Next two days instead of enjoying the vacations and spending all her attention on Scotty and the kids, Lilly turned on her detective mode observing her husband's every move. He still didn't eat much and although be played with the kids as much as possible he seamed tired all the time. Against her better judgement, Lilly decided to call Jeffries and asked him to pull and check Scotty's phone records for any suspicious calls.
"Will, I need to know what's going on with him," she tried to convince Will for most of the conversation, "and talking to him ain't working."
"Lil, do you trust him?"
She hestitated before answering, "Yeah..yes, I do."
"Then wait for him to tell you...Lil, enjoy your time down there. Bye."
Before she could say anything Will hung up. Lilly immidiatelly called Vera and asked him the same about pulling records but he refused also.
"Crap!" she cursed hanging up. She went outside and cursed again when she saw Scotty passed out on the porch floor. Rushing over to him she dialed for ambulance, "Scotty? Scotty! Yes, I need an ambulance..."
By the time paramedics showed up Scotty was awake and he refused to get any treatment, "I'm fine, Lil."
"You're going to the clinic. I need to hear from a doctor that you're fine."
"No! I'm not goin'!" Scotty tried to get up, but got dizzy and fell back on the floor. Lilly nodded to paramedics to take him. When they were placing Scotty in ambulance Lil packed the kids into a van and both cars drove off to the clinic.


When the doctor came up to Lilly she felt her heart beat faster.
"He's doing fine," he announced.
"What's wrong?"
"He didn't tell you?"
"No, what is wrong?" Lilly demanded.
The doctor looked back at the roddlers clamped up together. Isabella was crying with her head in Tammy's shoulder.
"He's got a tumour."
"What?" Lilly asked in disbelief.
"Maybe you should go and talk to him."
Lilly told the kids to stay there with the doctor as she went into to see Scotty.
Lilly slowly walked in and saw Scotty lying on his side. His back faced her and she could tell he would not want to talk to her.
"Scotty?"
"Go away," he mumbled.
"I want to talk."
Lilly strolled over to the other side of the bed and looked into his eyes. She lent down and cupped his face.
"Why didn't you tell me?"
Scotty tried to move but Lilly gripped him harder. "Why didn't you tell me?" Lilly yelled louder.
"Because I wanted you to get better."
"I am better."
"Yeah and if I told you, you would have went downhill again."
Lilly started to cry and couldn't help the tears roll down her face.
"Not telling me makes it worse."
Scotty felt tears roll down his face and he pulled Lilly onto the bed with him, "I don't want to die," he whispered.
Lilly cried harder as Scotty rested into her chest. The both stopped wen they heard a soft 'Daddy'.

When the doctor came up to Lilly she felt her heart beat faster.
"He's doing fine," he announced.
"What's wrong?"
"He didn't tell you?"
"No, what is wrong?" Lilly demanded.
The doctor looked back at the roddlers clamped up together. Isabella was crying with her head in Tammy's shoulder.
"He's got a tumour."
"What?" Lilly asked in disbelief.
"Maybe you should go and talk to him."
Lilly told the kids to stay there with the doctor as she went into to see Scotty.
Lilly slowly walked in and saw Scotty lying on his side. His back faced her and she could tell he would not want to talk to her.
"Scotty?"
"Go away," he mumbled.
"I want to talk."
Lilly strolled over to the other side of the bed and looked into his eyes. She lent down and cupped his face.
"Why didn't you tell me?"
Scotty tried to move but Lilly gripped him harder. "Why didn't you tell me?" Lilly yelled louder.
"Because I wanted you to get better."
"I am better."
"Yeah and if I told you, you would have went downhill again."
Lilly started to cry and couldn't help the tears roll down her face.
"Not telling me makes it worse."
Scotty felt tears roll down his face and he pulled Lilly onto the bed with him, "I don't want to die," he whispered.
Lilly cried harder as Scotty rested into her chest. The both stopped wen they heard a soft 'Daddy'.

