Last week's ep ("Gum Drops") was one of the best episodes of the series IMO. And this is saying a lot because it was lacking both Gil and Catherine. It was very emotional and raw. I thought the writing was top notch. I really liked the way they had Cassie narrating in the beginning, but you weren't sure why until the very end. I think this was the first CSI ep that I have ever teared up during. Great acting by George Eads, and he really carried this ep nicely. Overall, an amazing and well done outing. This episode proves that this show can do campy and emotional equally as well.
KathrynFan - Last week's ep "Gum Drops" dealt with Nick's issues a little further. It seems that CSI is doing a better job (so far) of following through with their finale than Cold Case.

Boy, did that upset him when they said that..

OK, guys, who watched the CSI Season Finale?
I had the misfortune of doing that, and
S P O I L E R
It was an awful episode: it was supposed to be about Brass, but all through the episode TPTB made us notice (with ANVILS) Grissom and Sara may be together... and guess what? They are, as we see in a scene at the end of the ep. But she works under him! Do they want to get fired? And if that was not irking enough, Grissom said that he wanted to die of cancer, because that way he could read 'Moby Dick' again, travel... and only at the end, as an afterthought, he says 'saying goodbye to those I love'. Uncaring bastard. I hope you die of cancer (Grissom, not Petersen; the poor guy has had enough health scares as it is).
Bottom line: if this is the 'Way To Go' for next season, you've lost a fan. (Me).

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who is SO against the Sara/Grisson thing. I HATE this story line and felt that it ruined the finale as well. The anvils were ridiculous! I won't be watching long if their relationship begins to weigh down the show next season.

Refering to spoiler . . .
Sara and Grissom together, oh, no, no, no I dont think they should be. No it will ruin the show.
Were not up to the finale yet, I so dont want to see this now.
Grissom said he wanted to die of cancer??? Oh my god this is a strong subject for me as my mum has cancer, This will really annoy me I'm glad I read this now.
I think they may loose me as a fan soon.

Here's a weird story:news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/5353704.stmBody washes up on CSI: Miami setThe set of CSI: Miami became a real-life police investigation scene when a body washed up during filming. An off-duty police officer working on the set was alerted to a body floating in Bicentennial Park. An autopsy will be carried out but police are not treating the death as suspicious at this time. Earlier in the week a mummified body was found inside a building in Los Angeles where spin-off drama CSI: New York was being filmed. The cast and crew of CSI: Miami were filming offshore to get aerial shots from a helicopter when the body was spotted. "Unfortunately, it's not unusual during certain times of the year that people who have fallen in the bay, either homeless people or people who were asleep or in some cases boaters who had a mishap, fall into the bay and turn up days later," said Detective Delrish Moss.

Season Premier SPOILER * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * It was utterly heartbreaking to me that Catherine did her own rape kit and then cried in the shower afterward.
Anyone else see this?

SPOILER * * * * * * Yeah I saw it.. I was like screaming "Ohhh Noooo" I guess the creep put ecstasy in her drink? somehow? When I saw her go whoozy.. I was like saying "Get up and drag herself to her partner!" It's a shame nowadays when you go to a bar to dance and now you gotta worry about what ppl would put in your drink. Last time I went partying when I graduated from College 1993.. My g/f and I went down to my shore place and did some karaoke We were having a blast and the bar scene has changed somewhat when I used to go when younger. Now you gotta look out for strange ppl and use common sense. TG I had sense to tell my g/f to take our drinks to the bathroom or one of us stay to watch our drinks. It's a shame with all these drugs going around and ruining young and even older women's lives. ps: I don't like the idea of Grissom and Sara being an item here..

Not ecstacy. Rohypnol, a horse tranquilizer, commonly known as the Date Rape drug or Ruffie.
That is the sole reason I chug my drinks as soon as I get them. :-)

Last night. It's a 2 part episode so they should recap part one next week before doing part 2.
It was really sad. At first, kind of uncomfortable to watch--very intimate stuff, but then just so so sad.

I saw it yesterday, and it was intriguing, especially the end with Cathering. I'm really looking forward to next week's episode (part II).
@ Eurache: I don't like Grissom and Sara being an item either.
