It looks like she is emotionally drained. She looked tired and pale to me. I can't believe...
SPOILER . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . . .
that she had the newspaper article of George's death and just threw it in the trash can.

Seems like typical Lilly to me. Denial-denial-denial. Face up to the fact she's in shock? No way. Let it fester till it can't fester anymore. Then she'll crack. I just hope it won't damage her job. We all crack sometime, and, quite frankly, I'd like to see it happen to her, so she can get some much needed comforting.

I think she looked drained too and tired look... I hope she will bounce back. but you're right..she was in denial when she saw the picture of George in the newspaper.. hopefully, she will snap out of this

hopefully they'll make her crack at some point, and not just let this topic float away in a daze.. that would be so unsetteling! And besides, it's terrible to see her that way. I mean, all the viewers see it, how come none of her co workers see it?? What are they, blind?!

They probably saw it but don't know what the heck to do with it. I mean, they're so used to her being a tough girl. A little bit of fragility rocks their world (I thought m&m's ficlet on the fanfiction thread was right on the money regarding this bit of reality).

I agree with you guys. Looked to tired and about to collapse or something. That Sutton girl might take over if lilly doesnt recover...i wonder if writer's planned this all along.

She did look so tired, and emotionally drained. And I think throwing the newspaper in the trash was a typical "Lily move." I think I would have done the same thing....

I am *hoping* that CBS wouldnt be ignorant enough to write Lilly off the show. I dont think it will come to that. But, she did look all pale and sick-like. It was freaky to watch, nobody should be that pale, even when they are worried. And her throwing the article on George in the trash... I agree with Disaster's assesment:
"Denial-denial-denial. Face up to the fact she's in shock? No way. Let it fester till it can't fester anymore. Then she'll crack."
As much as it will be painful * I think* to watch, I want to see it when it happens. She's going to have to fess up sometime...

I half expected that she'd go to George's funeral. I think that she's just trying to forget and move on. She'll probably bury herself even more into her work just to distract herself from the realization of it all. I hope she lets in out sometime, but you just never know with Lilly.

I kind of thought she would too TVFan! I don't know why though. It's not like I would go to his funeral if I were in her place....but I just thought she might.
I agree that she is going to just bury herself into her work, keep herself distracted.

I don't know why either. It just kind of seemed like her.

I don't know why either. It just kind of seemed like her. I'm glad someone else thought the same thing! I told my boyfriend about what I thought, and he thought I was crazy. At least I'm not alone! ;D

Seems that Lily is really hurt after the wood although she is trying to bottle up ~

Yeah, Lily isn't really one to pour her heart out to anyone. But I do hope she lets it all out sooner rather than later.

Seems that Lily is really hurt after the wood although she is trying to bottle up ~ I thought that to but because the ep didn't deal with anyones personal lives the issue was not raised. maybe in future episodes one of the CC team will try talk to her??? I hope so, she looked in so much pain throughout the episode and i think the case really got to her. She was almost in tears when she was telling Quinn and Claire thayt Jimmy wanted them both!!! Ahhhhh, my poor Lilly. Someone help her please!!! :smile28: :smile28: :smile28:

I think that too Sonny. We'll have a more "personal" episode somewhere down the road, and I think Lily's emotions are going to be dealt with.
At least I hope so. I felt so bad for her during the entire episode! She needs a hug! Haha

I know I just wanted Scotty to notice her nearly in tears at the end and give her a massive hug. I know! At this point, I don't really care who it is, she just needs something! *sigh* It's kind of sad how invested I get into a TV character.....oh well. haha
