I am thinking about making sequel, after this is finished. Any thoughts on this or possible baby names. I'd like to know..


sorry about this being a short chapter, but the next one will be longer with more L/S in it.


Luckily, Lilly’s father helped out with buying the baby supplies. Although Lilly was glad to have his support, she still wanted Eddie’s as well. However at Jones Tavern, Scotty wasn’t going to let him get away with what had had done to Lilly.

“ Get away Valens,” snapped Eddie. Scotty took a seat, “ I ain’t sleeping with Lil, you think I’d want her to have a broken heart, I don’t. She loves you a lot, it’s not fair to her that she’s alone and now five months pregnant.”

Eddie exhaled, “ Rush is right, I guess I got mad at her for nothing. Even took her engagement ring away, what kind of husband or father am I going to be?”

“ Just go home to her Saccardo, be there and love Lil. She needs you,” said Scotty, “ Be honest with her, Lil ain’t the type to forgive that easily.”

As Eddie now got up, he turned, “ Thanks Valens,” not feeling an urge to knock him out. When he had gotten to her apartment, Lilly stood there and crossed her arms,” Now you show up, already missed one sonogram; oh don’t worry the twins are fine. Like you even care about them or me, you know I’ve had it with your attitude and apologies Saccardo.”

He could see her anger and frustration in her eyes, “ I was wrong, for believing something that wasn’t even true; and I’m sorry. Just don’t know if I can handle all of this; might not be the husband or father that you're expecting me to be.”

That's the drama in this story and part of the storyline, showing that even their relationship isn't perfect.



Lilly moved closer, seeing that they both were quite scared of becoming parents; especially of twins. She also knew that he was trying to make things work out between them, “ So I guess the engagement is off right?”

“ Not exactly, but we can hold off getting engaged until after the twins are born. I think I may have rush into proposing so quickly,” seeing now the anger in her eyes, “ I didn’t say that it wasn’t going to ever happen, just not right now.”

Tears now streamed down both of her cheeks, “ I hate you, you asked me to marry you right before I had Natalie. Now you think that you can just take that back, it doesn’t work like that. Being engaged meant something to me, it didn’t meant that we had to automatically get married.”

Eddie knew that by taking the ring away, had completely broken her heart, “ I didn’t take it away for that reason, I’m having it altered a bit;”which wasn’t a lie, “ You don’t believe me, but it’s the truth. If I didn’t love you, why would I even be standing here. I love you Lilly.”

She scowled,” You’re only saying it because I’m just happened to be pregnant with twins, and you feel sorry.”

“ Look Lil, you want proof, here,” thrusting the bill at her,” I wanted you to have something nice.”

Lilly automatically and without thinking now punched the wall harder; reacting in pain, “ That isn’t the point Saccardo, you said we didn’t even have any money. So now you do and decide to alter the engagement ring, while I could be using that money to buy stuff for the twins. Your selfish and I hate you!”

Somehow she had broken a few of her fingers, as Lilly grabbed her hand, “Just go, I don’t need your lies anymore.”


Just then the phone rang, as the phone now dropped out Lilly's hand, " My father's in the hospital."

Lilly immediately drove all the way to New Jersey, despite her two broken fingers. Her father had just come out of surgery, due to having appendicitis. The next day, while out doing a drug bust, Eddie had been wounded but his injuries weren’t life threatening. Between both him and her father, Lilly was practically wiped, not to mention pregnant as well.

She wanted to sleep but found that she couldn’t, plus now both she and Scotty weren’t even speaking to each other; after their latest fight. Lilly hated when he was stubborn but however, during one of their usual fights at the office, she leaned over grabbing her abdomen in pain.


Scotty was right at her side, even in the ambulance. He knew that all this stress wasn’t good especially for the babies, as soon as Lilly was wheeled into the emergency room; Eddie came flying down, “What happened?”

“We were fighting; Lil then leaned over in pain. You started this whole thing; she doesn’t deserve to be this much stressed out. I went with her during a sonogram, Lil cried during them. “

Eddie knew exactly why, but as soon as he was allowed to go into her room, he did. Inside, Lilly’s eyes flickered open as he took a hold of her hand,” Are you alright?”

