"Scotty...Scotty! Please, wait...." she rushed after him
"Will you tell me the truth?"
"I..."
"Lil! Will you tell me the truth?" from him it was more a demand than a question
"Yes, just...don't hurry me...please."
They sat down on a couch and Scotty carefully observing her waited in silence for her to talk. When she finally broke the silence it was bearly hearable. "Seeing him brought back old emotions...I don't love him anymore" she added quickly "but it reminded me I once did."
Lilly looked up afraid how Scotty might react. She expected to see anger or sadness or hopefully a smile but his face was blank. He just sat there looking into her eyes.
"I felt something to Joseph even before I met him and when we hooked up I was happy. That doesn't happen a lot in my life...At least it didn't before you and I started going out...Then Joseph left me with all my love for him and I was sad again....Until the day my dad stayed with Bella and you took me out. Through pregancies, problems with Patrick, my mood swings and depression you stayed...you didn't leave me. No matter what I did or how I acted you were there for me and somewhere along the way I realized I'm the luckiest woman...to have you in my life. And seeing Joseph today, if he wouldn't leave me heartbroken I would have missed out on what you and I have. I guess...I'm happy that I was sad. Crazy, huh?" she though she saw a smile appear on his face but before she could analize it he leaned in to give her a passionate kiss.
"I think, after all," he murmured against her lips "I'm happy that you bumped into Joseph today."
"So would you be ok if I invite him for coffee or something?"
Scotty chuckled, "I'm not that happy." He moved lower placing small kisses along her neck.
"Scotty?"
"Hmm?"
"Thank you. For patience. Not pushing me into talking."
"Guess I'm learning. Now how 'bout we take it to the bedroom?" he started unbuttoning her shirt.
"Scotty...Kids are still up."
He stopped his actions and cursed quitely before adding with hope in his voice, "How 'bout after bedtime?"
Lil got up and looked at him teasingly, "Maybe."


The day finally came when Scotty allowed Lilly to bring Joseph over. Lilly went to the shopping centre and waited for him to show up. When she saw him, she invited him over.
Scotty was sitting down watching TV, the kids were with Paul and Finn was outside.
Scotty turned his head when he heard the door open. Lilly was laughing and Joseph was right behind her smiling. Instint jealousy hit him and he stood up.
"Hello Scotty." Joseph mumbled, handing out his hand.
Scotty shook it and put on a smile, "Hi."
"Did a good job with your wife, how many more kids do you want."
Scotty's neck twisted and he felt anger run through him," As much as she lets me, she seems to like our sex life."
Lilly blushed as she took off her coat. "I'll go get some drinks."
Lilly heard Scotty and Joseph talking in the lounge. Joseph talked about how he was single, and Lilly cursed in her head, hoping he didn't think something would happen.
She returned and handed them both a drink. She snuggled next to Scotty as he wrapped his hands around her waist.
"You got any names?" Joseph asked.
"Well, I like Maddy, Elena (she said smiling up at Scotty) Claire and Lauren."
"There nice names."
"Yeah they are, Scotty likes them too."
Silence overtook them as Scotty played with Lilly's hair. She lent back in his arms and let him rub her stomach at the same time.
"So uh...how's work?" Joseph asked.
"Great actually."
"Cool."
Things started to get akward and Lilly regretted ever asking him over.
"I better get going," he whispered, standing up and walking straight out.
Scotty sighed and pulled back Lilly's hair. "We're not doing that again."
"Okay."

Lilly stood up, "One in a while that kind of proof would be...nice."
"For God's sake. Your carying my children" Scotty put his hand on her bump "That's a proof of our love. Of my love to you."
"Well your 'proof' is causing me to have morning sickness," with that Lilly stormed out of the room.
Finn sat down ot the chair opposite Scotty and observed his confision.

That night after putting the kids to bed, Scotty snuggled up to Lilly. She instantly pushed him away, not wanting to speak to anyone tonight.
"Can you let me hold you?"
"I'm tired."
"So am I, I just want to hold you."
"Just leave me alone Scotty."
Scotty sighed and turned over, tonight was going to be a long night.

