Just a couple things:
1. Next Tuesday we will finally have a new episode!
2. And this isnt related to SVU... but next week's Law and Order episode(the mothership) will be Elizabeth Rohm's last. Good luck to her in the future, she's done fabulous work on Law and Order, she'll do fabulously on whatever she goes on to.

I never really liked ER's character, but it is sad to see her go. No offense to the actress who plays Casey Novak, but I really don't like her. It's nothing against her acting, I just don't think she meshes well with the rest of the cast. I think I just really liked Alex and so I'm ruined. I always thought Sarina was just really boring and showed no emotion. I wonder who they'll get to replace her.
ETA: I just answered my own question. The actress Annie Parisse will be replacing ER's character.

Wow, ok, i guess i just caused a bit of confusion Let me clear this up... CCFan-I was a bit confused about how you jumped from Elizabeth Rohm's character to Casey Novak. Would you mind clearing that up? I agree, Serena didnt show a lot of emotion (from what I've seen, I just started watching the regular L&O fairly regularly) but i liked her character anywhays. Sputnik 1220-Elizabeth Rohm plays the current ADA on the Regular Law & Order, Serena Southerlyn. She's leaving the show after 4 years, and as CC mentioned, Annie Parisse will be replacing her. I thought i'd mention it, because this used to be the forum for all three L&O's but we changed it because most people seemed interested in only SVU. SVU seems to be the most popular, followed by the regular L&O and then CI. Your second question, I'm not sure about, because i havent seen a lot of episodes from the first season. About Casey and Alex... once you've seen more episodes with Alex, i can almost guaruntee that you will like her. Most people do. She doesnt express much emotion, but she is such a kick-butt attourney that it doesnt even take much of a toll on the viewer... until she leaves A lot of the Casey-haters out there dislike her so much because she replaced Alex on the show. The thing is, she isnt so much trying to replace Alex than to create a whole new character that just happens to have the same job.

Oh alright! That does make a little more sense!! But, it still seemed kinda random. Were you just being random (like in the WAT forum with Jack there) or was in response to something?

I thought this ep was good, but not one of the better ones. I really felt for the soccer coach. His life has been ruined (again) by false allegations. What a mess.
I thought that Stabler was out of line with the suspect's wife. It was a good thing Olivia was there to keep him in check this episode. He was mixing his personal problems and job issues too much.
I knew the coach was innocent. It just seemed to fit too perfectly, so I was waiting for the other shoe to drop. Then, when the little girl recanted, I started to wonder who could have possibly done it. I thought the lacrosse player was a strange choice (story wise). It felt like they had it be him in order to shock the audience.
I still don't like the new profiler. She really adds nothing to the show for me, and I can't wait until B.D. Wong returns.

I agree TV. It was nice to have a new episode after so long, but it wasnt one of the better ones.
The soccer coach was too obvious, as you said TV. I was waiting for Holly to recant her statement. I'm not sure why, but for some reason the writing pointed in that direction. There wasnt a lot of evidence to convict the soccer coach. I also thought that the lacrosse player was a random perp. He wasnt connected to the case at all, and we only say him for the last few seconds at the end. If he had a connection or a little more screen time, it might have made more sense.
Dr. Hendrix is also starting to get to me a little. It is nice to have a woman for a change, but the storyline, again, just doesnt match up. The tension between her and Olivia just kinda disappeared without any notice.
The one part of the ep i did like though was when Elliot had the little get together with his kids at the end. It was nice of Olivia to help out the kids too. With Elliot's work schedule, it must be hard to track down when he has spare time.
Speaking of Elliot, i have a feeling we havent seen the last of his personal turmoils.I thought that he was going to give himself a heart attack from the way he was breathing after he searched that house. I have a feeling that something else is going to happen.

Well, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. Overall, I've been really impressed this year with the quality of the episodes. They're much more thought prevoking and I think the acting (not just the main cast, but the guest starts as well) has improved so much. I remember watching old episodes and thinking how bad the guest stars were and how fake the acting seemed. That little girl last night was really good. I was extremely impressed during the scene where she started crying.
However, I feel like the Elliot stuff was just a little forced. I don't really know, I mean, like, take Scotty in the last episode of Cold Case. That really made sense that he would flip out, because he had lost someone to suicide and the guy was making bad remarks at people who commit suicide. I just felt like in this episode, he sorta flipped out for no reason. I mean, yeah this case had to do with kids, but so do a lot of cases. Eh, I dunno. I did like the ending though and I was surprised to find out that it was his birthday.

I try to stop in when I can and I was happy to see this board up. CC & SVU threads?? this is heaven.
anyhoo, I just also wanted to add how great it's going to be to see Alex come back for the ep & see how what the writers have in store for all of us fans.
as for Elliot's separation....it's a bad break...but honestly? I'm surprised it took this long. And no offense to any 0/S shippers...but they're too much of the familial for me...like Scotty/Lily.
My true wondering is...when are they going to let poor Olivia find someone to lean on? I remember when she told that U.S. Marshall ex of hers that she wanted some peace and stability with someone and he said, "see ya around" or to that effect, it made me sad for her.
Elliot's romantic backstory has filtered through over the years, when is Det. Benson's going to get a shot?

I've been wondering the same atrayuh2. It seems the only time they let it filter through was the first season. She had a few go-nowhere relationships. It would be a nice change of pace to incorporate more personal stuff with her as they have with Stabler this season (as well as past seasons).
I also agree with you on the Olivia/Elliot thing. They are more brotherly/sisterly than anything more. They should avoid the pitfall of partners hooking up (as should CC).

Boy isnt it? BTW, theres a link in my signature that leads to my SVU board. some of the same people who are members here are members over there as well, if you are interested.
Yes, although we were all a little surprised at how we found out that Elliot was separated, i think we were all in some way expecting it. I'm not sure why, but it just is.
I also agree on the O/E thing. Ive always seen them as friends. If they got together it would really ruin the dyniamic. (and it would mess up my O/A and O/C ship too, but anywho...)