Lilly looked over his shoulder to see Isabella standing by the bed with tears rolling down her face. She got up and placed Isa in Scotty's lap. Doctor came in with Seirra in his arms and twins closely following him. Lil placed rest of the kids on Scotty's bed and they all crawled to hug him.
She took doctor by the arm and led him outside of the room, "Did he tell you what type of tumor he has?"
Doctor shook his head, "No. He practically refused to give us any information and undergo any treatmant. He only said he's taking care of it back in Philly...We are a small clinic, we can't do much here anyway."
Lilly looked at Scotty laughing with the kids, "Is he's condition stable enough for a drive home?"
"Yes."
Lilly went back to the room and sat on the bed, "Scotty, you are going to doc..." she looked down at all four kids staring back at her "you are taking care of if, right? Back in Philly?" When she saw him nod she continued slowly, "How long have you...know about it?"

"No, sweetie" Lil stroked Isa's hair but toddler jumped out of her lap onto the ground yelling 'liar' and run off to the hallway crying.

Lilly went back to the room and sat on the bed, "Scotty, you are going to doc..." she looked down at all four kids staring back at her "you are taking care of if, right? Back in Philly?" When she saw him nod she continued slowly, "How long have you...know about it?"
When he didn't answer Lilly sat closer to him and took Isa in her lap. "We hava to cut our vacation short," she said in sad voice looking at the kids. Suddenly Isa turned in her lap looking straight into her mother's eyes, "Daddy's dying?"
"No, sweetie" Lil stroked Isa's hair but toddler jumped out of her lap onto the ground yelling 'liar' and run off to the hallway crying.

Before Lilly could go after her, Scotty put a hand on her shoulder and pushed her back lightly. He walked after her as Lilly pulled herself into a ball.
The thought of losing her husband sent chills down her spine.
After 20 minutes Scotty had still not returned. The soft cries had now stopped and the rest of the kids were sleeping.
Another 10 minutes later Lilly grew anxious. She quietly stood, making sure no one was awakened and tippy toed down the hall.
Lilly stopped at Isabella's room and heard quiet laughter.
She pushed the door a little bit further so she could have a better view of the room.
Isabella was sitting in Scotty's lap and he was playing with her toes.

Scotty undressed and slipped under the covers while Lilly sat down on the end of the bed, "Scotty...you said you cought this early...how early?" When he didn't answer she turned to him, "Don't pretend you're sleeping. Scotty? I'm your wife, talk to me."
He opened his eyes but avoided her look, "Stage 1...it's benign."
Lil crawled to him and rested her head on his chest, "Where...where is it?"
"Brain, but it's operable."
"Brain?" her eyes widened in fear of loosing her husband
"Yeah, but I'm doing radiation and have surgery scheduled next month and after that everything should go back to normal."
"Should?" she looked into his eyes and he kissed her on the forehead.
"It will go back to normal. Until then I will vomit a lot and have headaches a lot and be tired a lot...and they will shave my head for the opeartion so for a while I'll look like Will," he laughed quietly.
She moved closer and kissed him, "I don't want you to die," she cried out.
"I won't. Let's go to sleep now. We have a long drive tomorrow." He covered her with the blanket and turned of the light by the bed.
"Scotty...if I wouldn't find out...that you have it....how would you explain shaving your head?...and scar?" she whispered.
"I would have hoped that you're not as good detective as you think you are"
She gently punched him in the arm and he let out quiet 'auch,' "You just punched a guy with brain tumor."
"I'm sorry," she kissed him on the lips.
"I forgive you. Now sleep."

