It could be in self defense too, if you think about it, it already sort of is. Remember, this is a woman who's had a romanticized view of justice for a long time. Then her attacker is released on the streets, and the justice system won't do anything about it.
Maybe she won't kill him, but she'll be taking it by the horns so to speak.

Mind you, he does have a trial date, so crucifying the justice system 100% would be overdoing it on Lily's part. I just don't want her to go down Agent Jack Malone's route on Without A Trace. By the end,Malone was nothing more than a bully with a badge who viewed all the wrong things he did as justified. I just don't want to see that happen to Lily.

Which is eight months away from now, to a victim (admitting or not) eight months is too long. Chances are, again, if she does kill him it'll be out of self defense and revenge.

Even if Lil kill Moe in self defense, for her whole life she will question herself if she did it because she had to or because she wanted to... And with her character? She will drop to depression... Ending up killing Moe won't be a good thing in any ways... I don't think that she will ever justify herself fairly or not. She will get the aknowledge that she'll have dropped to the level of the offenders... (Jack Malone had done too many things out of the rules, professionnally or, mainly, ethically, even from the beginning of the show so it was logical to get worse. His character is too far from Lilly Rush's.) As for the photos... Dealing with the "Saccardo thing" included hot scenes finally...!

(Jack Malone had done too many things out of the rules, professionally or, mainly, ethically, even from the beginning of the show so it was logical to get worse. His character is too far from Lilly Rush's.) Agreed but towards the end of the series (season six and seven), Jack Malone went beyond doing things that were unethical (umm, sleeping with a subordinate?!) to becoming a bully with a badge. We've seen on shows where people commit crimes such as murder and torture because in their minds, the ends justify the means. That's exactly the road Malone was headed on. He punched and dunked one suspect repeatedly, nearly strangled a man who wouldn't give up his brother, and punched a man right in the face. But it Malone's eyes, it was acceptable because he found the missing person in each case because of it. Never mind the fact his actions ensured these cases would get thrown out and the perps left to go unpunished. He got the results that he wanted, all there is to it. I don't think the writers of CC will be as foolish as to make Rush someone unlikeable. And if she does kill Moe, even in self-defense, unless he's stalking her, creating a scernario by herself where she'd have to kill him... I just don't think they'll go there...

(Ugh..! I'm happy that I stopped watching WaT in season 3...) Malone hadn't only slept with a subordinate but he was married with two kids at the same time... And always he had a tendency of bending the rules to achieve something, sometimes only for his own profit, remember the finale of season 1 or even when he covered Sam for the murder she had done when she was young... I know that this is too far from hitting a suspect (I really didn't know all these details, I had a blurred image to tell the truth) but he had the habit of neglecting the musts.
Lilly is so sticked to the rules. However, the things that will follow will show how far she can get. If she starts behave weirdly, then, yes, maybe she can escalate and finally kill Moe and justify it exactly like you state it.

They could go down that route.. and I think she may consider it... but I still think she won't. I think the writers and KM have more respect for her character than that.

Found this small article (www.spoilertv.blogspot.com) CC Ask Ausiello articleQuestion: I am really confused. Did I miss a scoop that Tracie Thoms was leaving Cold Case? I liked her character and enjoyed how Miller was starting to get to know ADA Bell. Is she off the show for good? —Paige
Ausiello: No, not for good. Thoms’ episode order was cut back this season, so Miller will be missing in spots. But a Cold Case insider assures me that she remains a series regular and we’ll see her again “soon enough.”

But a Cold Case insider assures me that she remains a series regular and we’ll see her again “soon enough.”Nothing we really didn't already know. Although we're only a couple of episodes, this season seems to be shaping up to be a season of multi-episode arcs. We have Lilly and Moe, Lilly and her dad and his family, Lilly and Saccardo, Scotty and his parents, Stillman and Doherty, Vera and his health, detectives getting reassigned, etc. There's a lotta sh!t going on right now and I gotta say I like it! Maybe the writers don't expect there to be another season after this, so they're going for broke and using every idea they got while they still can. Never once in the series have they had NEARLY this many arcs going on at once. I think it's just great to see so much stuff going on in the characters' lives besides just questioning suspects (who, so many times before, seemed to live so much more interesting lives than the detectives). Do I think all these arcs will carry on to the end of the season? Nope. I think if they put Moe's trial in May, that's probably a sign that he's not going away for a while. I suspect the Cooper family will also continue to the end of the season, just like Paul did last season. Not sure about this thing with Scotty's mom. It could just play out over a couple of episodes and be done with it, as was the case with the story with Scotty's brother (speaking of which, it would be nice if he came up in conversation once, even if the actor's too busy these days playing an immortal on "Lost" ;D ) Not sure how long Saccardo's gonna be with us (Bobby Cannavale can't be cheap to hire, that's for sure!) I really hope Doherty sticks around for a while, partly because we've really never had a boss for Stillman, partly because I REALLY like the actor. The thing is, I can't see any way to get Miller back (which we know they inevitably will) without getting rid of Doherty. Now don't get me wrong, Doherty deserves some comeuppance, and we know he's gonna get it. I just don't want it to come too soon, when this storyline has so much potential. (That and I'm still holding out hope for a return of Bill Duke as Doherty's boss, Councilman Boone). Now the cases thus far have been a little underwhelming, particularly "The Crossing", (No "Forever Blue" or "Mind Hunters" yet this season) but the non-case stuff has been so compelling, that it really doesn't bother me that much. I look forward to the other stuff.

I do hope that Bobby Cannavale sticks around, I really like the way that he portrays Saccardo. Besides I don't feel in this one that Rush is about to push him away, like she did with all the others. This season is good, but I feel that it's lacking something.
What I'm really looking forward to tonight is Lilly meeting Finn; finally Lilly meeting some more of her family.

I loved that particular part the most last night. I am just kinda sad there was no Eddie in the episode, but oh well... this way we'll have him for longer. I agree with you on the Lillyardo thing, she seems much more in sync with this bf of hers than she has ever been before. I really hope they don't break 'em up - if they need to gt him out of the show, he can just stay undercover, so we can at least imagine they are still together ;D

A question for Ausiello, found this on www.spoilertv.comAsk Ausiello CC QuestionQuestion: How about some scoop on Cold Case? —Cady Ausiello: Like her character, Kathryn Morris is spending a lot of time thinking about the past, even if she’s glad to still be around in the present. Cold Case’s close brush with network death (before eventually getting renewed for another season) has her feeling “a little more sentimental this year,” she says.
“Everyone is waxing poetic about the good times. ‘Remember when you were sick with the flu in season two and I brought you chicken soup and we became best friends?’ ‘Remember that one time when I ripped a Dolce & Gabbana suit by walking by a rusty desk in homicide the first day they let me wear it? I’m sorry.’” Regarding the possibility of an eighth season, she says, “I think we are optimistic that we could go on as long as the audience wants us to. It isn’t like we will run out of crime in Philadelphia.”