At 4:12am, Scotty was still awake. He was having troubles sleeping and he looked up at the ceiling.
He looked over at Lilly when he heard a soft sob. He quietly leant over and saw tear running down her face.
He pulled her over and she quickly wiped the tears from her face.
"Piss off Scotty."
"Why are you crying?"
"I'm not."
Scotty rolled her over and pinned her to the bed. "Tell me."
"No."
Scotty lent down and placed a hard kiss to her lips.
"Tell me."
Lilly fought against him, trying to push him away. After a few minutes she finally gave up. "Don't you love me."
"I do baby."
"No otherwise you'd be jealous."
"Lil, I was jealous at first, but I knew you didn't love him, so it went away."
Lilly flickered her eyes and placed a quick kiss to his lips. "Promise?"
"I promise."
Lilly smiled and pulled Scotty under the covers.

Lilly smiled and pulled Scotty under the covers.

Morning came quickly. Too quickly. At least for Scotty, he came to the kitchen with barely open eyes when he saw Lilly by the burners making pancakes. She was smiling and when he first entered he thought she was softly signing.
"Hey gorgeous" he placed his hands around her waist and kissed her on the neck.
"Morning. Pancakes?"
"Your awfully happy this morning"
"I had a wonderful night, second part of it at least, with this amazing guy," she turned in his hands, "And it looks like I tired Mr. Amazing out."
"I think I have enough strenght for round two," he smiled and placed a kiss on her lips.
"Round two, huh? Aren't we up to round-"
"Mummy! Daddy!" Bella run in to the kitchen
Scotty caught Isa and picked her up, "Morning sunshine. You wanna help me and mommy with breatfast?"
"Yeah!"
Lilly placed spatula in Scotty's hand and took Bella from him, "How about daddy will finish breakfast and we'll get dresses and wake up sleepyheads?"
"Yeah!"
"She gets excited about everything," Scotty moved to flip pancakes.
"Not so much about brushing her teeth but I'm working to change that," Lil placed a kiss on Scotty's cheek and headed upstairs.
"She seams happy," Finn came to the kitchen "Need help?"
"Nah, I'm good. She is happy."
"You sorted that thing from yesterday out?"
"Yeah"
"Man, I wish my girlfriend would forgive me so easily."
"I blame it on hormones. Wait!" he turned to face Finn, "You have a girlfirend?"
Finn hesitated, "Sort of."
"Aha...I mean, that's ok. Great for you, but why didn't you tell us? Seams you tell us about everything that happens, hard to shut you up sometimes," Scotty chuckled, "But the topic of girlfriend never came up. Why is that?"
"Coz...it's more casual...I think...We hang out at school...And at her dorm room sometimes. Didn't want to bring her here. It's not my house I mean and with the kids, you know...It's just complicated. And looks like something is burning."
"Oh crap!"

"Mummy! Daddy!" Bella run in to the kitchen
Scotty caught Isa and picked her up, "Morning sunshine. You wanna help me and mommy with breatfast?"

Lilly jumped onto the couch and placed her hand on his shoulder. "Just let me meet her."
Finn laughed realising she was like a little child getting her favourite present. "I'll ask her okay, but it isn't offical yet."
"Good, and it won't be unless I say so."
Lilly jumped off the couch and started to walk away. She turned back and smiled, "I can't believe you have your first girlfriend. It is your first right?"
"Yes."
Lilly smiled as she walked away.

