I'm getting caught up with the episodes this week. I really liked this case and everything on the side. The fact that this was a Scotty case. It's the first one I believe I've really liked. It was kinda sad but the case in real life of how favors are done with the Jurisprudence resort and all the perks afforded to all who are "in" of it's means of success. It was sickening to see on the screen, though and well written and played and directed. Lilly and Saccardo or "Scare Crow" as I refer to him. Ick! Not one of my Lilly's favorite men, obviously. ;D On the Kat leaving I would have guessed she would have been the first to go since she was the junior of the squad. I suppose the writers will be taking turns with the cast this season as far as who is included week to week. I wonder if this has nixed the ADA/Kat storyline from last season. I gave the ep an excellent.

There had been a similar case on The Good Wife (another show on CBS, what a coincidence), where a judge put people into juvenile detention for money. Question to folks in the US: had there been discussion or a real case in the past year?

Yes, it was based on a ongoing case in Pennsylvania where two juvenile court judges took kickbacks from the owners of a privately run juvenile center to send as many kids as possible there.
