Hello boys and girls!  Hello, and good Monday afternoon to you all! I hope that you all had a great night and that you enjoyed the season finale episodes of Cold Case, just as I did! I mailed my letter to Nina Tassler today, and I hope that you all have as well. I'm getting ready to post some info onto KM's site at IMDB on our letter efforts, and to the Cold Case site there as well. I also wanted to let you guys know about some info that I found today! Thanks so much for your efforts on USA Today's Save Our Shows poll! We came in tied for second with the voting! Has anyone noticed that the open theme song has been shortened to just the opening two notes for the last few episodes? Thats not a good sign, it means they surrendered the rights to Nara already.

But they've already done it with other episodes from another season, like in "Death Penalty: Final Appeal"... |

I've also noticed that CBS has done that with other episodes of Cold Case. Isn't it to add additional time to the episode? Although there did seem to be so many commercials with the cutoff. I thought that was too excessive. |

When will we know for sure if its staying or going off the air? From everything I have seen its already been listed as cancelled and this was before May 8th.

Theres nothing on the CBS official site, and the Facebook & Twitter pages have not updated anything. they haven't announced yet. I think they announce their line up on May 17th, something like that, not too sure.

Yeah, I thought we were going to find out yesterday or something unless that is the date CBS quietly makes a decision.
EDIT: According to Zapit2.com TV guide site, CBS doesn't even have Cold Case showing reruns of season 7. Don't they do that after the season ends?

I haven't seen it listed anywhere as being cancelled. I am getting jittery! The fact that we haven't heard anything could have been good a month ago but the fact we aren't hearing anything about it other than it's 50-50 probably means it won't be renewed. Not a word from Ausiello over the past several months. It's like the show does't even exist anymore and is not even a topic of speculation from those that normally have information. |

 Yeah I think you're right. I think the show is gone (not even reruns on CBS) and there wont be a DVD either short of a miricle. I think its a darn shame that CBS thinks so little of the fans of their tv shows. Its too bad a cable channel wouldnt pick it up for a new season but look what happened to Criminal Intent? The cable channel got rid of the actor who made Criminal Intent what it was. That was bad enough, I cant fanthom Cold Case without Kathryn. I do know however that getting the rights to songs is probably like pulling teeth and I remember the big deal bands made over internet sites playing their music without paying them so I can easily imagine them saying NO to CBS.

CBS will be showing an old episode of CSI instead of COLD CASE on Sunday 5/23/10... that's not good. I'm wondering, why showing a CSI episode from last year, and not a COLD CASE epi. from S7?  I'm still crossing my fingers though! |

Yeah, this isn't looking good. It's as if CBS is a type of adoption agency, and the shows are the children. Cold Case is the child that's locked in their room, and only brought out when potential parents arrive. It's the child that was once loved, but at the age of 17 was beaten, shoved in a dark room, and ignored. Now that it's '18' it's being kicked out of the agency, and taken some place where it will die a silent death.

Well, NBC has spoken and I guess Gunsmoke's record will stay intact.
I have done searches on Cold Case and it comes up from 2009.
Last year, were there talk about it being canceled or was it very quiet like this year?