Finn hesitated for few days with inviting his girlfiend over but knew that Lilly would not let go of the subject. Finally he invited her over for Sunday dinner. He was tidying up the house, moving pillows, magazines, pictures on shelves making Lilly crazy.
"Stop that already. House is spotless and looks good."
"Sorry. Nervous. Dinner is cooking right? You're checking on it so it won't overburn?"
"For the 100th time - yes! Now sit down and relax."
"Yeah, sure," Finn was about to sit down when door bell rang. He swiftly moved to the door and placed a hand on the know, "I look good, right?"
"Yeah, man. Just open it," Scotty joined Finn and Lil by the door, "before she thinks no one's home."
When he did open couple saw a redhead girl smiling nervously, about the hight of Lilly, slim, with dark blue eyes, wearing sporty yet elegant clothes. Lilly giggled when silence arose between Finn and the girl.
"Come on in. We don't bite," Scotty waved her in and both Finn and girl chuckled nervously.
"Yes, come on in" Finn closed the door behind her and helped her take off jacket, "This is my sister Lilly and her husband Scotty and this is" he placed one hand around her waist making her smile "my girlfriend Justina."
"'J' is just fine," she extended her hand to greet them.
"It's a pleasure to meet you. Don't get scared when bunch of kids will run in a sec to greet you."
Like Scotty warned four kids run to the door screaming 'uncle.' Younger couple squatted down to them.
"This is Isabella, Tamara, Matthew and little one is Seirra."
Four kids hugged the girl while Lilly observed her carefully not detecting any hesitation or fear in her eyes. 'Kids seam to like her and she seams to like kids, good so far' she thought to herself.
"How did you two meet?" Lill definitelly wanted to know a lot and wasn't afraid to ask any questions.
"We took class together," Justina was still shy and Lilly noticed that in her voice but wasn't about to let go of a subject, "What class?"
"Childhood psychology."
"So you're psychology major, too?"
"Lilly, please, don't act like a detective," Finn whispered.
"I'm just curious."
"That's the problem."
She shot Finn a look and her curiousity was now even greater, now that she got little offended. 'I'm a cop. It's my job to ask questions, damn it!' her mind deciding what questions to ask first.
"Ahh. Dinner is ready," Scotty waived them all to the dinning room when he heard oven timer ring.

As the two sat down, Lilly went through the possible subjects they could talk about. Silence overtook them and as awkward as it felt, Lilly somehow felt as ease.
"I'm sorry about the way I treated you. It's just, I just found him and I don't want to loose him this quick."
"It's okay, he told me about you, I just wanted you to like me."
Lilly smiled at her and looked down. "Just as long as you don't steal him away from me. I still want to have him around."
"Don't worry, we're not that deep into the relationship yet."
The women both stood up and walked back inside. Finn looked on nervously, hoping that Lilly didn't say anything embarrassing.
"Hey Scotty, can I talk to you for a minute."
Scotty walked out of the room with Lilly, leaving Finn and Justina alone.

"Wasn't that bad. You didn't tell her a lot, did ya?"
"Almost nothing."
Justina looked down at the floor, "Did you tell them about..."
"Never! I know how painful topic it's for you. I respect that"
"And yet you told me about your sister."
"That was different. I guess. You thought I don't know how-"
She stopped him with gentle kiss on the lips, "Thank you."
Finn looked into her eyes, "You uhmm wanna see my place? It's not far" he smiled "Few steps down."
"Sure. Just...hope your sister won't mind us being there alone."
Finn chuckled, "I'm old enough to be with a girl alone in my room," he took her hand and lead her down to the basement.

"Stuff."

Lilly sat on top of him and kissed him passionately. She suddenly stopped when she heard soft laughter.
She looked up to see all her kids bundled together. She quickly moved from Scotty stood up.
"What do you guys want?"
"Mummy and daddy were kissing." Tamara laughed.
"What do you want?" Lilly demanded, not looking into their eyes.
"We're hungry."
"You just had dinner."
"But we're hungry."
Lilly sighed and ushered them into the kitchen. Scotty stayed on the couch and froze when he heard Finn and Justina talking.
"I just want you to come with me."
"I have family here."
"I know...but it will be good for us. You can come back and see them in a few years."
"I can't leave them, I love them."
There was a pause - maybe the kissed, Scotty didnt' know - and then Justina mumbled, "Think about it."
Scotty pretended to be reading a magazine as Justina walked over to the door. "I better get going, tell Lilly I said she's really nice. Bye."
Justina walked out and Finn came into the lounge. He sat down on the couch and smiled as he turned on the TV.

Lilly and Scotty both returned and noticed the couple were gone. Lilly smiled and bought Scotty down to the couch. The kids had run off somewhere leaving Lilly alone with Scotty.
Lilly sat on top of him and kissed him passionately. She suddenly stopped when she heard soft laughter.

