Great observation, Sonny! I just re-watched the ending montage of Volunteers to see it. She does take the photo out and sort of wistfully walks away with it. The only thing I would say to refute the theory is that earlier in the montage we see Scotty giving one of the photographs to one of the women who associated with the victims. Then it cuts to a shot of another one of the women associates putting a framed photo of the victims on her wall. So it could be that Lilly takes the photo out because it's her turn to deliver it to another person (like Scotty does earlier in the montage.) Good theory and that's maybe why Scotty didn't look at her odd when she took it.

I remember this scene as well because it always puzzled me. This is a great observation sonny! This makes perfect sense to me. I wonder if the writers have always intended that Lilly would keep the photos of her victims. I can also see irishkale's theory as well. If I remember that scene correctly, Lilly did have a sort of pride look on her face, so perhaps she was keeping it for herself. Regardless, this was an excellent revelation sonny! :smile39:

My turn to say something..... ;D
George did work at the police office, and he also admitted that he occasionally watched her, so it wouldn't be odd that must have seen her with a picture of a victim.
I think Lilly keeps the picture of the victims because, it's her case now and is finally closed, unsolved cases are more important to her than present cases and it's her little victory over non-justice, as she said she didn't like to let the doers get away with murder....

Hmm... if George worked in the archives shouldn't he stay there? I mean -- wasn't it strange that he was pottering everywhere? Didn't it bother anyone? I thought that he saw Lilly interrogating the suspects... ("I've seen it before...")

ewka, George (I think) is the kind of person who people doesn't notice, there are some people that doesn't have anything special who just blend in the background...
So George could be "invisible" i PD HQ, that's why people don't notice him....

Yes but PPD is a busy place, everybody going about their work, so he may have gone unnoticed on occasions?? He may have even been ask to take files to and from people who were to busy to go and collect/return them for themselves which would give him opportunity. I mean he must have seen Lilly around before this cos he knew so much about her.

Sonny is a convincing gal! Anyway, I think she and Pixie and pretty accurate in the perception of George. He's a "nobody" guy, cruel though it may seem. There are always are these people who go unnoticed, the "invisibles" who can hang around anywhere without making a sound, see everything, hear everything and KNOW everything--without being noticed. It's pretty easy actually. I used to play spy when I was a child, and you wouldn't believe how many people stop seeing you if you just sit around one place all quiet long enough. ;D

I was just wondering b/c george seemed to knwoing everything about Lilly's 49 is it possible that he was her attacker

I don't think so, LII. The reason he knew so much about the 49 was because he read it. He worked in the records department so he had easy access to all the reports that came through the police department.

The reason why I asked is b/c George gave the impression that he knew Lilly a lot more then others, I know he must have read the report but maybe he was the attacker but disguised himself like his other murders in order for her not to give a description. Maybe that's why he picked Lilly later on , he wanted to finished what he started , That's just my theory. I'm glad lilly shot him , she is a very brave person

It's an interesting theory LII. I think George tried to absorb as much as he could about the other detectives just so he could throw it back to them and try to get them off-kilter in the interrogation scenes. But with Lilly, he was trying to make her his next hunting foe. She had everything he was looking for, including a 49 report where she fought back, and she was also a cop. George saw Lilly as the ultimate opponent, someone who was equal to himself in every way. He wanted her to know that, and that's why he forced her to kill him. He knew exactly what he was doing and it worked. He got into her head, and he's still there.

I don't think he's still in Lilly's mind , But maybe what happened to her still remains. i still believe he saw Lilly as a lonely child like he was ,attacked her and took his anger out on her b/c of what his mom did to him. Some serial killers hurt their victim or victims then come back for them years later, george might have done the same, from the moment lilly started as a cop he knew he would be back for her . To challage her again but as two adults, He seemed recollect like he was actally there, that's what gave me this theory , for him it might have been a flashback seeing lilly cry again.

I think George's taken over Lilly's body, and lives on inside her. It's just a matter of time before she turns whacko and pulls a George on her co-workers. You'll see.
