I'm glad to see that Lilly's meeting her family, she needs that more than love. To me that's a piece that's always been missing from her character. Just hope that we don't see a reapperence of Frankie this season.

The only thing that bothers me is that in season 7 it seems that we'll have too much of the "family thing"...! Count down:
Scotty's mother + father + Lil's half-brother + her dad (in great possibility)
and this only in the very first episodes...!

TV love interests tend to drop off the face of the earth after they break up with whatever main character they were dating, no matter what job they have. Aside from his one appearance in "The Badlands", Kite disappeared pretty quick after he and Lilly split up. Ditto for ADA Alexandra Thomas once Scotty gave her the stink-eye at the end of "Sabotage". I suspect there won't be anymore cases that need help from the ID unit in season 7. (I'd rather have a return of people like Louie, Frannie, Gil Sherman, etc. anyway.) |

That would be nice, and what about Anna Mays from West, We haven't seen her since S3. Indeed. Anna Mayes. The producers apparently got in in their heads around 2005 to add a second female Homicide detective, starting with Lennie DeSalle in "The Woods" (whom, I suspect, was meant to be recurring or a regular but, for whatever reason, didn't pan out), then "Josie chippy" Sutton, and finally Kat Miller. Not that I don't like Miller, but I wonder why they didn't just simply have Anna join Homicide, given the fact that she made no secret of her desire to join. Was Robin Weigert too expensive or unavailable (or uninterested) perhaps? |

To be honest, I think they seem to be going to the "single artist" well a bit too often now. Could they be running out of period music they haven't used yet? |

I highly doubt it, they probably are doing it to honor the great musicians from the past. They aren't doing a single artist episode too often, there were three in Season 6. The way that I see it, it's more expensive to have a one artist episode than mulitiples. |