“Yeah, just stomach pains. The twins are fine, one of them is kicking, and”her voice was groggy, “ as she drew in a breath, “ I let myself get this way.”

He looked down for a second, “ I’m sorry, for everything, “ kissing her lips, “ I love you, and I should have acted the way that I did.”

Just then Eddie opened up the box, “ Lilly Anne Rush, will you marry me?”, he asked. Lilly smiled before giving a nod, as he then slid the ring down her finger, before kissing her.

For now, Lilly closed her eyes; needed her sleep. Outside, Scotty already went back to her apartment, where the rest of the squad had gathered. They had banded together, to make her a beautiful nursery without her knowledge; which was all Eddie’s idea.

ONE MONTH LATER

After being surprised by this beautiful nursery, Lilly started attended a pre-natal yoga class. She found that it calmed her nerves, yet relaxed her. On the other hand, Scotty grew extremely protective over her. He didn’t want anything to stress Lilly out, yet he was on her nerves 24-7.

Just after coming out of her yoga class, she practically bumped into Scotty,” What is with you, get a life Valens.”

“ Sorry just thought that you might need some company on the way home. My folks have Natalie for the weekend.”

Lilly rolled her eyes, but instead walked away. Scotty still followed, “ Alright, what’s up with you now Lil. I’ve had it with you treating me like garbage. “

He was at a total loss, “ I Thought we had something together Lil. When we kissed, didn’t you feel like we belonged together?”

She sighed softly, “. Scotty you’re not the type to be married, you and I both know that.”

That was the truth, Scotty personally didn’t want to be married but now having a daughter; he knew that he had to do what was right for Natalie,” I will always love you Lil.”

“That’s fine, just don’t text that or say that again. Saccardo isn’t thrilled when you say that, he already had suspect that we were having an affair.”

Scotty chuckled, before growing serious,” I can’t be doing that, can’t be that type anymore. Yet I’m still not ready to date,” he then glanced over at her stomach,” In two months I’ll be an uncle, just worry that Saccardo might break your heart again.”

Lilly knew that Scotty was just looking out for her own well being,” My father’s already given him quite a speech, you just need to worry about Natalie.” The next thing that she knew, she was over at his apartment, while the two stood over the crib; watching the toddler sleep
.
Scotty’s arms were around her waist, before leading her into the living room. From there the two sat down on the couch, as he handed her a gift; inside was a lavish baby book, “ I thought you might want one, to put the pictures of them into.”

“ I love it,” as Lilly gave him a hug,” thanks Scotty.”

Being pregnant with twins, was harder than Lilly had every imagined. Especially with her stomach growing bigger daily, but yet one night as she climbed into bed; beside Eddie, he too noticed it as well. While now her head against his shoulder, Lilly felt relaxed for once,” Quiet night, huh?”

“ Heard you are already planning this wedding,” trying to make some sort of conversation. Lilly shook her head, “ I’m not, got too much still to do, before they arrive. At least they are sleeping now, didn’t get any sleep last night.”

Eddie then began rubbing her stomach; soothing their unborn babies. It had seemed as if the night would remain quiet, but that wasn’t going to happen.


Just as Lilly snuggled into his shoulder, she breathed out; tying to find some sleep, “I’m starved,” she announced. Of course he sighed; not wanting to get out of bed.


Nonetheless, Lilly proceeded to get out, but was stopped by him,” Relax, I’ll go downstairs and get you something,” when he came up she let out a sigh,” Look just eat it, “ handing her a box of Oreo Cookies and a glass of milk.


Once back in bed, Eddie took a cookie, before noticing that Lilly was staring at him, “ What, I’m entitled to eat one, I am the dad to be.”

Somehow after the two practically devoured the whole box of cookies, Lilly was once again snuggled against him. It had seemed to be quiet until she spoke again,” I’m cold now,” as he covered her with a blanket.

