" I didn't understand why Sargent Addenson was quoting thomas pain, on oure first day here but I do now. We might not be fighting the american revolution like he was but we're still fighting, fighting for the strength to keep at it, fighting for the respect of our company. and for the pride of our families, I hope to earn them all someday", that was Cadet Butler's quote

Oh the marvels of the World Wide Web! I found the rest of it!!! ;D
What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly; it is dearness only that gives everything its value.

HOLY SHIAT!!!!!
Just watching the episode right now on my computer, wow!!!!!
Stillman was Lilly's lead detective in her assault and implied "r@pe" case. I love the younger Lilly's emotion after Stillman says, "It's never too late. You just got to ask the right questions." It was such a heartfelt moment to lead to her pursuing a career in Law Enforcement.

-I usually don't like Season finales too much -Why people care too much about Lilly's private life? I like to know some of it but not every detail -Again 2005? 3 out of 6 finales are from 2005: "Joseph", "Ghost of my child" & "Into the blue"
-Music too loud -Lilly couldn't swim like that...and then walk as if anything had happened -Is that actor who played Young Paul Cooper in "Libertyville"? He looks like another person -The feeling was like surreal... Lilly looked like a zombie -MUSIC TOO LOUD!!! -EXTREMELY HUGE BLOOPER: Lilly and Scotty were walking to see Lawrence and there was a "DO NOT CROSS" sign in the door? Extremely stupid -OK. They should have hired the girl from "The woods" where they simulated the attack -Is that the same actor who played Young Stillman in "Glued"? He looks different -They used John Finn's voice instead of the original's voice? LAME! -Poor Lilly-she had that black eye -I had never felt like this: I want this episode to end! -Boring -No one congratulated her -Kate liked Addison? Boo -What a stupid murder scene -I am falling asleep -Several signs It was a dream: Lilly as a Zombie/The hand who took the drink/Vera with typewriter -One good thing: Lilly saw Kate in the end and in an special way never seen before in the show: Before the murderer was caught and like she was just walking...and before the final montage. -The parents also saw Kate -The episode is over ;D
CONCLUSION -I don't need to know every little detail about Lilly's life! -Too much personal drama like "Without a trace" -Vote: Hated it -My vote for best of the season: "Wednesday's women": Not too much personal drama. I don't need personal drama
EDIT: Ph the worse part: a dream? No!

1. Yes it was the same actor that played young Paul Cooper in "Libertyville" 2. Yes it was the same actor that played John Stillman in "Glued".
Lilly is the main character and the storyline is based around her character, so thus is why her personal storylines are important. I still give this episode the best of Season 6. I really enjoyed watching it.

It's a good feeling for me that Lilly's father was with her at the end, I know now that she isn't alone.

There were clues through out that it was a dream, once I decided to look back at the episode. Here's a list of things about the episode that seemed surreal or off to me.
- Lilly's badge sinking into the river.
- The song playing while Lilly is swimming out of the river and walking on the highway. (Got a bomb at my temple that's about to explode.)
- The car coming towards Lilly
- Lilly at the hospital and her disappearing act.
- Stillman never insists that she go home. Maybe once but, the real Stillman would have commanded her to and wouldn't have taken no for an answer.
- A lot of otherworldly noises and visuals happening.
- When Lilly is in the bathroom they made a big deal out of the leaking faucet
- Nick using the typewriter, and Nick actually doing the paper work quickly. Hurmm.
- Lilly getting cold.
- The revelation of the murder. In any other episode it would have ended then but, not in this one.
- Lilly sees the letter from her father next to that one guy yet, says nothing about him reading the letter. She just screams at him for killing the girl.
Now, here's my BIGGEST beef with this episode. If the entire thing was a dream then certain parts shouldn't have been true. Or, look at this way. All of the investigation, everything said about Kate Butler, all of Lilly's flashbacks were all dreams. In the dream Ryan confesses to the murder and that older guy was the accomplice. In real life, they were in fact the guilty ones. So, I can believe that Lilly had a prophetic dream in that regard. Or, perhaps when she was investigating before the accident, she might have thought there was something up with Ryan and that other guy but, placed it in her subconscious mind. Which then surfaced in her dream.
But then we have the other stuff. The stuff about Kate Butler. To me it's as if two scenarios are possible. The first; None of what they said about Kate was the truth and, what we have is a case of Lilly's personal life being lived through Kate in the dream. The second; All of it is true and Lilly has the supernal ability of post-cognitive dreaming. Not an impossibility but, CC seems to want to stay away from anything linked to the supernal. (Let's forget that the characters see dead people in every episode practically.)
Question: During the part where it said "There was signs that she (Kate) was assaulted." who said that to who? Was it Kate's father to Scotty and Lilly? If so, both of them already knew so, WHY repeat that information?
Final thoughts: Very Silent Hill-ish episode. This will be an episode where I'll watch it over and over and find little details all over the place. Oh, now I want to make a music video centered around this episode.
-I don't need to know every little detail about Lilly's life!
In hind site did we really LEARN anything about Lilly's personal life that we didn't know already? All I can tell is that her father is an alcoholic (who doesn't drink anymore), Lilly rode a bike, and the guy that attacked her was bald and fat.
THAT'S IT.
-MUSIC TOO LOUD!!!
You knew they were using Pearl Jam and you knew that Pearl Jam is a loud grunge band. I can understand not liking the music but to say it's "too loud"? All of us should have known that the music would be loud.

finished watching the episode.... It was amazing!! ;D If this was going to be the series finale, what a way to end it! I don't think it could have been any better than that . I feel like we finally got some closure about Lilly and not to mention the Lilly/Stillman relationship at the end of this episode. It's sweet in the end that her real father is holding her hand, but I still feel that Lilly looks up to Stillman as the "father" figure for the majority of her life. Edit: Pearl Jam is an awesome band ;D. It's right up there for me with Nirvana.

When Lilly and Vera were standing outside of Ryan's door, Look closely at Lilly. She appears to be sweating or it could be that she's wet, from being underneath water??