Scotty pretended to be reading a magazine as Justina walked over to the door. "I better get going, tell Lilly I said she's really nice. Bye."
Justina walked out and Finn came into the lounge. He sat down on the couch and smiled as he turned on the TV.

"She's a nice girl." Finn didn't answer, he was looking at the TV but not watching whatever was on. "Finn?" Scotty went to the kitchen when younger guy didn't answer him again.
Scotty sat by the counter and watched kids eating their snack
"Everything's ok?" Lilly put a hand on his shoulder
"Don't know. Something's off"
Silence from Lil made Scotty continue, "Finn's just sitting there, staring at the TV like something is bothering him."
"He's just tired. We all are, it was a long day. Good, but long day."
"Nah. Think it has to do with Justina" Scotty looked into Lilly's eyes "You talked with her more than me. What are her planes after college?"
Lil shrugged, "Work, what else?"
"Did she tell you where?"
"Didn't say exackly. Why?"
"It's nothing." Scotty moved to the fridge and poured himself a glass of juice. Leaning against the counter he went back to observing the kids. Lilly wraped her hands around his waist placing head against his chest. She looked up and saw he's mind is occupied with something.
"Scotty? What is it?"
"Nothing."
"It's not nothing. Something happened."
"I think...Think I overheard them talking 'bout going somewhere for few years."
"She told me she's not planning to steal Finn away. You must be imagining thing."
"Must be. Come kids" he picked up Seirra "let's get ready for bed."

"She's a nice girl." Finn didn't answer, he was looking at the TV but not watching whatever was on. "Finn?" Scotty went to the kitchen when younger guy didn't answer him again.

"Everything's ok?" Lilly put a hand on his shoulder
"Don't know. Something's off"
Silence from Lil made Scotty continue, "Finn's just sitting there, staring at the TV like something is bothering him."
"He's just tired. We all are, it was a long day. Good, but long day."
"Nah. Think it has to do with Justina" Scotty looked into Lilly's eyes "You talked with her more than me. What are her planes after college?"
Lil shrugged, "Work, what else?"
"Did she tell you where?"
"Didn't say exackly. Why?"
"It's nothing." Scotty moved to the fridge and poured himself a glass of juice. Leaning against the counter he went back to observing the kids. Lilly wraped her hands around his waist placing head against his chest. She looked up and saw he's mind is occupied with something.
"Scotty? What is it?"
"Nothing."
"It's not nothing. Something happened."
"I think...Think I overheard them talking 'bout going somewhere for few years."
"She told me she's not planning to steal Finn away. You must be imagining thing."
"Must be. Come kids" he picked up Seirra "let's get ready for bed."


That night Scotty ordered a background check on Justina.
He couldn't sleep, waiting around for the results.
"Scotty?"
Scotty turned around and saw a pair of tired blue eyes look up at him.
"Why aren't you sleeping?"
"I can't."
Lilly sat up and crawled over to him. She wrapped his arms around her waist and snuggled into him.
"Tell me."
"I'm worried for Finn. I'm sure she said to him she wanted him to go with her and leave his family."
"She wouldn't do that."
"Lil...I heard her."
Lilly sat up and cupped his face, "He'll tell us if he needs help."
Scotty knew asking Lilly wouldn't help him at all, so, he nodded and pulled her down into bed.
He quickly removed her shirt which was his, and nibbled on her neck.

"Valens."
"Scotty, I got that background check for you."
Scotty pulled the phone closer and slipped out of the room.
"Anything interesting?"
"Well, he parents died when she was 9. She was arrested once for drinking in public, but that's really it."
"Hmmm...okay, meet me at Joe's, I wanna take a look at it."
Scotty shut the phone and grabbed his coat. "Lil, I'm going to meet Nick, he wants to have a talk."
Scotty quickly went outside and slammed the door behind him.

Lilly rang Nick a few hours later, worried when Scotty hadn't returned.
"Vera."
"Hey is Scotty there?"
"No why?"
"When did he leave?"
"What do you mean?"
"Didn't he come over?"
"No, not that I know of, I think I would have saw him if he was in my house."
Nick started to laugh on the other end and Lilly shut the phone.

Lilly stayed up to 12:00 at night untill Scotty arrived home.

