So I was wondering what I'd think watching this episode a second time. I still like it. Actually the story flowed better for me. I wondered when Lilly was shifting from answering questions from George about her childhood (her 49) to her trying to get to him that she was pretending to be upset. Also I George does come in later in the episode. Much later than I remember him showing up. Still a good ep and I'm interested in seeing how she handles it.

I watched the episode 5 times in the week as when the series was first shown that's how many times SKY ONE repeat it [how lucky were we??]. And i loved it more and more every time. The part where Lilly is on the phone to George and he tells her he knows about the photo's is probably my favourite bit. Scotty's face is one of horror and Lilly hides the fact that she is embarrassed and scared so well. Oooooo I just love this episode and so want to know how the aftermath is going to be addressed in season 3. And they'd better address it well or I think I will be a little disappointed. I think it had a huge effect on Lilly and for it to not be brought up would make all the information we found out seem less meaningful IMO.

I have a question on this episode. When Lily and George are in the Woods and George was talking about not needing family and then said something about Christina. What was that? My TV faded out for a few minutes and I missed it.

He said something about Christina not being able to keep her grubby hands off of Lilly's fiance. He called her a b*tch, and Lilly said something about her not being like that. I don't remember the actual lines, but it was something to this effect.

I believe it was something like "sticky little fingers over hubby-to-be, a real b*tch in heat". Mind you, I only saw the episode twice and it was a long time ago, so I could be mistaken... but it sounds about right.

Your right Disasterfreak, you remembered that line well!! ;D Lilly says back to George that she doesn't think that about her. But he tells her "you did"

no , george was just plain crazy. Lilly really rocked in this episode i am very surprised that Kathryn ddin't win am emmy for this episode. I like how one moment she is crying the next yelling at him to get on the ground. As lilly said in mindhunters" no wonder why you are such a little man " meaning weak and pyshcologically couldn't shake what is mom did to him years ago . I also think george got a high hearing about Lilly's 49 , he wanted her to be weak my guess is that he wanted to kill her , but she played a mindgame and won , she was going to be his last but her being a cop made him the last victim of his game. I also noticed at the end , she knows in her mind that the victims are going to apepar in the attic window that's why she looked up there. The team standing behind her and her younger side seeing them represented her family, that these people are her family . That she has to let it go , they will never hurt her
I think george wanted her to kill him , maybe he too was tired of killing after the last body turned up. right after lilly shot george to death she looked scared as a child ,afriad stillman was there but he knew she had to be hurting. This episode was the best finale i give it a 10

May I ask a question? I burned an audio CD with "The Woods" and listened more times than a sane human would (but it's not the point right now... :> ) When it comes to George's call to Lil I always wonder how did he know about the photos in Lilly's apartment. Did I miss anything?

I don't think we ever found out for sure, ewka, but the assumption was that he knew Lilly so well that he went out on a limb and was right. I don't think he was actually staking out her house, just assuming that she would do something like this, and he was right. Anyone else have any ideas on this?

Maybe he watched her at PPD take the photo's and put them in her bag, maybe he did get into her house and see them, he wouldn't have left any evidence cos remember his own place didn't have his fingerprints there.

This is interesting because I always just thought he knew but without stalking her. I know that doesn't make any sense. I mean how did he know everything about the other detectives? Overhearing their chitchat at the office? But maybe he did sneak a peek into Lil's bedroom window at night. Scary! That's why he's such a great creepy character.

I've noticed something!!
I have just watched a re-run of Volunteers [season 1] and right at the very end Lilly and Scotty are in the file room. Scotty is holding the box and Lilly takes out a photo of Gerrard and the girl [forgot her name already]. Anyway, then Scotty puts the box file away and Lilly keeps the photo, walking away with it not even trying to hide it from Scotty. Coincidence do you think, or planned from then that keeping photos of victims was something that Lilly does/did???

I do remember an episode, probably this one, where Lilly did keep a photo of a victim. I guess she does do it sometimes, if it was a special case to her?

Great observation, Sonny! I just re-watched the ending montage of Volunteers to see it. She does take the photo out and sort of wistfully walks away with it.
The only thing I would say to refute the theory is that earlier in the montage we see Scotty giving one of the photographs to one of the women who associated with the victims. Then it cuts to a shot of another one of the women associates putting a framed photo of the victims on her wall. So it could be that Lilly takes the photo out because it's her turn to deliver it to another person (like Scotty does earlier in the montage.)
