Welcome back! First off, I'm really glad you guys finally got your jobs back, too many people have suffered during these 3 months not knowing when or if the strike was going to end. And secondly, thanks a lot for sharing some insight onto the actors, it's always interesting to read what's behind our favourite characters.

"Even more handsome in person than on-screen (!)" How is this possible? Seriously, though, welcome back, InsideR! We're so glad the strike is over!

Thanks for the great insight, InsideR! It's always fun to learn more about the wonderful folks behind Cold Case. It sounds like you guys have a great down-to-earth cast.

I like knowing a little more about the cast, thanks for that.
Just wondering what Danny did to get Jeremy back.

Jeremy. The class clown - he once distributed phony copies of TV Guide with a cover showing Danny dressed as Kathryn (Danny got him back with a little surprise in his trailer...) Jeremy would be Vera if Vera were 100 times smarter, more sophisticated, and self-aware. Ha! I would have loved to have seen that. And I second that question, how did Danny get him back? I'm really glad you and the other crew members of CC are going to be alright now, that was truly amazing of the actors. Stories like that just restore your faith in humanity, don't they? Looking forward to your future spoilers!

The best I thought was Scotty's French actor; he had that certain cockiness about him. ADA Thomas and Scotty are in suspended animation... You mean, like in a freezer? Together?? Welcome back, InsideR!

For those of you who remember Bobby Caffey from Third Watch, the actor who played him, Bobby Cannavale will be on the upcoming episode called Bad Reputation and might be coming around more often after that. He plays a brash, uncouth, funny, and very smart undercover detective who ends up being awfully friendly with...someone. Check it out. -R

Thom. Unlike his brooding, older/wiser on-screen character, Thom is vivacious and filled with gleeful energy. He has a fine singing voice and went to school for music. He was also, at one time, a country western DJ and still keeps up with the c & w scene. I'm guessing that was what inspired the little tidbit in "Static" about Jeffries being a country DJ. ;D Speaking of tidbits, anything else you can give us as season 6 gears up? And just out of curiosity, what was YOUR favorite episode and why? (And if anyone at the show is interested, the wiki is still coming along)

Sorry I have been gone so long, folks. My computer died. My lovely husband bought me a new one, but, of course, it didn't remember my password...and neither did I. A lot of trial and error later and I'm back. So, do you like Saccardo? I do. He's here just for a couple more episodes then I guess it all depends on the success or failure of Cupid (the show that Bobby Cannavale is starring in). As for a favorite show, that's too hard. Just about everything written by Veena is great because of her emotional oomph and sheer inventiveness: Runner, Fly Away, The Letter, The Plan, The House, Mind Hunters... But I also loved Best Friends, Beautiful Little Fool, and Rampage - although it creeped me out. But if you were to say, "What about X?" I'd probably say, "And that one, too!" We're finally going o hear Tracy Thoms singing voice on the show. A week from Sunday, Oct 12, she sings the closing montage song. I haven't heard it yet, but everyone says it's marvelous. -R

I do I like Saccardo, I think this is the best guy they had ever paired Lilly up with. Glad that Tracie gets to sing, but what about Danny as well??

So, do you like Saccardo? I do. Eh. I'm still a little annoyed by how he was introduced to us in "Bad Reputation". Careful how you phrase this here.... You're going to give RichE a heart attack!

I am really excited to hear Tracie Sing! I'll have to get the song. Will it be offered through iTunes or such? There is only one Tracie song in iTunes. But the awesomeness of it makes up for the lack of songs!

Thanks for the info InsideR. Will John be directing any other episodes or are any of the other actors going to be directing?

I just saw a vid on myspace with Thom Barry at a benefit for autism. He mentioned that his daughter is a therapist who works with autistic children and a friend of his designs rooms for children with autism that help ease the transition into the "real" world. I wonder if this at all inspired the episode "Saving Sammy". Did it, InsideR?

I don't know if Thom's personal experience contributed to Saving Sammy. The story cores usually come from the writers who are both proud of their turf and restricted by legal policy from taking outside ideas. As for John's directorial turn, it went well and I think he'd like to do it again, but who knows when. I haven't heard about any other cast emembers asking to direct. -R