He left the kids with Paul and decided to take Lilly out ice-skating.
"Where are we going?" Lilly asked as they walked on the pavement.
"You'll see," he whispered against the back of her neck.
Lilly kept walking until Scotty stopped her. She looked to the side and saw a ice skating rink. She laughed as Scotty pushed a her lightly forward. "No, Scotty, don't!"
"It'll be fun!"
"I don't know how to," she protested.
"I'll teach you."
The two got got their shoes fitted and Scotty literally carried her onto the rink. Lilly let a loud giggled escape as his hands held her tight.
He let her down on the ice and she instantly slipped, luckily Scotty caught her and lifted her straight back up.
"I told you I couldn't," she whispered as he put his chest agasint her back."
"Don't worry, I'll look after you."
Lilly let her doubts slip away as Scotty led her forward. Her legs were stiff at first but with Scotty's help, she got the hang of it,
They were still skating when Lilly grew hungry. Lilly ran towards Scotty and they sprung round. She giggled as they embarced.
"I'm hungry," she whispered.
"Me too!'
They stopped at a small cafe and shared a platter of many different things.
They both were enjoying their day until they got a call from Paul telling them Isabella was crying hysterically.

She spotted Isa laying on her bed with face burried in a pillow and Tammy sitting by her gently stroking her sister's back. Lil's heart melted right then and there. She observed two sisters for a while remembering how as a child she would comfort Chris in times of need. Lil pushed the door wide open and stepped into the room. Tammy's eyes met hers but toddler didn't say anything instead she continued comforting her big sister.
Lilly sat by the bed and stroked Isa's hair, "Bella?"
Bella raised her head from the pillow and smiled seeing her mother there.
"What's wrong, sweetie?"
Toddler hid her face in a pillow again without any response. Lil sat on the bed and took Isabella into her lap kissing her forehead, "Tammy, go to grandpa and daddy, ok?"
Tamara moved to slid off the bed but Isa pulled her shirt and screamed, "No!"
Lil raised her eyebrows surprised that Isa was not jelous of her sister...moreover, she wanted her sister there and that was a first. Lil tried to talk to Bella but toddler wouldn't say anything. After longer while both kids were asleep on Lilly's lap so she gently placed Tammy in her bed that stood right next to Isa's bed and then ttucked in her eldest daughter.
"What happened?" Scotty sounded very concerned when Lilly came downstairs.
Lil's eyes circling the room as if they were looking for the answer, "I...don know."

Next day after breakfast toddlers run off to play. Lilly placed Seirra in playpen and moved to do the dishes when Scotty stepped in her way, "I'll do that. You go talk to Isabella. Maybe she'll...talk" he grinned.
"Ahh...good thinking, Valens, sending the best detective to do the job," she teased him.
"Don't flatter yourself. You didn't get confession yesterday"
She squinted her eyes in anger before walking away. She found Isa alone in the living room, she picked her up and sat down on the couch placing toddler in her lap, "Isa, you want to talk?"
Isa raised her eyebrows, "TAMMY!"
In split of a second Tamara came rushing in and stopped in front of her mum and sister taking hold of Isa's hand. Bella jumped of her mother's lap and running out of the living room together with Tammy she yelled 'no!'
From kitchen Lil observed two girls playing in the under dinning room table looking suspiciously at them when Scotty approached her from behind.
"You should be happy they're bonding, Lil"
"I should, shouldn't I...and yet, something is not right..."
"Ok, you'll keep them here and I'll go check their room for smokes, alcohol...drugs"
Lilly shot him a look and he rolled his eyes, "Ok, I'll distract them and you check the room"
"Scotty, it's no time to joke. Something happened and we need know what." she stated firmly, her detective mode turned on high.
"Lil," he placed a kiss on her neck " you mean you need to know?"
"Yes," she nodded.

In split of a second Tamara came rushing in and stopped in front of her mum and sister taking hold of Isa's hand. Bella jumped of her mother's lap and running out of the living room together with Tammy she yelled 'no!'
From kitchen Lil observed two girls playing in the under dinning room table looking suspiciously at them when Scotty approached her from behind.
"You should be happy they're bonding, Lil"
"I should, shouldn't I...and yet, something is not right..."
"Ok, you'll keep them here and I'll go check their room for smokes, alcohol...drugs"
Lilly shot him a look and he rolled his eyes, "Ok, I'll distract them and you check the room"
"Scotty, it's no time to joke. Something happened and we need know what." she stated firmly, her detective mode turned on high.
"Lil," he placed a kiss on her neck " you mean you need to know?"
"Yes," she nodded.