Throughout the night, Lilly complained about being both cold and hot, but by the morning; Eddie was already downstairs; drinking some coffee
“Morning,” as he then kissed her, “ You feeling better this morning?”
Lilly nodded, “ Yeah, their kicking, “ her hand now rubbing her stomach, “ Plus I feel pretty fat,” she added.

Eddie put down his coffee cup,” I don’t think that you are Lilly,” stroking the side of her face. She was radiantly glowing, which was very evident. On the table, he then grabbed a bridal magazine off, “ Seems as if you are already planning our wedding.”

She smiled, before kissing him again, “ I have two things to look forward to.”

The next night, Lilly was watching Natalie, while Scotty went out to Jones Tavern for; First Thursdays. Eddie watched seeing how good his fiancé was with her niece, knowing that in two months; they would both be parents themselves.

For the most part, the one year old was quite happy playing with Lilly. What had amazed him the most was how, Lilly was able to chase a one year old, while very much pregnant.



Later on that night, Scotty returned, seeing his daughter’s head resting on her aunt’s huge stomach. He smiled softly, while glanced at Eddie, “Still can’t get over that one year ago, she was growing inside of Lil.”

“She gets a big kick out of feeling the babies,” Eddie adding, “They were kicking a lot before,”

Scotty shook his head, before sitting down beside his partner and daughter. He could see what a great mother, she was going to become. Just then Natalie noticed him,” Daddy,” she called out softly.

“I think I better take her home,” he whispered, seeing that now his daughter was now fast asleep on Lilly’s stomach. Very carefully, Scotty took Natalie into his arms, “They kicking Lil?”

She shook her head,” One has the hiccups, the other’s stirring,” as Eddie helped her up off the couch, “I’m getting so fat!”

Scotty chuckled, as he glanced down at Lilly’s stomach, “Weren’t as big when you carried Natalie,” he commented. She rolled her eyes,” That’s because I was only pregnant with one kicking baby, now I have two.”

He then thanked them before leaving, as Eddie now closed the door behind. Turning slightly, as Lilly made her way into the kitchen; he followed before wrapping both of his arms around her waist.

Lilly smiled while feeling his lips kissing on side of her neck,” You are some romantic, Saccardo?”

“C’mon I’ll make you something, you need to sleep. We’re not going to get much once they are born,” he said, looking extremely tired, “What I spoke to Valens, wanted to know what we’re in for.”

She shook her head but knew that he had clearly spoken to her partner,” Yeah, but Scotty didn’t mention the 100 plus times he had called me, when Natalie was just born.”

Eddie grabbed a bottle of water out of the fridge, “Scotty’s better off being a single dad, though. Some guys aren’t meant to be married. I on the other hand, am,” looking into her eyes.

After going upstairs and climbing into bed together, Lilly rested her head on Eddie’s shoulder, “ You nervous about being a dad?”

“ I think we both are, didn’t expect getting two babies at once,” as he let out a sigh, “ I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

In the next few days, Lilly was in and out of baby stores. She wanted the nursery to be perfect, yet she spent more than she had wanted to.

Upon coming home, Eddie appeared to be pacing, “ What’s wrong?”
“ They wanted me to go undercover, I told them that your due to give birth soon. I didn’t take it, I’m not missing the birth of our kids, or leaving you alone to raise them,” he said, “I’m not about to leave my family.”

Lilly knew that they needed all the money that they could, but yet at the same time knew it was better that Eddie remained here with her, “ So what happens If they told you that you need to go?”

“ I’m not, I already put in my paternity leave awhile back, “ knowing that his family meant more to him than work at this point,” Not taking the chance of having Valens stealing you away from me.”

She chuckled from his little joke,” I overspent, just want them to have everything, that I didn’t have,” knowing that they both had promised one another not to spend so much.

Eddie now was pretty concerned about their spending, “ You have to stop Lilly, the nursery has everything they need so far.”

When Lilly attended a surprise baby shower, she had found it to be extremely lavish. It wasn’t being thrown by Eddie but from her father instead. That part made her become extremely emotional, yet it was also a wedding shower as well. However, Lilly eyed the table which was full of gifts, which she was dying to open.