"Still, you should discover everything."

Finn rolled his eyes, "Yeah. Right. I will 'discover' rest 'bout Justina after I put a ring on her finger."

"Why not?"
"Because you shouldn't!"

Lil turned her eyes to Scotty giving him Ice Queen look, "What the hell did you do?"

That night Scotty drove to the address that was listed for Justina. He knocked on the door lightly, hoping she would would answer.
"Hi Scotty."
Scotty was about to leave but turned when he heard her voice.
"Hey."
"Is Finn okay?"
"Yeah, I um...was wondering if we could have a talk."
"Sure."
Scotty slowly walked through her door, observing the room. It was dark and extremely clean.
"So what's up?"
Scotty sat down on the edge of the couch and looked up at Justina. "I overheard you talking to Finn. I want to know what's going on."
Justina froze and went pale. "Well...."
"Well?"
"I'm moving to Australia next month. I want Finn to come with me."
"He lives here!"
"I know, but I love him. I want him to come with me."
"And if he doesn't will you kill him like you killed your parents."
Justina let out a nervous laugh and started to pace around the room.
"You shouldn't have said that," she whispered, reaching over to the table.

In the morning Lilly woke up to an empty bed. She checked downstairs but Scotty was nowhere to be found. When she tried calling him it went straight to voice mail. She was now extremly nervous, she picked up the phone to call and report a missing person when she heard Finn rushing upstairs, he grabbed his coat and keys when Lil stoppend him.
"Finn, what happened?"
"Justina's in some hospital. Friend just called me that ambulance picked her up in the middle of the night. Sorry Lil, have to go."
"Wait! Is Scotty with her?"
"I don't know. I don't even know which hospital she's in. I'll drive to each and every one and beg them to tell me."
"Call dad-"
"Lil, I don't hav-"
"Finn! Just call dad. Tell him to come and watch the kids and I'll find out where they took her," Lilly dialled some number, "I have a strange feeling where ever she is Scotty is there too."

Finn and Lilly were rushing down the hospital corridor towards psychiatric ward.
"What happened? Is she ok?" Finn cried out when he saw Scotty in waiting room.
"Took'em a while to calm her down. She's sleeping now," Scotty looked down when he met Lil's angry eyes, "They're gonna keep her for observation."
"Finn," Lil's voice was very calm, "could you give us a minute?"
He looked at his sister and knew it's better not to say 'no' to her right now. When he stepped out Lil waived Scotty to sit down.
"Why is Justina here? And why are you here with her?"
"I..uhmm...well...I just...went"
"If you can't say it, let me. You went to confront her. You accused her of killing her parents and brothers. And you caused her to have nervous break down. Am I right so far?"
Scotty hesitated before answering, "Yes."
"Well, at least did you find out if she killed her family?"
He hesitated again, "I don't think so. But she ain't stable. She tried to kill herself."
"Don't you think it's because you pushed her over the edge?"
Scotty looked around nervously without answering, Lilly sighed and sat down opposite Scotty hiding her face in her hands, "Can someone tell me why I married such an idiot?"

Their problems were always my problems and I hated that. Now..." Lilly's eyes filled up with tears, " now I wish I would deal with it differently. I asked for help to late. I'm glad my dad, after I reached out to him after all those years, didn't turn me down. He stayed. So did Scotty when I finally allowed him into my life. Trust me, opening up...asking for help...it's hard, very hard but worth it. If I could go back and live my life over again I would not be so walled it for so long."

"Stay, few more months, give Finn a chance he will not hurt you. Come over as much as you want and just see how it will" Lill suddenly stopped talking and put her hand on her bump.