Lilly took a chair and watched as the two clapped their hands together. They were signing lightly and Lilly couldn't understand.
Lilly turned and noticed Scotty had left. She continued to watched and laughed Bella kissed Tammy on the cheek.
"Lil, you need to see something." Scotty called from upstairs.
Lilly didn't move, but stayed in the chair still.
"Lil?" Scotty whispered walking closer.
Before she could turn her head, Isabella crawled from under the table and ran out of the room crying. Lilly stood up and went to go after her but Tammy bet her to it.
She turned to Scotty and saw a black pair of troudsers in his hands.
"What are they?"
"I don't know." Scotty whispered, handing them to Lilly.
"Are they yours?"
"No, I found them in Isabella's room."
Lilly felt her heart stop but was brought back to reality when Scotty placed his hand on her shoulder.
"We need to know what's going on," she whispered.
"We can get it out of Tammy, some one's been in her room."

Lilly took a chair and watched as the two clapped their hands together. They were signing lightly and Lilly couldn't understand.
Lilly turned and noticed Scotty had left. She continued to watched and laughed Bella kissed Tammy on the cheek.

She turned to Scotty and saw a black pair of troudsers in his hands.
"What are they?"
"I don't know." Scotty whispered, handing them to Lilly.
"Are they yours?"
"No, I found them in Isabella's room."
Lilly felt her heart stop but was brought back to reality when Scotty placed his hand on her shoulder.
"We need to know what's going on," she whispered.
"We can get it out of Tammy, some one's been in her room."

Lilly swiftly moved up the stairs after Bella and Tammy when Scotty grabbed her arm, "Lil, calm down before you talk to Tamara."
"You have the worst possible scenerio in your head too, Scotty, so don't tell me to calm down."
Scotty followed Lilly to girls room, "Lil, I'll take Bella downstairs and you try to talk to Tammy, ok?"
They entered the room and two pairs of blue eyes shot them a look. Lil heard Scotty swollow hard before he whispered into her ear, "They have your Ice Queen look."
Now, Lil looked at Scotty with her piercing blue eyes, "It's our best weapon."
"Yeah, can't wait for them to become teenagers..."
Lilly turned her attention back to little girls sitting on the floor. Tammy's eyes went down Lil's arm focusing on the black pants in her hand. Her eyes lit up and she moved to grab trousers from her mum's hand. Isabella saw pants too but her reaction was opposite, she started crying and jumped on the bed hidding her had in pillows.
Tamara pressed the pants agains her chest and cherfully yelled "Finn."
Parents looked at each other confused, "Finn?"

Parents looked at each other confused, "Finn?"


Tamara giggled and went under the covers with Isabella.
Lilly let her heart slow down as she walked towards the phone. She quickly dialed Finn's number and waited for an answer.
"Hello," he whispered.

"Oh crap," he snapped on the phone. Lilly waited for an asnwer but silence filled the room.
"Finn?"
"It's a surprise."
"Surprise?"
"Well yeah, make sure Scotty can't hear."
Lilly walked out of the room quietly and went downstairs.
"Okay, now what is it?"
"Well, when his last treatment is done, we wanted to do something special. So the girls asked me to help."
"So why is Bella crying when she she's your pants?"
"I don't know, maybe she feels bad when she thinks about Scotty."
Lilly still felt suspicous but let it go, "Well you better make sure nothing goes wrong."
Lilly hung up and went upstairs. She watched as Scotty and the toddlers played with their blocks.

