Yes, Biggs was the guy who was in prison. He did a wonderful job.

I dont know why, but lately NBC has started showing re-runs of SVU on Saturdays. I thought I'd mention it, just incase anyone has missed some episodes from this season. Maybe they are trying to keep up with what CBS is doing, with their crime drama Saturdays. oh well, SVU is SVU! ;D

I know CC Fan!! I liked "Hooked." I wasn't a big fan of "Game," so this was a big improvement for me. Now, I'm just looking forward to next week. Bring on Alex!

Oh, I was so disappointed! :faint: NBC and the media built this one up so much, and Alex was barely in it. :thud: The case itself was good, but it did not live up to the excellent "Loss." In fact, it wasn't even close. Even if "Loss" hadn't had the whole Alex is dead - no, just kidding, "Loss" still would have been more powerful with a much bigger impact. Taken out of the context of "Loss," this one was okay. I felt really bad for the boy who had to testify. The horror that he saw, and then to have to face the man who caused it - wow, that's a lot for an eight year old. I wasn't sure how Benson and Stabler were going to get out of the purgery thing, but I didn't know what else they should have done. They were in a tight spot. It was nice to see Alex again, but she was only in like the last fifteen minutes. I wish she had stopped by at the end during the party to say goodbye - major disappointment that she didn't. The ads made this ep look like it was going to center around Alex's return and it didn't. Sputnik1220 - I think the DEA Agent said that Alex wouldn't be joining them for the party, but that she sends her regards. This part just left me with a big "huh??" At first, I thought he was coming to tell them that she was dead. I'm glad they didn't go that way. Anyway, the episode was good, but it was also a big disappointment.

It was disappointing...She didn't come on the show till about 40 mins into it.

On the one hand, I was a little dissapointed that she wasn't in the entire episode, but on the other hand, I think it was a smart move.
Think about it... the viewers have just started welcoming Casey and we've come to really enjoy the new group (Olivia, Elliot, Casey...) I feel like Alex was in the episode just enough, and it made us remember the old seasons and what we liked about it, but also, not enough to the point where we were wishing she could come back.
I really liked how we got to see Alex and Casey interact, I sorta felt like Alex was passing down the torch.
As a whole, I enjoyed the episode, however, besides Alex coming back, I didn't really feel like there was a major twist like there usually is. But I thought the acting was great, especially that little boy... I felt so bad for him.
All in all I miss Alex and I wish she'd never left, but I'm getting used to Casey and hopefully we'll get to learn a little bit more about her.

You make a very good point CC Fan. I guess I just miss Alex. Casey is fine, but I do like Alex better now that I've seen the old episodes. Who knows, maybe we'll see her again sometime.

so that was an interesting episode... i'm not really sure if i liked it or not... i thought that the guy (matthew modine i think) was really good and creepy, but i dont know, in the past couple episodes, stabler has been getting really emotional and im hoping its leading up to something bigger because im getting a little tired of it... i didnt really like when she shood olivia away.

I watched The Amazing Race, and recorded SVU. Since CSI and WaT are repeats tonight, I'll watch the ep tonight. It looked good from the promos, but as we all know, promos can be deceiving.

Okay, so I watched the Matthew Modine episode last night. It was definitely a departure from the usual format. I liked the episode, but I too am wondering what they're doing with Stabler. I feel like Olivia has been tossed to the side this season, and I'm not too fond of that idea. She had some nice scenes in the beginning of the episode, but the rest of it was basically all Stabler and his emotions. I was glad Olivia shot the suspect and not Stabler. Elliot was way too involved, and would have killed him without realizing that's what the suspect wanted in order to prove his point about Elliot. It was a good episode and Matthew Modine did a fabulous job, but I'm just not a fan of the stunt casting. I like when shows use unknowns and have them play the creepy parts.

After a run of so-so episodes, we finally got a great one! Martin Short was fabulous. You guys know how I dislike the stunt casting, but he was so good that I was able to forget he was Martin Short. Man, was he sick!
He really creeped me out at the end when he did the voice to Stabler. He kept wanting to blame his wife because he realized that she had lied to him about being a virgin, but wouldn't this have been problematic anyway? I mean, once he slept with her she would no longer be a virgin anyway (had she been telling the truth). Wouldn't he then return to his obsessive behavior and take more girls? The wife has her own issues and is certainly no saint, but I think his behavior can be taken off of her shoulders. They were both so sick!
Loved the scene where Olivia tried to trick Valentine. She thought she had him until he informed her that she doesn't have a husband. The look on her face was priceless.
Sorry Casey fans, but are they reverting back to old annoying Casey? Her appearance in this ep served no purpose last night, and she was rude and annoying to Olivia. I know she was just doing her job, but it seemed out of character for her. Lately she's been fine and not annoying at all. I'm not a Casey-hater, so I hope they don't turn her into a dislikable character.
Anyway, this was a very strong episode!

I liked it but I'm getting tired of the Stabler-centered episodes. Every episode seems to be about his anger and every perp tells him that he has anger issues... WE GET IT ALREADY!!!
Besides all that though, it was a really good episode... I liked that we weren't really sure if Valentine did it (or at least I wasn't) but when we did find out, it was still intense, trying to find the body and all.
I hate stunt casting as well but I thought they did a great job with Short.

Well, i havent posted in this thread for a while. Long story. So lets see, i never talked about "Ghost" or "Rage".
"Ghost" i thought was a great episode. I do wish that Alex was in it more, but just to see her was refreshing. Darn.. i cant remember exactly what i talked about after i first saw the ep, but its on my board, if you want to see.
"Rage..." Was a little to Elliot centered for my taste. Watching him lose his temper was not my idea of entertainment. If he keeps that up, he wont be able to continue his job. I thought Matthew Modine did a good job though.
I havent seen "Pure" yet, because it is STILL snowing here continuously, and we lost power that night. Ugh.

I was finally able to watch Tuesday's episode (Amazing Race was two hours on Tues, so I had to record SVU). It was an Olivia heavy episode and I really liked it. I didn't see the whole Olivia's personal investment twist coming. I was wondering how she knew the alcohol hiding spots so well. It made sense when we found out that she had used Simone's help in the past because she had experienced a similar thing. I like how the "mystery" to this episode was why Olivia was so connected. We knew the kids had killed the mother and why, so having the Olivia twist really made the episode unique.
I thought Casey was so funny when she told Elliot that the mother stopped by to get her to charge the boy. She was great in this episode, especially when she agreed to plead out for Olivia's sake. They seem to be developing a bond, which is nice because Olivia and Alex had been so close.