Looking around, she saw that the place was overlooking the water. Just then Scotty came over, carrying Natalie in his arms, “Hey, “giving a smile,” My baby shower wasn’t this lavish,” he teased.

She gave a small smile, but taking her niece into her arms,” Hey you,” kissing Natalie’s cheek, “You being good girl?”

“She’s always good,” as Natalie reached for her father. Once Scotty had her back in his arms, he held her protectively, while speaking softly in Spanish to her. Lilly smiled upon hearing that,” You’re a very good dad Scotty.”

He knew that he was, “You made me a dad Lil, and you carried her nine months. I think she that she was wanted and loved even then,” as Scotty then proceeded to kiss Natalie’s cheek again,” I don’t know what my life would have been without her.”

Lilly at this point became extremely emotional, from what he had said, “Sorry,” she apologized. Scotty gave her a hug, “I understand, I just never really thanked you.”

Between all the food, Lilly couldn’t get over just how beautiful everything was. When everyone was told to take their seats, she saw down on a lavish chair next to Eddie.

“ We’re here to celebrate two things, the birth of my grandchildren and my daughter; Lilly’s future wedding,” her father announced,” I remember the day that Lilly was born, she nearly took my breath away, I knew even back then that she was going to be beautiful.”

Eddie smiled at his fiancé, “Let’s open the wedding gifts now,” seeing how excited she was. While opening each gift, Lilly was surprised to find lots of cooking stuff, which would come in handy; since they were going to be a family of four.

Then it skipped straight to her opened up baby gifts, which clearly turned out to be a fun thing. Kat also seemed to be pretty excited, “So do you know what you’re having?”
“Besides them being twins,” Eddie said chiming in, “No we haven’t found out yet.”

Just then Natalie pointed to a present on the table, as Lilly then picked it up, “I think she’s pretty excited over having two cousins to play with.”
Scotty smiled,” She helped me picked this one out,” seeing Lilly now opened up the gift, inside were two outfits; one purple and the other one yellow.”

“Pink and Yellow, hmm. Did you find out Lil?” asked Eddie. She shook her head, “No I want to be surprised, and I think Scotty’s predicting that the twins are girls.”

“I think they are, I could be wrong,” he answered before Lilly’s hands went to her stomach, trying to soothe her twin babies.

Upon opening more presents, she grew more excited for the births of her children. It was making Eddie feel nervous, if not more now. In fact he got up and went outside, before Scotty soon had followed, “Nervous huh?”

“Yeah, wasn’t expecting Lilly to be having twins. I guess I’m nervous about being a dad.”

Scotty could completely understand,” Natalie taught be how to be more responsible, and how to love. I still think about her mother, but I know that she would have been proud of me.”

He knew that Natalie was everything to him,” If you need any help, I told Lil that I’ll be there for her.”

Once the two men went back inside, they heard the sound of Natalie giggling. Coming closer, Scotty saw exactly why,” You feeling the babies kicking? He asked. Lilly nodded as he also placed his hand there, remembering how he had once felt his daughter doing that.

In fact it made him a big emotional, which was noticed. Soon as the one year old ran off to find something, Scotty then held Lilly up, “You look like you’re ready to pop, any day now.”

Outside, the two strolled along the beach together, “Getting all emotional in there, never seen you act this way.”

Scotty took her hand,” I was thinking about how once Natalie was growing inside of you. How now I have a healthy, beautiful daughter.”

“I guess the lab messing up was a good thing, gave you a chance to be a dad,” she turned seeing that Scotty had clearly changed in a year, since becoming a dad.

Just then Lilly felt hungry as the two went back inside to eat, Eddie immediately let her over to the table, and “He kiss you?”

“No are we starting this again?” she questioned while filling up her plate. While in the middle of eating, the two were listening to a story that her father was telling about her as a baby. Lilly did feel embarrassed especially since her whole squad was in the room, including Vera.

Then Scotty now spoke up, “I just want to say, that both you and Saccardo are meant to be together. I see that he clearly cares for you, and I know you will be a very good mother.”