Tamara giggled and went under the covers with Isabella.
Lilly let her heart slow down as she walked towards the phone. She quickly dialed Finn's number and waited for an answer.
"Hello," he whispered.
"Finn, why are your trousers in my daughters room?"
"Oh crap," he snapped on the phone. Lilly waited for an asnwer but silence filled the room.
"Finn?"
"It's a surprise."
"Surprise?"
"Well yeah, make sure Scotty can't hear."
Lilly walked out of the room quietly and went downstairs.
"Okay, now what is it?"
"Well, when his last treatment is done, we wanted to do something special. So the girls asked me to help."
"So why is Bella crying when she she's your pants?"
"I don't know, maybe she feels bad when she thinks about Scotty."
Lilly still felt suspicous but let it go, "Well you better make sure nothing goes wrong."
Lilly hung up and went upstairs. She watched as Scotty and the toddlers played with their blocks.

Scotty got up and moved closer to Lil, "What did Finn say?"
"Uhmm...nothing."
"Nothing?"
"Yeah, nothing you have to worry about," Lil kissed her husband. He wanted to continue when he heard Matt crying. Walking downstairs he turned to his wife, "Lil, we ain't done talkin'."
"Ok. Sure." She closed the door to girls bedroom and sat on the floor by them. They played for a while before Lilly decided to try to talk to girls.
"You like Finn?"
Both toddlers nodded their heads without looking at their mum.
"When he comes over? Plays with you?"
Lil heard cheerful 'Yeah' form both girls. 'So far so good' she thought.
"So what do you do when he comes over?"
Tammy extended her arm waving a block in front of Lil.
"You play with blocks?"
"Yeah and dolls," Bella added with smile.
Lilly studied both girls for a moment, "Finn told me about the secret."
Isa raised her head and her blue eyes stared at her mum. 'Crap, Scotty's right, that look-' Lil's thoughts got interrupted by Bella's words.
"He did?"
"Yeah," Lilly smiled, "but I would like to hear about it form you."
Bella's eyes filled with tears, she got up and hugged her mum. Tammy started padding her sister on the back and Lil pulled her closer and cuddled both toddlers.

Scotty got up and moved closer to Lil, "What did Finn say?"
"Uhmm...nothing."
"Nothing?"
"Yeah, nothing you have to worry about," Lil kissed her husband. He wanted to continue when he heard Matt crying. Walking downstairs he turned to his wife, "Lil, we ain't done talkin'."

Before Lilly could ask more questions Scotty entered the room with Matthew on his chest.
"What's going on?"
Lilly hushed him and went back to calming down Isabella.
Scotty walked in closer and sqwatted down next to the 3. He reached out and rubbed Isabella's shoulders.
Bella immediately jumped out of Lilly's arms and ran out of the room.
Scotty groaned and placed Matt in Lilly's lap. He ran his hands through his hair and stared down at Tammy.
"She doesn't like me being like this does she?"
"Scotty, ofcourse she's going to be scared when her father starts going to the hospital every few weeks."
Tammy stood up and garbbed onto Scotty's legs. She pulled hars until he picked her up.
"Finn!" she yelled over and over again.
Scotty tried to get her to quiet down but she wouldn't.
"Maybe we should take her to him," he muttered tiredly after many hours.
Lilly eyes widened and she grabbed Tamara from him. "I'll do it, and I'll take Isabella while I'm at it."
Before Scotty could reply, she was gone.

"Ahh...so Mr. Psychologist, what's with the pants?"
"They're for a play girls asked me to help with. Play for Scotty, but..."
Finn looked at Isa playing with Tammy and silence arose between them that Lilly finally broke, "but?"
"At first everything was ok and now," Finn looked into his sister eyes, "Bella thinks it's a goodbye play. That Scotty will die and no matter what I say she doesn't believe me," he looked at Isa again, "She thinks it's her fault..."
"Her fault?"
"Yeah...your uhmm hospital stay and then Scotty's health problems started after what Patrick did. She knows Patrick did what he did because of her....She's a smart kid, sis. I told you that long ago," Finn got up and started walking towards girls.
"Hey, Finn. You'll be good psychologist."
He smiled, "I don't think so. I don't know how to fix it."
Lilly sat on the bench observing Finn and her kids. She tried to think of the solution to the problem but she didn't know how to fix it, either.

