Lilly's got so many great lines and sarcastic come-backs, I thought it would be good to have all of our favorites in one thread. Share your favorite "Lilly-ism"! Responding to the fact that she is unmarried: "Well, you know, I just can't find the right ex-con, drug-dealing, smack-addict to settle down with." (Who's your daddy. 2.5) I love that one!!

Great thread michelle! I can't think of any right now, but I'll be sure to archive them in here when I do .

I think this is from plans and it's one of my absolute favourite Lilly lines! Some peeping tom type guy said the kid's party was boring so he left, and she counters with; "Right no girl coming out of a cake. Where's the upside for the guy standing in the hedge." Love it.

From Gleen 1.2 Lilly: . . ."probably weren't so headstrong." Rob: "You know all about that, don't you?" L: "I do. I got all these opinions, ideas, that might not be the same as yours. Now, I'm just the kind of girl that pi$$e$ you off, Rob. Just the kind of girl you'd like to blow to bits." R: "Are you the kind of girl that would flirt with your husband's friends? L: "I might." R: "Mouth off to his mother, insult her to her face?" L:"Sounds about right." R:"Be so damn stubborn every conversation turns into WWIII? L: "AND, on top of that, I'd be teaching my daughter to be just as big a pain in the a$$ as I am." R: (To Vera): "And you put up with this?" V: "Tough lady." Go Lilly! And I love Vera's comment at the end.

Oooh, one more! (This is so bad. I'm supposed to be working for a living, not quoting Lilly Rush!) From Look Again 1.1 To a guy threatening her in the parking lot of PPD: "I'm the police and we're at police headquarters. You moron!"

Great idea for a thread, michelle. I am going to have to think of some of my favorite lines, but I can say that there is a certain way Lilly always says "somethin' " and/or "nothin' " that is definitely HER way of saying those words in her Philly-esque dialect. Definitely strikes me as a Lilly-ism (just like Scotty with his "wit" and "dat" speech ).

Hey LillyKat, good to see you are back on the board safe and sound . How about this classic line (from The Hitchhiker I think): Henry: What are you looking at? Lilly: A dead man. And get those feet off my table.

I'm with Jambleds' one from Gleen and Michelle's one from Look Again...So classic.
Didn't really see a point in reposting them.

I've never seen look again (gasp, I know) but that line sounds fantastic. Just the 'you moron' bit at the end made me laugh. I love the way she says crap all the time.

Hey LillyKat, good to see you are back on the board safe and sound . Thank you so much, tiger_lilly! Okay ... here's one from "Lover's Lane" (since I just caught up on this ep this week): When they are down in the basement, first looking at the case with Scotty's old partner from West, and she's assigned to go find the 1986 Datsun car (which she kind of doesn't want to do) ... Lilly (as she closes the box): "It's glamorous ... homicide."

Always in Saving Patrick Bubley. Lilly/Maeve Lilly :" mom, like you Maeve, it's wonder you have any boys left alive." For me Lilly's worst remark. sorry, I diverted the initial question, your favourite Lilly-ism.

So, bit of an aside... Not actually a quote, more an -ism... Has anyone noticed Lilly looks down and to the right when she lies? In Mindhunters, George asked her if she ever dreamt about her 49, she said no like that. Then that guy that buired the boy (Sorry, can't remember the ep name) if she's ever felt like dying and; exact same reaction when she said no (and we all know she's remembering The Woods). I've been meaning to write a fic around this for a while, just haven't gotten the time yet. But... There y'all go. Obviously I pay too much attention!

So, bit of an aside... Not actually a quote, more an -ism... Has anyone noticed Lilly looks down and to the right when she lies? You make reference to this glance. I also noticed it, But it seems to me that she makes it only (when the question which involves the lie), is very intimate and refers to its past. I shall look for the other moments.

Other example, episode 3X16 (well seen Jambled). the lie "no" and just after, the false smile Her expression is even more frightened than in the 2X09. And it's a very fast expression. Other examples maybe soon.
