ya know, I don't want Mariska and Chris leave. they're my shipper since I started watching this series! IMO they are the soul of SVU and they should stay but YES, producers MUST change something because we have too much of them in last few eps... always Liv and Elliot, it's enough! where's Munch, Fin, Don, Casey?! if they'll be give us more other characters it will be great

Well, the next episode is a Fin heavy one. I do agree that the other characters have been mostly background this season. I like the Olivia storyline (although I didn't like it when she was gone), but I want to see more Casey (and Munch).

Especially since Adam Beach, who guest starred in last night's episode is joining that cast. Makes me wonder if negotiations aren't going that well.

I think it's more of a precautionary action, although I can't imagine that NBC would agree to the pay raises.

It's one fo many theories that fans are coming up with to explain why they're adding another person to the cast now, when they claim they're having so many budgeting problems. I can't imagine that another payroll is helping matters any. Another theory, like I mentioned, is that either Chris or Mariska are leaving, or are close to leaving.

Looks like Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni aren't leaving SVU. They've actually been signed on for two more seasons. Mariska is now the highest paid TV actress.