"I think we should tell Scotty," she whispered after a while.
"Why? It's supposed to be a surprise."
"Not that part, I mean, tell him that she's upset because she thinks he's gonna die."
"Ah, your'e a good detective sis."
"That's my job," she whispered, switching Bella's position on her chest, "Let's get them home, get Scotty to talk to them before they get too deep into their sleep."

When the girls where in their beds, Lilly got Scotty to talk to them. Scotty was now informed and decided he needed to get it out of Isabella himself.
"Hey honey," he whispered, seeing her lift her arms up, indicating that she wanted to be picked up from her bed.
He walked closer and sat down on the bed. He lent down and hugged her but did not pick her up.
"You want to tell me why you have been so sad lately?"
Bella shook her head and turned in the bed.
"You need to tell me, or daddy can't get better."
She quickly turned around and leaped into his arms. "Don't die daddy," she screamed.
"Is that why you have been upset?"
Bella nodded yes and looked up at him. "Are you going to leave me?"
"No honey, never. I'm just sick, like a cold," he paused to poke her nose, "It goes away when I stay in bed and rest."
Isabella smiled and kiss Scotty. "So you're staying with me?"
"Yeah, never leaving!"

After tucking in girls Scotty went to couple's bedroom and started underssing when Lilly came out form the bathroom.
"Did she tell you?"
"Yeah, everything's fine now. We talked. One more mistery to solve - what's with the pants?"
'It's nothing."
"Oh don't give me that crap, Lil! What's with the pants?"
Lilly moved closer and kissed him passionatelly. She moved her hands to his belt and helped Scotty undress. "It's nothing, really," she muttered against his lips.
Scotty got caught up in the passion forgetting about the subject, placing his hands on Lilly's hips he gently pushed her onto a bed.

In the morning, Scotty woke up to the sound of running shower.

In the morning, Scotty woke up to the sound of running shower.

He yelled so loud that Lil came running to the room, "Scotty? What happened?"

When the day of Scotty's treatment came, Lilly took a day off to wait for the news. Scotty was extremely nervous seeing it was his final treatment.
While Scotty was at the clinic, Lilly stayed at home and watched as Finn helped the girls prepare for the play. They were dressed in beautiful princess dresses, but they would not let on to Lilly the theme of the play.
"Is it a fairytale?" Lilly asked, watching as they pulled out a big box.
"No," the toddlers both whispered, giggling as they went along.
"Come on, you can tell mummy."
"No, we have to practise, go!" Isabella yelled, pushing Lilly out. Lilly sighed, hearing Finn whisper, "Okay, let's get it ready."

Lilly was sitting on the couch, watching TV when Scotty entered the house.
"Hey," she whispered, coming closer to him.
She gently kissed him and pulled him onto the couch.
"Okay, you need to stay here, the girls have something for you."
"What?"
"Well Matt and Seirra are sleeping, but Bella and Tammy have something specialy they want to show you."
Lilly weas gone and in a slip second, she was back.
"Okay, watch."
Scotty looked over and saw his daughters walking in. He chuckled to himself as he saw them struggle to walk in their long dresses. As he looked more to the side, he saw Finn standing and smiling. He realised this was what the fuss has all been about.

Lilly was sitting on the couch, watching TV when Scotty entered the house.
"Hey," she whispered, coming closer to him.
She gently kissed him and pulled him onto the couch.
"Okay, you need to stay here, the girls have something for you."
"What?"
"Well Matt and Seirra are sleeping, but Bella and Tammy have something specialy they want to show you."
Lilly weas gone and in a slip second, she was back.
"Okay, watch."
Scotty looked over and saw his daughters walking in. He chuckled to himself as he saw them struggle to walk in their long dresses. As he looked more to the side, he saw Finn standing and smiling. He realised this was what the fuss has all been about.

