The most popular scripted series on television is CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Now having just finished its fifth season, well over the 100-episode milestone, CSI continues to average more than 26 million viewers per week and helped put the CBS network back on the map as the #1 network on television. CSI took series television by storm in 2000 by differing from the norm of crime dramas: CSI examines the how rather than the who by using innovative and cutting-edge scientific tools that examine the evidence. CSI has become a phenomenon and has produced two successful spin-offs: CSI: Miami and CSI: NY. taken from www.tvtome.com

CC Fan, it was a great idea to set up these sub-boards for the CSIs and L&Os. :smile39:
Anyway, two weeks ago I got to see the CSI episode where Brass' has to go to LA to look for his daughter. It was one of the most touching CSIs episodes for me. That ending scene with him leaving the gift on her door was heartbreaking. I was surprised because CSI is not a show that gets too emotional, at least not for me.
I was only sad that Nicki Aycox didn't come back to play Brass' daughter. Maybe she was too busy still doing CC. But still, the girl who played Ellie this time did an amazing job. It took me the whole episode to identify where I knew the actress from (it was from Gilmore Girls, btw).

Here's an article with a few season 6 spoilers. Nothing major, but still you have to highlight to read:
'CSI' Night And Swing Shifts To Reunite During Season 6
By Carolina July 21, 2005 - 8:10 PM Nina Tassler's participation in the TCA Summer Press Tour came with big revelations pertaining to CSI's new season.
According to Tassler, fans will see a reunion of the night and swing shifts some time during season 6, after the two groups remained separated throughout the majority of season 5. The producers decided to split the team to add spice to the series, but the fans didn't take warmly to their decision.
Grissom was last in charge of the whole team in the episode "Mea Culpa," where a human error resulted in the famous split. Catherine now runs the swing shift, which includes Nick and Warrick, while Grissom runs the night shift, consisting of Sara, Greg, and Sofia. Grissom finally requested his team back after the gut-wrenching events of "Grave Danger."
Season six will also see a semi-new addition to the show. Actress Louise Lombard, who played recurring character Sofia Curtis last season, will join the cast, Tassler announced.
Sofia Curtis was introduced in the season five episode "Formalities," where she was revealed to be Conrad Ecklie's right hand woman. The CSI was later demoted and placed in Grissom's team due to the events of "Mea Culpa." Displeased by her demotion, Sofia tendered her resignation in the episode "Unbearable," but a late-night dinner with Grissom made her change her mind.
The show's studios will also see a change in location. As was previously reported (news), the set of the popular series has been moved from the Santa Clarita Studios to Universal Studios in Hollywood this summer. This has caused a slight delay in the production of the new season. While Miami and New York have already begun shooting, the actors of CSI are not expected to return until August 1st. However, this does not mean the new season will start later than usual.
Poster SinceIMetYou, from YTDAW, recently took the Universal Studios tour, where the reasoning for the delay was easily appreciated. "The place was a MESS... it looked like they just started building the sets and all. I took video, and after looking closely at it, you can see that hardly anything is set up yet... there were a bunch of wooden framed areas and it looked like they were doing construction."
Various actors of the CSI franchise also attended the CBS press party, where they took the opportunity to discuss their respective shows and in some cases their personal lives. Actor George Eads talked briefly about his girlfriend Monika Casey, who he's been living with for four months now. But the actor revealed he won't be walking down the aisle any time soon due to personal experiences. "Both of our parents divorced when we were 20," he said.

Thanks Tati!! SPOILER: I'm so glad the two teams are reuniting for the upcoming season. I was not a fan of the seperate teams. It should be interesting to see how they all work together again. Interesting that Louise is going to be a regular this season. Looks like another Bruckheimer show is adding a new female regular

Spoiler comment: I'm also anxious to see the teams together again. However, I'm curious about how they'll deal with Catherine's situation - after all, she's a supervisor now. Will she go back to work under Grissom? After all that she fought for a supervising position, there's going to be A LOT of tension there. And of course, I'm curious to see how Nick will be handling with the aftermath of his experience in last season's finale.

I'm curious about SPOILER COMMENT Catherine as well. I hope they don't take away her power ala Without A Trace.

woah, thanks for posting! I'm a little unsure about that new woman they're adding, as I'm sure a lot of fans are. IMHO, she never really meshed well with the rest of the other characters.

I agree, but maybe it was the way she was added to the group. I really disliked her at first, but through the season she started to grow on me. I'm not sure I wanted her on the regular cast, though - I feel like the regular cast of CSI has grown too much over the years...

Here's some spoilers for the two first episodes of the new season, from CSI Files: (Highlight to read. They're not major spoilers): Episode 6.01 - "Bodies in Motion": Rumored to feature Brass, Sara, and Nick investigating an explosion in a trailer park, while Catherine and Warrick look at the case of a dead girl found in her underwear in a really bad area of town. Meanwhile, Grissom looks into some of the events from the season five finale, "Grave Danger."
Episode 6.02 - "Room Service": Rumoured to feature Grissom and Sara trying to figure out whether a cabbie found dead in the wreckage of his taxi was simply the victim of an accident; Catherine, Nick and Brass heading to a rundown apartment building where a nighttime shooting was reported; and Warrick, Greg and Sofia investigating the death of an up-and-coming movie star.
