his daughter but I liked that he got to see her at the station.

Very powerful episode, definately in the top ten. My heart goes out to all the posters who told us their heartbreaking stories of how they were ripped away from their children because it would look "bad" to society at large. I too noted, the fact Karen wasn't handcuffed or shown behind bars, one of the few times that's happened on CC. The point was sadly made that she'll be only be able to briefly reunite with the son she spent her whole life looking for before she has to go to jail. There was no doubt Karen was a victim herself in having her child stolen. Having said that, I imagine she will still do some jail time. The thing that will work against her in trying to use a PP defense like the mother in Baby Blues was most likely able to... she HAD been violent before. As pointed out by Sister Margret and Karen,Hilary wasn't the first girl Karen had used a rock against. That will be a factor, no matter how heartbreaking the trials she went through at St.Marys were. Truly heartbreaking episode and another one that to me, shows the "good old days" weren't really that good at all.