After play was over Scotty picked up his girls, “Thank you girls. That was beautiful. You did an amazing job and for that you deserve an ice-cream.”
“Uncle Finn help us with it!”
Scotty chuckled and looked at Finn, “Then Uncle Finn deserves ice-cream too.”
They all went to kitchen and sat down by the counter while Lilly prepared the dessert. After girls were done eating Scotty took them upstairs to get ready for bed.
Finn made Lilly tea and offered to clean up.
“Thank you for what you did,” she took a sip and sat down observing her brother, “girls had fun and Scotty really enjoyed it.”

Lil was surprised by his muttering and interrupted him, “You want to move in with us?”
Finn smiled but his head still down, “Yeah…I got accepted to Temple and it would save me dorm costs,” he looked up and added quickly, “but I could get part time job and pay you rent, you know.”
“Finn, we don’t have spare bedroom. Where would you sleep?”
“Basement. I know it’s unfinished but it would be fine with me.”
Lil smiled, “We’ll see. Now go home Finn. It’s late.”

Scotty sighed and turned his back to Lilly, "I don't know, I don't want your brother here 24/7!"
"He just needs a place that will not be money to stay at. And I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to pay him for work. We're both back at work, normal wages, were doing fine."
"Just drop it Lil," Scotty muttered harshly, yanking the blanket closer to him and away from her.
She pulled it back and moaned when pulled it back again.
"Scotty, what's so bad about Finn, he can look after the kids while were at work instead of having to drop them off or getting my dad to come here."
"Godamnit Lil I said no!"
Lilly sat up and tried to turn him around. When he wouldn't budge she sat on his legs.
"There's nothing wrong with it."
"What happens if we come early or something."
"We never come home early."
"Or if we have a day off, what are we gonna do if he's here and we can't do anything cause your so loud."
"Excuse me," Lilly whispered, "You never tell me to tone it down."
Scotty pushed her off and she fell onto the bed.
"I don't want him hearing us getting into it."
"Into it huh?"
"Lil it ain't funny, I'm serious."
"Relax, we'll figure it out."
Lilly jumped on top of him and pushed him back. "We can talk more in the morning," she whispered and leaned in for a kiss.

In the morning Scotty got to the bathroom and pulled open the shower curtain, “Crap! Lil, you did it again!”
Lilly turned water off and covered herself with the towel, smiling she went to the bedroom “I didn’t do it again. I said we can talk more in the morning.”
“So talk.”
“Finn will stay in the basement and we’ll figure out the rest.”
“That ain’t talking. That’s stating something and I still say no. Hell no!”
“You like getting up earlier to drop off the kids? Or spending time driving them back instead of actually spending time with them? Playing? And he can do all the stuff around the house you don’t have time for.”
“Oh, that’s not fair. I’ve been sick and before that workin’.”
“I didn’t mean it like that,” Lil moved closer to kiss him, “we’ve been through a lot. Help…would be nice.”
“I’m still not convinced, Lil”
At that moment bedroom door opened and Isa came running in hugging Scotty’s leg, “Daddy!” He picked her up; Bella hugged him and then leaned away from him to kiss her mum, “Mummy!”
Lilly took her from Scotty and headed downstairs with Matt and Tammy following behind her.
Few minutes later Scotty with youngest kid in his arms came in to the kitchen placing Seirra in high chair.
“What about…volume problem, Lil?”
She chuckled, “We have four kids in the house already. You don’t mind them hearing us?”
“They don’t know what…the sound…is all about.”
“Not yet but it’s not gonna last forever”
Scotty looked at his kids, “we have to learn to keep it down.”
“Exactly. Finn will help us learn it, so to speak.”
“But if he’ll walk in on us or he’ll cause even one fight or he’ll break-“
Lil stopped him with the kiss and murmured against his lips, “I get it. He’ll be gone. Now take pancakes to the kids.”