"I'm sorry Lil, but it looks like we can't afford another house," Scotty was looking over the finances calculating everything.
"We have to think about moving."
"Why is it so important, Lil? We have 4 bedrooms here and even if we move we can't afford bigger house."
"It's not the bigger house I want. Kids are growing up and soon they will got to school. We need to move to better school district. For them, Scotty."
"Oh, so that's the reason. Still it doesn't look good. We would have to cut back a little and with six kids it's not gonna be easy."
"I know. But we can buy house in not perfect condition, room to improve and remodel, maybe space to add bedrooms. You know," Lil brought Scotty a tea and sat down next to him, "last time my dad helped us. For sure if I ask him he'll help us again."
Scotty squinted his eyes and started to look around.
"What are you looking for, sweetie?"
"My Lilly. I saw here here not so long ago. What did you do with her?"
"I don'tget what you...mean"
"My Lilly would never 'fess up she needed help."
"Well, I have to keep this relationship fresh somehow even if that means changing," she let out shy smile.
Scotty leaned in for the passionate kiss, "And that's why I love you. Anyway I'll see what can be done about another house. Meanwhile you come up with the names for our girls coz due date is coming up fast."
"You still don't want in on the decision?"
"Nah. Whatever you'll choose I'll be happy...Few names came to my mind though, but remember I'll love whatever names you'll choose."
"Just say them, Scotty."
"Well, ok. Camillia, Susan, Maya, Yumi and Kaya."
"Wait. Aren't those Japanese?"
"Last two, yeah. Why? What?" he saw Lilly trying to contain her laughter.
"I'll think about them, ok? Now you think about how can we afford another house," Lil stood up and turned before walking out, "Oh, did you buy Bella's present?"
"Yeah. Bought it and wraped it."
"Did I tell you I love you?"
Scotty smiled, "Not recently, no."

When Isabella's birthday came, everything was hectic. Lilly was busy making the cake, thinking it would be best to make it and not buy it, she felt a pair of arms wrap around her legs.
"Bella," she whispered, trying to remove her hands. "You're not supposed to look."
"Mummy."
"What?"
"I don't fell good."
Lilly looked down and notice the childs flushed skin and limp body.
"Have you eaten anything?"
"No."
Lilly shook her head and let the spoon fall. She swooped Bella into her arms and headed for the phone.
"We'll have the party next week okay, just family today."
Bella nodded and snuggled into her mothers chest.

When Scotty arrived home with all the food, Lilly was lying on the couch with Isabella on top of her. Seirra was playing with her teddies and Matt and Tamara were not in the lounge.
"Why aren't you ready?"
Lilly looked up then rubbed Bella's sleepy head. "She doesn't feel well, we have to postpone."
"Lil-"
Lilly quickly cut him off. "No, she's sick, she doesn't want the party."
Scotty nodded and walked away.

When Scotty arrived home with all the food, Lilly was lying on the couch with Isabella on top of her. Seirra was playing with her teddies and Matt and Tamara were not in the lounge.

Lilly looked up then rubbed Bella's sleepy head. "She doesn't feel well, we have to postpone."

Lilly quickly cut him off. "No, she's sick, she doesn't want the party."
Scotty nodded and walked away.

By bedtime Bella's temperature rose and she complained her ear started to hurt. Tammy also had fever by now. Lil sat on Isa's bed cuddling both girls when Scotty came in to the room.
"Lil, I should take them to the emergency room so they can give them medication," Scotty picked Tammy up.
"Ok, let me get ready."
"Oh no. You're not going. Finn will stay with the kids and I already called Paul to pick you up. You're gonna stay with him until girls get better or your water break."
"What? I'm not going to leave my girls."
"Lilly, last thing I need is you getting sick. You're pregnant and it might not end well for you or the twins."
"Scotty, I'll be fine" she tried to protest
"No! You're gonna take Seirra and Matt so they will not get sick either and you're all going to stay with Paul. And don't argue with me."
Finn helped Scotty with the girls and they drove to the hospital.

For next week Lilly couldn't stand being apart from her girls while they needed her the most. She stayed with Matty and Seirra in Paul's house. On top of that Stillman forced her to take leave untill the labor so she could rest. Lil hated that and called Scotty few times a day to check on girls and on work.
Scotty flipped his phone open when it rang another time this day, "Lilly I told you, girls are fine. And cases are going good too. So what do you want?"
"Scotty, it's Paul. You better come down to the hospital."
"Why? What happened? Is Lil ok?"
"Yes, she's fine. Screaming and cursing a lot but that's normal for being in labor."
"What? I'm on my way."
Scotty closed his phone and informed Stillman of Lil's situation before running out from the office.
