Aw that's too bad. I don't get people. How does abusing that feature help anything? Seriously.
Anyway, I've read both your stories and I'm gonna make an account with FF.net so I can review.

One more thing.. I know this has probably already been discussed in the episode thread a looooooooong time ago but I was just able to see the hallway scene from 'The Red and the Blue' again (THANKS RICHE! ) and got to thinkin - well technically I already was thinkin' this the first time I saw it but I wasn't here then so I'm posting now lmao - In that scene, it seems to be that Scotty doesn't like the idea that Lilly thinks of him as a player. I like how he acts embarrassed and bashful when she catches him coming out of the hotel room. It's as if she's the one person he doesn't want to make a bad impression with and the one person he doesn't want to be judging him -especially in that type of situation. It could also be (obviously) connected to his history with Christina but I really like that the writer's wrote that scene in on purpose. What I mean is, it wasn't really necessary to have that dialogue in there in order to advance the plot of the case but they added that scene anyway to give us some character insight and possibly some character development. Me likey. Basically that was a long winded way of saying: I want to see more of those types of scenes!

I don't know but I deleted three of them, since one user made a nasty comment that was directed at me. Anyways, now all of my stories are just all L/S. Three of them were about Lilly and Mr. Kitty Donuts (aka. Joseph)... I'm still working on the story ' A family Life' a great L/S married fanfic..

lsr - I posted the scene from "The Red and the Blue" over at You Tube after it aired. It's a really cute scene. I'm not an L/S fan, but I will say that I have always thought that Scotty carried a torch for Lilly. It was evident the first time he met her back in "Love Conquers Al" and it's still evident today. Maybe it's just the chemistry between the actors, but there's always been a slight hint of feelings stronger than friendship, especially for Scotty. The funny thing is, I think that these two would be perfect for one another if their situation were different (i.e. they weren't professional partners). Of course, Scotty getting with Lil's sister (a possible manifestation of his feelings for Lil??) sorta spoiled any future for these two. Will her shooting bring them closer? It only seems natural, but I'm not sure in what capacity. The more interesting question for me, though, was the show implying anything in those closing scenes of the finale? I know that Naj has brought this up in various threads, and I think that she and others could be right. There was something about that "Hey" that implied a new sort of closeness for these two. Scotty's determination here (and in "The Woods") to get to Lilly was what any partner would do, right? Then why wasn't it one of the other detectives? It was specifically Scotty. The ending song made for a bitter-sweet juxtaposition of the lyrics and beat with the horrid images of Lilly shot and bleeding, but did it also make a statement ("You have stolen my heart")? The chorus was played over a worried Scotty. I don't know. Perhaps, it was just the show toying with everyone or just a bunch of coincidences, but it did feel different to me than say that cute hotel hallway scene in "The Red and the Blue." Were the events in "Stalker" meant to foreshadow a shift in the relationship of these two characters? Probably not, but it's interesting to discuss.

Maybe the writers were trying maybe think that Lilly and Scotty were going to get together. But at the end of Stalker when Scotty was holding her, it looked as if his lips were kissing her nose.
I do love them together but it would ruin the show completely. That happened with the x-files and it lost viewers that way. I think at this point they are going to grow closer to each other, Lilly needs him more as a close friend. Love might not be a good thing, cause it would ruin the friendship they had if in fact it didn't work out. Maybe the two don't want to go that way, knowing that it can destroy their friendship that way..