Lilly blushed, before both she and Eddie shared a small kiss. At the end, they had a ton of stuff to put into their cars, luckily her father helped out. Once at home, she ended up falling asleep; leaving Eddie to bring in everything.

Two Months Later…

One night as Eddie was working a bit late, Lilly was experiencing painful contractions. She knew that she had to get to a hospital; it was just luck that he happened to be walking in, right at this very moment. He could hear the sound of her breathing, before taking notice, almost immediately he drove frantically down to the hospital, as she continued breathing in and out.

“Breathe Lil,” he said encouraging her.

Right away, she was whisked upstairs. The doctors knew that it wouldn’t be that long before the arrival of their twins. As the hours dawn on by, Lilly was now in the middle of giving birth. Eddie was holding her hand tightly, knowing that this wasn’t an easy thing.

Fifteen minutes later, a sound of a newborn’s first cries pierced the room, “It’s a boy,” the doctor announced, as Eddie peered over to see his baby son. He smiled in awe, over how tiny he was. Lilly too was extremely happy, before ten minutes later their second baby was born, “ It’s a girl,” which had her crying out in happiness.

The doctor now placed her daughter into her arms, then her son. Lilly immediately kissed them, while crying softly, “I love you both, so much,” she whispered, seeing both of her babies each resting against her heart.

Eddie went outside to announce to everyone, but he was clearly a very happy new father. Once entering his fiancés hospital room, he slowly took their daughter into his arms,” She’s beautiful.”

Lilly smiled at him,” Yes she is, I think he looks just as handsome as you,” peering down at her baby boy,” I think I need to give you a name; little man.”

She thought for a moment, “How about Nicholas Paul Saccardo?” she said. Eddie nodded, before kissing her on the cheek, “ I’m proud of you, gave me two beautiful kids.’

The more that he looked at his daughter, the more he thought of a good name for her, “ We could call her Abigail Nicole ,” seeing that the name would suit her. Lilly nodded in agreement, “ That’s an old name, but she looks like an Abigail.”

Just then Abigail cried out softly, as Eddie began to slowly rock her in his arms. He absolutely was cherishing this moment, while Lilly was listening to the sound of Nicholas breathing softly, against her, “ You look so much like your daddy,” she whispered, while feeling happy to finally be a mother.

When Scotty came in with Natalie, he noticed how Lilly was radiantly glowing. Peering over he smiled, before Natalie handed her a flower.
“ This is Nicholas,” showing them, her newborn son, as Eddie moved closer,” This is Abigail.” Just as Scotty leaned in to see his niece, Eddie got very protective over her.

Lilly chuckled softly, “ Let me hold Abby,” as Eddie gave her a look,” I think she wants to be near her brother.”

“ She was with him the whole night months,” Eddie said while kissing his daughter’s cheek. Very slowly, Lilly placed Nicholas into Natalie’s arms, “ You like him?”

“ Tiny baby,” she said, while kissing his cheek. Scotty was sitting behind her, but made sure that his nephew’s head was supported. He too was thrilled be an uncle to two beautiful kids,” Nicholas has a bit of you, Lil.”

As Eddie placed Abigail into her mother’s arms, he saw that his son was getting fussy. Being a good father, he gently took in him his arms, “ while speaking to him.

Lilly chuckled in amusement, “Speaking in baby talk there Saccardo?”
“ Problem, Rush. I’m bonding with my son.”


One Year Later

It had been just a month since the wedding, but now the two had just finished celebrating the twins 1st birthday. Eddie’s arms were around Lilly’s waist, as they watched their children sleeping, while downtown Scotty was also watching his daughter fast asleep in her bed.

He knew from the first moment that Lilly had informed him, Scotty knew just how precious Natalie meant to him. Glancing over he saw Elisa there, smiling at him before she disappeared. It hurt to see that their daughter would grow up without a mother. Yet Lilly was the closest thing that she had to one, even though she was just an aunt.

However the two would become even closer, as their kids got older. Would it turn into love or just a strong friendship, for right now Scotty kissed his daughter as he continued to watch her sleep.
