I'm excited because I'm taking beast classes. ;D I tried doing the whole two extra class thing last year, but that didn't work. So I decided to be a normal person and just take AP Gov junior year when I'm supposed to. It's a semester long class. Then the other half of the social studies class is gonna be AP Macroeconomics.. I won't get my schedule until August 5th, but here are the classes I'm taking: AP Macroeconomics/AP Government for the Social Studies credit AP Language and Composition for my English credit Honors Spanish 3- since they screwed with the AP language system at our school, and now they don't offer AP languages until the 4th year. Anatomy and Phisiology- for my science since I refuse to take Physics. Too bad they don't offer an honors/AP for it... Human Performance- for my P.E. credit. I am PUMPED for HP. It's like weight lifting. Algebra 2 and Trigonometry- only class that's a regular level. I am good at Geometry. NOT Algebra. So... I decided I'm not even gonna try.

I hated Geometry unit in high school. Although it was Math A and Math B when I went to high school. They changed it this year to trig, geometry, and algebra...went back to the standard thing. I like Algebra ...solve for x ^_^. Hence, why I find Calculus to be easy for me.

I love math! Yes I am such a Nerd. The only class I am not a fan of is well Art, but that is only because the teacher is a Jerk!
This is what my next year schedule looks like.
Semester 1

Semester 2
Period
0-Rock Band 1-AP Spanish 30 2- Calculus 3-Lunch 4-Graphic Arts 30/ Yearbook 5-AP Chem 30 6-Rock Band
And I will be taking classes after I graduate because I don't have enough room for them. I will be taking AP Physics 30 and phycology 30.

why are there only 6 periods in Canadians' school schedule? Each class must be like 1 hour long then. We're in school for 7 hours here...9 periods...45 minutes.

We actaully only have 4 periods in a day excluding lunch period 0 and 6 those are only for band/ sports programs. But each of our 4 main classes in a semester are 85 minutes. And we really go from 9-3:40 and period 0 goes from usually 7-9 but for rock band it is 6-9 and period 6 goes from 5-7 but again rock band is longer and is from 5-8. And lunch goes from 11:55 to 12:45. So you have 2 85 minute periods in the morning then lunch then 2 85 minute classes in the afternoon. I know it's crazy but after spending 1 semester with it, everything starts to make sense

at least you're prepared for college's 2 hour lectures The only class that does this in our education system would be science. You have a science lecture period everyday for 45 minutes. And then every other day you have a lab period, which is another 45 minutes. So sometimes we have science for 90 minutes in total and sometimes we don't because the lab period switches off with gym so sometimes it's science lecture and gym or it's science lecture and lab. I'm already killing myself for sitting 90 minutes in total. I get very antsy when I don't get to really move at all. Plus, not to mention, that I doubled up on my sciences so some days I had 3 hours of science . 9th grade: Earth Science 10th grade: Biology and Chemistry 11th grade: Physics 12th grade: AP Biology and College Forensics I basically took almost every science course offered in my school except for AP Enviromental Science....ugggh I hated Earth Science, so why on earth would I ever take AP Enviro?

Again, let me reiterate it one more time ;D. You are such a nerd . Seriously, summer school? ? Summer is a time to have fun, let loose, and be with friends and family ;D. It's two whole months that you can fill with new adventures such as going laser tagging for the first time with a bunch of people this month and sharing chilli cheese fries and talking at Checkers . Last summer was going to D.C. and experiencing kayaking for the first time there. Next summer will be going back to China and seeing relatives again for me. This is probably going to be my last summer with my high school friends so we've all been pretty much hanging out everyday before we go off into our separate directions and won't see each other until holiday breaks . I'm excited to start college, but it can wait until August 26th . I think only after my freshman year at school will I go to summer school then. I'm so worried that I won't have enough credits in time for graduation already ;D. It's going to be summer school and China next year. Plus, college is actually going to be fun. I'm going to be taking classes relevant to what I want to do in life

HAHA I know I am a nerd. But I needed the classes so I took them. Plus you go Monday through Saturday 7-4 so it doesn't take your entire summer only about 3 weeks depending on the class.
I can not wait to graduate, I am going to be going into summer school again to take Psychology 30 and Physics 30 AP, just because I didn't have the room to take them during the year. The one thing I am not looking forward to is writing the valedictorian speech if I have to.
I can not wait to move back to the states and start University!!