Hi TV Fan! Sorry I'm late replying (was out watching fireworks lol). Anyway, I wanted to comment on your post because I, too, think it's an extremely interesting angle they took in the finale. As an all-out self-admitted shipper, I'm definitely under the impression (or at least this is what I want to believe ) that the song and the 'feel' of "Stalker" was foreshadowing for next season on the part of the producers/writers. Everything just seemed too coincidental that Scotty was the one that was singled out when it came to Lilly in this episode. First finding out about her mother, then being the one that was called when she needed help; being there to get emotional when she was shot, and finally the punctuation at the end of the sentence was the song sequence when he again was isolated from the rest, pacing in front of her room. That's much too structured to be an accident. The only thing we differ on is whether or not they can "make it work" - I honestly don't think it would ruin the show as some people seem to think. I think many non-shippers (or people who are hesitant when it comes to tv couples) think that shippers want the whole shebang to turn into an hour-long mushy love theme. That's not it at all. I want the show to remain as it is just with that added element on the side. It doesn't have to take over the show and I think if it is handled properly it can work without affecting the quality. Personally, I did not start watching CC for S&L... I just happened (this season in fact) to start to see more than friendship between them. I've been picking up little hints here and there and the finale just clinched it. I also agree that we've been able to see more insight into what Scotty feels rather than Lilly. And I love that the writer's have written it this way because it does seem more realistic. Lilly has been hurt before (many times before) and on top of Scotty's whole mess with her sister, I can see Lilly being the one to hold back. I am just hoping that the fact that Scotty almost lost Lilly will set the ball in motion for him to come to the realization that his feelings are deeper than friendship (because I'm not certain he's aware of it at this point). lsr - I posted the scene from "The Red and the Blue" over at You Tube after it aired. It's a really cute scene. Aw I know. I love it. And there is another incident where it was NOT an accident that Scotty ended up drawing the short straw and being the one to head down south with Lilly. Of all the other characters they could have chosen to have in that position, it was Scotty whom it ended up being (and of course the hallway scene ensued thereafter). I guess we'll have to wait and see but my fingers are crossed ;D @ LII2 - I have to disagree with you about why X-Files started to turn for the worse. There were many many factors that occurred all around the same time that affected how the writer's (and Chris Carter) were writing the show. I won't go into it all in this thread but I don't think you can say that it was a definitive "because M&S got together" that they show went sour. I also have to agree with ruda - as big a shipper as I am, I don't think he was kissing her nose. I've seen it a few ( ) times now and I think he just rest his head against her forehead. I can totally see why you'd think it though, LII2!

thank you and about The X Files... it was THE BEST show ever! now it's classical scfi and many people still love it [like I do]. last season was poor - yeah, and ya know why? because David Duchovny leaves the show! without Mulder and his cosmic ideas The X Files was not The X Files. he was the soul of the show...

And let's not forget the way Scotty reacts when ADA Thomas tries to console him. He had this look like, "Keep your hands off of me."

@trb- I saw that also, Scotty clearly loves Lilly and is concerned for her.
I think he blames himself for not saving her sooner

I have to admit that the Lilly and Scotty pairing is growing on me. Now I have to be honest in saying that I'm still holding out for Ray and Lilly. I've always been the type to go for the extreme opposite pairings. (fire and water...yeah.)
*coughs* But the Lilly and Scotty thing does have possibility. I also have to give major kudos to you gals for actually shipping a pairing that actually makes sense. I've been in several fandoms where two characters are hooked up, and in the canon they do not go together. The reasons for pairing them together are so out there and stupid it's not even funny.
...I so need to go to bed. Stupid meeting at 2pm today.

Notice that Scotty says: "Hey" in that scene in Red White and Blue! Anyone catch that? Ties into Stalker. You know I have to personally admit (and this is hard to do) since I've never even cared for the Scotty character but someone (veena?) has written Scotty in a way in Season 4 that finally made me like him so much more. And whether or not they are toying with L/S I'm becoming interested. Now I doubt they will go there because they said they wouldn't but that was when Meredith was involved. In this case less may go a long way for those that like L/S and what a great time for them to throw out this bone. Could someone post the Love Conquers Al clip on you tube to make a comparison? I guess I never noticed it.

IMO we can't say he loves her. he's just extremely worried about her. she's one of his best friends who lost her mom and had bad childhood... her life was never perfect. and she's a woman. very... thin and pale woman who's hurting inside. she has always strong masks on her face and when he saw her broken he didn't know how he should react. he wanted to be her support. she deserve it, but it's not love I think. not yet of course
The Reverend Bizarre yeah, I love the way how he look at her ;D
