Awww, poor Lilly. Poor Lil, I know it's part of her charm to try to suck everything up, but she really needs a friend, someone to confide in, someone who will give her that well-deserved hug someone mentioned a few posts ago (Soccer? Sonny?)
Like Soccer, I think they'll have a more personal ep later on in which things will be dealt with. They just can't do it now cuz it would sort of overload the emotional part of the show.

Disasterfreak: Yes, Lily needs someone! At this point, I wouldn't be to picky about who, but she needs to be able to talk!
And, I think you're right, that addressing her personal issues right now would have been too much. It would have put the show on a huge "emotional overload"

Couldn't agree more with ya all.. they need to save this for later.. (not too late though..)

Sukkerspinn: Exactly! They need to save this for later, but not TOO later. I don't want them to ignore it all season, and then towards the end finally start dealing with any of Lil's current emotional issues.

You guys bring up such a good point! I bet we will see more about this in upcoming episodes because it just would have been too much this week. I remember InsideR saying something about how the episodes that have more heavy peronal storylines are the ones that have less-involved cases. The case the other night was very involved, plus they were introducing a new character, so dealing with Lilly's personal emotional struggle would have been way too much for one episode. Great thinking guys!! ;D :smile39:

TVFan: I had totally forgotten that InsideR had said that. But, it does make a lot of sense. You can't really cram in a whole bunch of emotional personal "stuff" alongside a really emotional complicated case.
So, now I've just got to sit back and wait for a less-involved case....haha

I loved how emotional Lily was. As a new fan, I'm trying to decipher this character's motives and pet peeves, or whatnot. I wonder if her easy acceptance of Jo was an opening of a future bond between the two ladies. The way she looked at Jo was strange. It could be read a lot of ways, but I hope that the line that followed is leading to her and Jo discussing personal matters in the future. " I was tired of being the only female". I just thought she expected a hussy, lol, after the way the gossip went. And found Jo to be acceptable by appearances alone. We'll just have to wait and see where this relationship leads. Spoilers indicate Lily will be a mentor... which is weird. The last show that I loved had the main female detective "mentoring" another female character, and the main character retired from the force. Damn Rita Lee Lance from Silk Stalkings, lol. Mitzi Kapture was AWESOME. Anyhoo... Lily being this emotional could cause her to start messing up on the job and she could be given time off... but can you REALLY see the writers writing out Lily? Nah... I think something's going to happen that's going to force her to open up to someone. But that she won't be off the show. At least I hope not. I really like Lily. And hope to watch her for years to come

I don't think they would write off Lil. Wouldn't make ANY sense to me.
I'm just hoping that Lily and "Josie chippy" will become good friends. Lily NEEDS some friends! Haha. Besides, she really needs to be able to open up about what she's dealing with. So *hint to writers* I think "Josie chippy" would be a great person.
*sigh* But, then again, it's not like I really know "Josie chippy"'s personality quite yet. She could be a really mean person or something...(haha) but I don't see that happening.
So I'm really crossing my fingers hoping for some sort of bond to form between them.

I agree. She COULD be. And Vera keeps hinting that troubles abrewing, lol.... Maybe her trouble will be she gets too close to her cases like Lily... and together they can knock the kinks out of themselves! LOL!
I can't wait to see where they're taking her. From first appearance something about the "scandal" doesn't seem right. Maybe she was attacked by Captain White at the NE division. And she threatened to tell someone and he threatened to ruin her career if she confessed to his come-on's.
It'd be interesting if this were the case. She could confide in Lily and that opens the door for Lily to confess what's eating at her internally.
Sigh! I would write a fanfic, but I need to learn more about the show before tackling one on.

Interesting idea!! I could kick myself for not thinking of it, being such an angst ho and all. This could really bring an edge to her relationship with the boys and Lilly. I'm not saying I'm HOPING she was attacked (poor thing), but, given the way she's been acting (very professional) she doesn't seem to sleeping-her-way-up type. Of course, who knows what that type really looks like? Hmm... on the other hand you could tell right off Christina was that type, and no mistake there. :smile80:

LOL! Angst is good, DisasterFreak. I did GH fanfics and loved writing about the mob. Lots of angst there. LOL! And also lots of tension between my two protagonists. But underneath it all, there was still love.
Where can I read some of this CC fanfic??

I am really hoping that "Josie chippy" and Lilly form a bond. I think that Lilly really wants to reach out to someone, but there isn't anyone there to turn to. She seemed willing to reach out to Christina after a while until she found out about her and Scotty. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that a great friendship develops between these two ladies! luvthe one who's name we shall not saybrown - You can check out the fanfic section on this borad, or you can click over to fanfiction.net. There's some incredible work on both.

Ok thanks, TVFan!
And I can't wait to see where the writers are headed w/ adding another female to the team. I still don't knbow if the one who's name we shall not say's around for the entire season, but after the way they had her put the box up you'd think so. But hopefully we'll get some bonding between the two ladies. Also, I want to keep the tension between Vera and Sutton for awhile.

I agree tension between Vera and "Josie chippy" for a while would be great.