Man....I stick out like a sore thumb as a freshman. Everybody in college looks so much older than me. This really does intimidate me....but at the same time that I am nervous for college, I'm also excited to begin a new chapter in life. I can't wait to learn material relevant to what I want to do with my life ;D, which would be improving upon the vidding skills I already have.

I know what you mean. I felt like that when I started High School, just because in middle school everyone is pretty much friends with everyone. But once you get to High School people start to split off into the little groups. I feel the same way about after I graduate. I can not wait to start a new chapter in my life, I really want to do some traveling before I start post secondary.
I am super stoked because Rock Band starts up August 20th!! I seriously can not wait. Although sitting through peoples auditions is not fun!

I GIVE UP!!! Ugggh there's no way this 3:10 - 4:00 on Monday and 1:10 - 3:00 on Thursday Film 101 class will fit into my block program(...uggh I'll have to settle for the later one at 7:00-7:50 on Monday and 7:00-9:15 PM on Wedsnesday.
And NO, I do NOT want to wait another semester to take this course >.<. I just want to get all my FREAKING intro classes done for my intended major.
----------------------------
Current Schedule so far(subject to change still):
Mondays:
10:10 -11:00 - Introduction to Media Studies 12:10 - 1:00 - Introduction to Media Studies 2:45 - 4:00 - Introduction to Cultural Anthropology 7:00 - 7:50 - Introduction to Film & Cinema
Tuesdays:
9:10 - 11:00 - Precalc
12:10 - 2:00 - Expository Writing
Wedsnesdays:
12:10 - 1:00 - Introduction to Media Studies 7:00 - 9:15 - Introduction to Film & Cinema
Thursdays:
2:45 - 4:00 - Introduction to Cultural Anthropology
Fridays:
9:10 - 11:00 - Precalc 12:10 - 2:00 - Expository Writing
------------------------------------
I didn't get placed into Calculus :/. I hate math and I am NOT looking forward to seeing Precalc material again. I think Calculus was ALOT better than Precalc in high school. But oh well, getting me to take a math course is like trying to pull teeth. Uggghh I absolutely HATE Math.
And Expository Writing....I'm not sure how I feel about that class at the moment. I'm conflicted between Expository Writing and MEDP(Introduction to Basic Reporting). MEDP is an intensive writing course and I'm not sure if I want to focus my media studies in writing.
I know that the Newspaper Club in high school was a BIG part of my life, but I really love broadcasting and video-editing more than I love writing. And it also depends on what I'm writing about. For high school, I basically did reporting on Sports because that's what I loved to do.

BECAUSE! It is the responsible student thing to do! Think when you go into class you won't be like WTF I don't remember this!
I did that with Spanish 20 Just reviewed everything I learned in Spanish 9 and 10. It helped a lot!

Hmm I got pretty cool classes except for Precalc >.< But at least math isn't everyday like it is in high school . I sit through two hours of that on Tuesdays and Fridays. I am really liking Thursdays right now seeing how I only have 1 class that day ;D. Might be the day to catch up on my hw and whatnot. Now that I'm looking at this new schedule I created for myself, which took up my whole day.....it's a pretty well balanced schedule. Mondays are stacked, but I'm looking forward to Intro to Media Studies, Cultural Anthropology, and Intro to Film & Cinema. Tuesdays are lighter, but I start off with Precalc in the morning :/....what a great way to start off the day. But then I leave math and I go to expository writing . Wedsnesdays are sort of stacked, but I only have 3 classes as opposed to Mondays where I have 4 classes. Plus, it's only Media and Film on Wedsnesdays, which are my two favorite things ;D Thursdays are a joke since I only have Cultural Anthropology. Fridays could be better if I didn't start off my day with math again. But I only have two classes for the day. I finish my last class, expository writing, at 2:00 so I get off "early" for Fridays...the best days of the week .

HAHA I don't even get why you are taking precalc. Or do you need it?
I ask myself why I take all the classes I do and I really wonder what I was thinking! Like taking Calculus, or Physics. Because i don't even think I need them for anything. Oh well.
